Measuring Recidivism Rate: Its Predictive Variables and Antecedents 累犯率的测量:预测变量与前因式

This study examined the recidivism rate at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – National Capital Region (BJMP-NCR), Philippines, from 2020 to 2022 based on predictive variables and antecedents of recidivism. The results revealed that young individuals; males; married; Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) with drug cases, leading to death or intending to cause death, and acts involving fraud and deception; and those having shorter stays in prison tend to recidivate more. Likewise, the pattern of recidivism in the Metro Manila District Jail (MMDJ) from 2020 to 2022 was affected by the existence of the COVID-19 pandemic. In conclusion, both predictive variables and antecedents of recidivism show no significant association with the pattern of recidivism.

Mental Well-Being of AIMS Students During the Pre-Pandemic: A Case Study 大流行前AIMS学生的心理健康:个案研究

Using the Qualitative method, 25 AIMS students participated, sharing their mental health perceptions, status, and recommendations through Focus Group Discussions (FGD). Demographics show participants aged 18-22, mostly male, single, and Roman Catholic, with a significant representation from maritime programs. Clinical profiles reveal varied family arrangements, active campus involvement, full study loads, and some engagement in drinking and smoking. Mental health is mostly associated with cognition, with concerns including eating habits, sleep, medical issues, anxiety, and depression. Family-related stressors are primary, leading to emotion-focused coping strategies. Physical/social activities, education, and psycho-spiritual practices are suggested for promoting mental health on campus. The findings inform the development of mental health initiatives for the institution, emphasizing holistic well-being. The study findings indicate that mental health, as perceived by these students, predominantly revolves around cognitive aspects. Concerns encompass eating habits, sleep patterns, medical issues, anxiety, and depression. The primary stressors identified are related to family dynamics, leading students to employ emotion-focused coping strategies. To promote mental health on campus, students recommend a multifaceted approach encompassing increased participation in physical and social activities, heightened educational efforts and awareness, and the incorporation of psycho-spiritual practices. These insights serve as a foundation for the development of tailored mental health initiatives within the institution, emphasizing the holistic well-being of AIMS students.

Implementation of the Lamikro Application in the Preparation of J'Ramy Farm Financial Statements in accordance with SAK EMKM 根据SAK EMKM,在J'Ramy农场财务报表编制中实施Lamikro应用

J'Rami Farm is a dairy farm located in Bogor. In financial management, the owner manually records sales transactions of milk, dairy products as well as expenditures for the purchase of feed, tofu dregs and employee salaries. Meanwhile, expense transactions for overhead costs such as electricity costs, fuel costs, depreciation costs and trade receivables have not been recorded routinely and completely. This causes the financial condition is not known with certainty, because every month the owner has not made a financial report. The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of the Lamikro application (micro business accounting reports) in the presentation of financial statements based on SAK EMKM. The Lamikro application is an application created by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs which is expected to assist business people in making financial reports independently and according to SAK EMKM standards. The research methodology used in this study is a qualitative method through interviews and observations. The results showed that the use of the Lamikro application was able to help J'Rami Farm to present bankable financial reports and in accordance with Accounting Standards. The obstacle faced by the owner in using the application is the lack of understanding of accounting, while the limitation of the Lamikro application is that the user cannot edit and add accounts that match the business character of a business.

Project FIERCE: Exploring the Students’ Perspective and Behavior towards Research Subject 项目凶猛:探索学生对研究课题的看法和行为

To support and achieve the goals and objectives of the Department of Education, the researcher conducted seminar entitled Project FIERCE. The main purpose of this research was to determine the students’ perspective and behavior towards research subject relative to the conduct of Project FIERCE. The study made use of the phenomenological type of qualitative approach, and the findings were drawn from semi-structured interviews. The nine (9) participants are all Senior High School students from New Taugtog National High School who completed and participated in three (3) - day seminar. Participants were asked about in what ways their perception and behavior regarding the research subject changed after participating in Project FIERCE seminar. It was found out that participants of the project FIERCE seminar gained knowledge and experience in research subjects, which resulted in a significant decrease in stress and a marked increase in confidence. This indicates the positive impact of Project FIERCE on research perspective and behavior. This research further concluded through Project FIERCE seminar, the participants acknowledged that the tasks in research subject can still be difficult, but they felt more capable and ready to take on challenges. With this positive result, it may lead to the success of attaining K-12 goals and objectives. Thus, it is highly recommended that the Department of Education should continue programs and policies that would support and provide seminars similar to Project FIERCE, which increase the perspection and behavior of students towards research subject.

