The Impact of a Flipped Classroom on Reading Comprehension in Students 翻转课堂对学生阅读理解的影响

In the "flipped classroom" educational concept, the typical study and assignment components of learning are "reversed" or "flipped." Most of the homework is done initially at home than in class. This study examined how flipped classrooms affect students' reading comprehension and how they view them. This study used a pre-experimental mixed-methods approach that combined quantitative and qualitative procedures. The study was conducted at one of the state senior high school in Probolinggo, involving 32 students. The study used five open-ended questions on questionnaires and reading assessments—an examination of information gleaned through questionnaires and pre-and post-tests. The study shows that the flipped classroom favors their learning and learning experience. Furthermore, the students assume the flipped classroom as a fun teaching method that encourages them to be more engaged in their learning and helps them improve in areas where they need it.

Colonization carried out by the Dutch government and its influence on Dutch government policy in the implementation of education in Aceh which was only attended by descendants of the nobility, reaped the enthusiasm of Daud Beureueh to carry out education with the Madrasah model in which he taught exact sciences and also religious education for all. Acehnese children without exception, at the beginning of the 20th century and in 1939 Daud Beureuh Initiated the concept of the Madrasah Curriculum in Aceh where the Aceh Dayah - Dayah adopted the Madrasah education curriculum system, in 1939 Daud Beureueh was elected chairman of the Aceh Ulama Association (PUSA), Daud Beureuh through PUSA formed the alignment of the Madrasa curriculum in Aceh and the School for prospective madrasa teachers, the Normal Islam Institute (NII). This study used descriptive qualitative method.

Implementation of Jogja Madrasa Digital, Garda Kagum and Its Impact at Yogyakarta Madrasah Teachers' Quality and Motivation 日惹宗教学校数字化、Garda Kagum的实施及其对日惹宗教学校教师素质和动机的影响

This study applies quantitative research with path analisis by SmartPls.  It is aimed to investigate the implementation Jogja Madrasah Digital, Garda Kagum and the influence of teacher excellent and teacher quality at Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study discovered that: a) the JMD Innovation construct has no significant effect on Madrasah Teacher Motivation and Madrasah Teacher Quality; b) the JMD Innovation construct has no significant effect on the Garda Kagum construct variable; c) the Garda Kagum construct has a significant influence on Madrasah Teacher Motivation of 49.9%; and d) the Garda Kagum construct variable has a significant influence on Madrasah In-depth investigation should uncover additional elements that contribute to the rise in Jogja Madrasa Digital for madrasa teach

Improving Teacher Digital Literacy Competence Through Principal Leadership 通过校长领导提高教师数字素养

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the increase in teacher digital literacy competence through the participation of the principal's leadership and the overall nature of the research subjects on the research background with existing characteristics. The case in this study is an illustration of teacher digital literacy competence, the principal's leadership style in supporting the increase of teacher digital literacy competence, and supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing teacher digital literacy competence. This study uses a phenomenological qualitative approach with a case study design at SD IT Satria Bangsa in Bogor Regency due to the condition of the school's orphaned students with limited funds and inadequate financial conditions. Election Data collection techniques are through observation, interviews and documentation. The data collection technique uses triangulation, data analysis is inductive in nature, and the results of qualitative research emphasize meaning rather than generalization . Based on data analysis, it was found that the supporting factor was the principal's leadership style in the form of mentoring and service to teachers who motivated and helped improve digital literacy competence. While the inhibiting factors of teacher digital competence at SD IT Satria Bangsa are the lack of teacher awareness and discipline in learning and inadequate learning media.

The Influence of Use of Gadgets on Student Character Development 电子产品的使用对学生性格发展的影响

This research is motivated by the development of Science and Technology (IPTEK) which is heading towards an all-digital world. The use of gadgets needs to be balanced with correct and controlled education, because their use can be one of the factors that shape human character in a positive or negative direction. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using gadgets on the character formation of SD Negeri 01 Sumberejo students. This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with a linear regression statistical test used to test the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The subjects of this study were students in grades IV and V totaling 60 respondents. Data collection techniques were through observation and using questionnaires, while data analysis used simple linear regression which was processed with the help of the SPPS version 20 program. From various series of data tests it was found that the t value was 6,194 > t table 2,202, with a significance value of 0.000, the hypothesis Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. The coefficient of determination obtained is 39.8%, the use of gadgets affects character formation, while the remaining 60.2% is influenced by other factors outside the variables studied. Then from the simple linear regression equation, it is known that the value of y = a + bX (17.945 + 1.365X) which can be concluded that there is an effect of using gadgets on the character formation of SD Negeri 01 Sumberejo students.

