This document is part of a doctoral article defended in 2022, being a theoretical discussion about the Absorptive Capacity and Sustainable Performance of organizations and their relationships. The discussion focuses on questions such as: “which organizational routines allow the acquisition of external green knowledge?” or “which mental models allow the acquisition of green knowledge in organizations”? Does the theoretical discussion propose hypotheses regarding the relationship between: sustainable mental models (MMS) and organizational routines (OR) as drivers of green absorptive capacity and the sustainable performance of organizations? Provided by a content analysis, based on articles indexed in SCOPUS and WEB of SCIENCE.

It is not new to talk about investor-led building production as a contrast to common needs, though the architect is rarely mentioned as an important figure in these phenomena. Neither are the users and the community initiatives, who seek process changes, becoming therefore the link that justifies and further feeds the space-production-cycle with arguments. Architecture is widely discussed in terms of technicalities and production efficiency among its own technician circle, with little regard to its means to promote better living conditions where users, not only investors, are important drivers. The essential definition and visualization by the architects of their own profession and their role in society - hypothetically defeated - is the trigger to allow any changes in the sector to happen.

The current context, linked to environmental pollution problems, presents several demands related to communication aimed at organizations and citizens to achieve better levels of environmental sustainability. Medicines for home use are products that require specific guidelines for consumption and disposal and have specific legislation that guides the disposal of their leftovers or those that are expired, due to their potential and pollution of the environment. In this sense, this study intends to demonstrate how Design plays an important role, guiding individuals to proceed with the correct disposal and mitigating the impact of pollution of the environment by drugs. As for the methods, it presents part of the results of a master's research characterized as qualitative, which made use of documentary and field research to obtain its data. The results demonstrate how communication is an important sector to be considered within a circular network for the effectiveness of Public Policies aimed at Solid Waste Management, especially with regard to the Disposal of Expired or Disused Medicines for Home Use. In this sense, there is Design, as a tool to help consumers exercise their civic duty in the part that fits them in the shared responsibility for the life cycle of products provided for in the National Policy on Solid Waste.

The ArcGIS Enterprise platform consists of advanced mapping and analytical reasoning tools and offers a set of location-based functionalities. The Sigabem project, which integrates this work, has been developed through various tools in search of technological accessibility solutions for people with disabilities to public transportation in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. This work aimed to analyze the development process of a mobile application developed on the ArcGIS platform, through a tool that could offer the resources and implement the requirements of the Sigabem App. It was observed that through the use of the ArcGIS Experience Builder tool, it is possible to explore the functionalities according to the project's needs. This tool is appropriate and fulfills its objective as a source of solutions for geoprocessing problems related to the geoinformation area. The dissemination of the application to its target audience is expected, as well as adjustments for performance improvements or the insertion of other functionalities.

The growing population directly impacts waste generation and, consequently, the environment. In this context, Lean-Green practice emerges from the connection between lean construction practices and sustainable concepts in certification programs in an attempt to implement the efficient use of available resources. Thus, this study aims to understand the relationship between Lean Construction (LC) and LEED certification. A systematic literature review was carried out on EBSCO, Scopus and Web of Science databases. In total, 30 articles were identified initially, but only 12 were selected for critical reading and analysis. As a result, the main synergy between both approaches were the existing relationships between principles of the construction system and certification categories were identified. Regarding benefits, we identified: improvements in management at the construction site and cost reduction and improvement in logistics of materials. Differences were also identified in final objective of each approach - LEED certification focuses on sustainability whilst LC on reducing costs and waste in the execution of the work; this difference is seen as a barrier to the connection between the studied approaches.

The urban climate is understood as a modification resulting from and introduced in the environment by its urban structure and by the human activities that occur in cities. Its contextualization related to the occupation and planning of urban space leads to new climate patterns, which can transform the environment in which cities are inserted and the thermal comfort of populations. Once the urban climate is modified, it has consequences both on the energy performance of constructions and on environmental issues inherent to the development of urban centers arising from both civil construction and disorderly urban expansion. According to the field of research that studies and evaluates these issues, energy efficiency and environmental performance are directly linked to climate factors, and their improvement provides for a multidisciplinarity between the understanding of the urban climate,human action, energy sustainability and the climate phenomena to bring about a transformation in city and construction projects with the common objective of effectively improving the problems arising from these interactions.