The Effect of Organizational Trust and Job Satisfaction on Job Performance with Employee Engagement as a Mediating Variable 组织信任、工作满意对工作绩效的影响:以员工敬业度为中介变量

The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of organizational trust and job satisfaction on job performance through employee engagement at PT. Adikara Jaya Sentosa. This research is a causality study with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample with a total of 75 respondents. The statistical analysis used in this study is the partial least squares (PLS) with the help of smartPLS 3.0 software. The results of this study prove that organizational trust has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Organizational trust has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on job performance. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement. In the indirect effect analysis, employee engagement is able to mediate the influence between organizational trust and job satisfaction on job performance.

Integration of Local Farmers' Knowledge for Sustainable Agriculture (Case Study of Horticultural Farmers in Waihatu Village) 整合本地农民知识促进可持续农业发展(以怀哈图村园艺农民为例)

This research aims to explore farmer knowledge and learning practices with a focus on the role of informal knowledge and learning in strengthening agricultural sustainability and resilience. This research was conducted from May-June 2023 in the village of Waihatu, Kairatu District, West Seram Regency, Maluku Province, which is a center for horticultural crop production. This research uses a qualitative research design using case studies and in-depth interviews, observation, and document research. The results showed that the diversity of knowledge sources and forms of learning used by farmers and the special role of local farmer knowledge. That the knowledge potential of farmers is not utilized optimally and there are several ways in which various types of knowledge can be integrated by individual farmers by synthesizing knowledge from various sources, through farmer networks, both facilitated by formal agriculture and knowledge institutions, through collaboration between farmers and researchers as knowledge generators, and through multi-actor knowledge networks that bring together various fields. That dynamic context, complexity and local specificity of today's challenges facing agriculture and the many roles it is asked to fulfill requires more inclusive, flexible modes of knowledge generation, integration and sharing. All stakeholders and all types of knowledge need to be brought together on the same basis in the innovation process. To this end, policy frameworks and initiatives that promote interactive multi-actor approaches to development agriculture, can play a sizeable role.

That dynamic context, complexity and local specificity of today's challenges facing agriculture and the many roles it is asked to fulfill requires more inclusive, flexible modes of knowledge generation, integration and sharing. All stakeholders and all types of knowledge need to be brought together on the same basis in the innovation process. The Traditional Games of Macabebe, Pampanga 邦板牙岛马卡比的传统游戏

The study aimed to discover the undocumented traditional games within the Municipality of Macabebe, Pampanga, the Philippines. The data findings are to be contextualized in the educational implications of the Physical Education curriculum. With the use of a qualitative research approach, particularly a focused ethnography, a total of 16 key informants with age ranges from 61 to 102 years old participated in the semi-structured interview. After the data process, there were 11 traditional games found, five in the coastal area classified as moderately vigorous intensity when playing while six games in the land were vigorous. Using the Braun and Clarke thematic analysis, three themes were explicated. The first theme encompasses the people in Macabebe’s way of life and how the participants provide basic needs to their families. The second theme describes the origin of undocumented conventional games. The third theme states the educational implications of the Physical Education curriculum among the students. Relatively, the study provides data that enumerates the undocumented traditional games in Macabebe to be integrated into the curriculum.

Using of Hugot Lines in Teaching Figures of Speech in Filipino Subject 于格线在菲律宾语修辞格教学中的应用