The Effectiveness of Bima Folktales as Learning Materials to Teach Reading Comprehension 毕玛民间故事作为学习材料在阅读理解教学中的有效性

Bima is one of the region located at West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. This tribe has many well-known folk stories between their people that can be considered as learning materials to teach reading comprehension in EFL class. The previous studies showed that folktales is effective to teach reading comprehension, it enhance reading comprehension achievement of students. However, how effective Bima folktales as learning materials to teach reading comprehension especially at the level senior high school’s students should be investigated because there is no study about it before. Being designed in true experimental with post-test only control group, the objective of this study is to find out whether using of Bima folktales as learning materials is effective or not to teach reading comprehension on high school‘s students. Conducted on tenth grade students of IPA at SMA Negeri 2 which consists of 62 students who were divided into experimental group and control group. These two groups were proved on the same level of reading comprehension ability by the scores of mid-term test. Based on independent t-test in SPSS 20.0 version for windows calculation, it was proved that the significant values of variances assumed was .097. It is indicated that the students’ reading comprehension achievement of experimental group and control group were homogenous. Meanwhile, sig. (2-tailed) value was .005 which less than .050 and it means that the H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of study showed that students of experimental group were performed better than students of the control group, although they have the same level of reading comprehension before the treatments were given. Suggestions purposed for further researchers to conduct the study with the related topic by providing more learning materials about Bima folktales. Because the time limited during Covid-19, the next researcher also could add more times for treatments, choosing more samples and preparing the test items more than the available items in order to have back up items if there are many difficulty items than the moderate items or if there are items deleted.

Out-of-school children (ATS) and vulnerable children dropping out of school (ARPS) are problems in education that the government must face. Today, the number of out-of-school children and dropouts has increased. For this reason, the government must develop strategies to deal with these problems. The purpose of this analysis is to increase HDI in a region. The research method used is a literature study that focuses on literature, journals, and articles. The results of the research The strategy to restore ATS and prevent ARPS must be carried out according to the environmental conditions of individual children. By providing adequate and easily accessible learning facilities both formally and non-formally, then providing motivation and support for children's conditions with an interesting and fun learning system.

The research examines the role of the school principal in formulating, implementing, and evaluating programs for an excellent character-based school. It adopts a qualitative approach, employing interviews, observations, and documentation. The principal's involvement, monitoring, guidance, and motivation are crucial, alongside integrating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development, curriculum integration, customized teaching methods, extracurricular activities, collaborations, and ensuring student preparedness for further education.The research findings highlight the crucial role of the school principal in formulating, implementing, and evaluating programs for an excellent character-based school. This includes their active involvement in program formulation, their role as a supervisor in program implementation, their responsibility in creating a supportive and communicative work environment, and their engagement in program evaluation through various measures. Additionally, the school principal plays a significant role in integrating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development, recruiting qualified educators, digitalizing infrastructure, integrating subjects, adapting teaching methods, offering extracurricular activities, establishing collaborations, and ensuring students' readiness for further education.

Human Capital in Higher Education (A Theoretical and Empirical Review 高等教育人力资本:理论与实证综述

The article discusses a systematic review related to Human Capital and the field of Education. The structure of this systematic review involves formulating research questions, conducting a systematic literature search, screening and selecting relevant articles, performing analysis and synthesis of findings, applying quality control measures, and drawing final conclusions. The changes brought about by globalization, advancements in information, technological developments, and intense competition have led companies and educational institutions to modify their strategies. There has been a paradigm shift regarding the fundamental assets of an organization in recent decades. Human Capital plays a central role in the success of both profit and non-profit organizations. By utilizing existing literature reviews, it becomes possible to address two main issues: analyzing the relationship between human capital and the field of education, particularly in higher education, and exploring human capital management.

This research was purposed to describe how comic strips media was implemented to improve students’ skills in writing narrative text at MA. Riyadlus Sholihin Probolinggo. This research applied Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The researcher was helped by a collaborator in designing the lesson plan, implementing the action, observing the action, and making reflection. The subjects of the study were eleventh grade students of language program of MA. Riyadlus Sholihin Probolinggo. This action research consisted of two cycles because in the second cycle the criteria of success were achieved. Each of the cycle consisted of three meetings for teaching learning process and one for the test. The data analysis used quantitative data and qualitative data. The quantitative data were obtained from the students’ writing test and the qualitative data were obtained from observation checklist and field-notes. The criteria of success were fulfilled after the implementation or the treatment in the second cycle. It means that the students’ skill in writing narrative text improved. It is related to the students active participation, student interest, students` enjoyment during English learning using Comic strips media. It also reveals that the students’ achievement in the test with the mean score 77.56 which was better than the mean score in the pre- test, 62.6. This score was better than the mean score in cycle 1, which was 75.4. The observation checklist and field note also proves that the students are interested in learning narrative text by implementing Comic strips media. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the implementation of comic strips media improve students’ skill in writing narrative text. In order to be successful, several procedures in teaching and learning activities should be followed. First, it has students discussion activities in groups. Second, the teacher explained detailed about sentence pattern of past tense and structure in which the students frequently made mistakes. Then, the teacher explaining conjunction to help students in collaborating sentences for good writing. Therefore, the result of this research is expected to help students to write better by implementing comic strips media. Key Words: Writing Skill, Narrative text, Comic Strips