The present study aims to map the concepts and authors mobilized in academic works where the terms Social Design and/or Design for Social Innovation are prominently employed, thus constructing an understanding of which are the discipline's canons, theoretical contributions, and where they are applied. The research methodology adopted is the Systematic Literature Review, using the Parsifal software for managing research stages and having as its scope academic works in Portuguese that are better ranked on the Google Scholar platform. The results point to a defined group of authors who are recurrently mobilized, forming a mandatory theoretical framework for the discipline, in addition to identifying characteristics of the field in academic production and patterns of practical application.

This paper aims to propose a method for assessing slope stability through probabilities, which can support sustainability based on an understanding of land use and land cover. The method uses the SHALSTAB mathematical model as a deterministic basis and, in order to take into account uncertainties, applies the Monte Carlo method in conjunction with probability density functions. Deterministic methods alone consider the events and parameters to be unique, as if no randomness exists. The events and combinations of soil parameters that generate instabilities are random, and for this reason the proposed method achieved optimal results. In general, the use of mean values for the parameters is used in deterministic modelling, but these mean values do not represent the continuous variation existing in the field, and there is also a great chance that the applied means do not summarize the study area correctly. Monte Carlo relies on the law of large numbers that will tend to the average probability after several simulations, and for this reason stochasticity carries more powerful information than determinism. A total of 100,000 SHALSTAB simulations were run, varying in each iteration the geomechanical parameters of the soils, soil depth and saturated hydraulic conductivity, as results, the calculated statistical AUC (Area Under the ROC Curve), used to validate the method, was 0.887.
(Area Under the ROC Curve)为0.887,用于验证方法。

This research addresses the aspects that define the creation of material libraries and presents the process for implementing an academic material library in the Institute of Arts and Design at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora. The methodology includes a literature review stage about the structuring and functioning of material libraries and the relevance of these collections in the teaching and practice of design; a case report stage, presenting the process of creating the academic material library; and stages of analysis and synthesis of results. The results discussion shows the effectiveness of the guidelines defined for cataloging, which organizes and differentiates the samples, in addition to enabling the expansion and diversification of the collection. Finally, it is evidenced that the access to the material library can contribute to academic training in a flexible, experimental and intuitive way considering the didactic use and the possibility of sensorial contact with the materials.

This paper presents the report and results of teaching and extension activities of the Brinequo Project, developed since 2018 and which integrates the Teaching, Research and Extension activities of Univille. The project aims to develop recreational and educational toys that can be used in the treatment and rehabilitation of people with disabilities and as stimuli for the elderly. A participatory approach was used, involving academics from two classes of the Design course in the discipline Design, Ethics and Sustainability. To achieve the project's objective, the active learning methodology "Crowd-Design" was used in a participatory process carried out asynchronously through an online platform called "Cria Junto", that allows students to share their ideas and, in an interactive process, gradually optimize their proposals based on suggestions and contributions from colleagues, professors and professionals who work in the project's partner entities. The project aims to develop recreational and educational toys that can be used in the treatment and rehabilitation of people with disabilities and as stimuli for the elderly. A participatory approach was used, involving academics from two classes of the Design course in the discipline Design, Ethics and Sustainability. To achieve the project's objective, the active learning methodology \"Crowd-Design\" was used in a participatory process carried out asynchronously through an online platform called \"Cria Junto\", that allows students to share their ideas and, in an interactive process, gradually optimize their proposals based on suggestions and contributions from colleagues, professors and professionals who work in the project's partner entities. As a result of teaching and extension activities, twenty games were created, nine games for people with disabilities and eleven for elderly people.","PeriodicalId":115879,"journal":{"name":"ENSUS2023 - XI Encontro de Sustentabilidade em Projeto","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121966953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