Hugot lines are in casual used in different places, even in the classroom. It is a figure of speech. It is also an expression of deep emotion that was tried dig out and indirectly states but has relation to the past and feelings of the speaker. The aim of this study is determine the effects of Hugot line in teaching Figure of Speech or Tayutay in Filipino. The study had utilized Quasi-Experimental research design where assessment tests and narrative inquiry questionnaire was used to gather the required data. Convinience sampling was employed. Two classes have participated consisting of 100 participants or 50 students in each classes. The assessment instrument is composed of 20 questions pertaining to Figures of Speech. The narrative inquiry questionnaire consist of 1 question “What are the effects of Hugot Line in Teaching Figures of Speech?” Based from the results, it concludes that : there is no gap in pre-assessment of the two groups but larger gap in the post-assessment scores where experimental group is much higher; there is no significant differences in the scores in pre-assessment and post-assessments of the groups to each other. Also, 8 themes have emerged from their narratives, including; (a) Interesting, (b) Active Sharing, (c) Easier to Comprehend, (d) Fun, (e) Active in Classes, (f) Meaningful Discussions, (g) Easier to Remember, and (h) can relate to self. Based from the narratives of the students, it shows that there is a positive effect in the teaching process based from the narratives of the students.

Evaluation of The Implementation of The Angkutan Cerdas Sekolah Program (ACS) in Ponorogo Regency Ponorogo县Angkutan Cerdas Sekolah项目(ACS)实施情况评价

Smart School Transportation (ACS) is a program from the Ponorogo Regency Government as an effort to make it easier for students to get free school transportation. The purpose of this research is to describe the evaluation of the implementation of the ACS Program and to describe the inhibiting and supporting factors for the implementation of the ACS program in Ponorogo Regency. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data analysis techniques Qualitative analysis is carried out through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and withdrawal conclusion. The results of the study show that the ACS program in the District Ponorogo is still not running effectively. In terms of effectiveness, it has not been effective because there are still many underage children who use motorbikes. The efficiency aspect has been fulfilled because it has implemented cost and time efficiency in program operations. In the aspect of adequacy still not fulfilled because of the limited number and capacity of the fleet in transporting students. In the aspect of alignment it is still not evenly distributed because there are still many schools that have not received program services. The responsiveness aspect has received response and support from ACS users and parents. Aspects of provisions, programs This ACS is right on target, namely to transport students. In the implementation of the ACS program, of course, there are inhibiting and supporting factors. The inhibiting factor for the first ACS program was resources, because human resources in the form of Department of Transportation staff were inadequate to carry out socialization and financial resources were also inadequate, which affected the provision of fleets and the provision of program support facilities. The second inhibiting factor is the bureaucratic structure due to the absence of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that are clear and regional regulations that cover program implementation. While the supporting factors for the implementation of the first ACS program, namely, communication through transmission and clarity of information have been running optimally. The second supporting factor is the attitude of the implementer that liveliness officer executor socialization from Service Communications Ponorogo Regency for schools and students is carried out continuously every new school year.

Fostering Pre-service Physical Educators’ Retention of Concepts in a Professional Education Course Using Moneypoly Game 运用金钱游戏培养职前体育工作者在专业教育课程中的概念记忆

Diversified development of educational strategies has been increasingly growing in the field of teacher education to address the challenges in residential-based learning brought by the virtual classroom setting. Necessarily, the application of game-based learning (GBL) is viewed to significantly contribute to complementing the students' learning deficiencies. Hence, this study was conducted to increase concept retention among pre-service physical educators (PSPEs) through a game-based assessment strategy called moneypoly game. This descriptive-qualitative collaborative action research study comprised 48 student-participants enrolled in the professional education course, “Curriculum and Assessment in Physical Education and Health Education for K to 12”, at a teacher education institution in Central Luzon, Philippines during the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023. Educational activities related to the moneypoly game were implemented multiple times during the face-to-face class sessions. Subsequently, open-ended reflective questionnaires were administered to obtain authentic and valid data to capture the increment of concept retention among the PSPEs. Adhering to Braun and Clarke’s Thematic Analysis technique, students’ responses were themed via qualitative analysis software powered by MAXQDA Analytics Pro 2022. Findings revealed three (3) emerging themes that helped learners retain long-term memory of the lessons' concepts. This includes (1) learners’ experiences in the moneypoly game that strengthen their concept retention, (2) contributing factors to students’ constant participation, and (3) significant recommendations to improve the game-based assessment strategy in the next cycle. These characteristics of the moneypoly game influenced the way that students learned and remembered information. This led to the perception that the intervention generated multiform driving forces for the learners' all-encompassing learning. The exploration and utilization of GBL could be applied to other areas of discipline to corroborate the findings made in this study.
