This study has the objective to verify the of accessibility conditions in a public institution located in the state of Parana, starting from the perception of employees with disabilities. Seven employees of the respective university, who declares themselves as having disabilities participated in the research. The data was collected using semi structured interviews. The data was discussed, starting from authors who theorize about this theme, or that are based to the Historical – Cultural Theory. The results revealed that, on the perception of the participants, the institution still has many barriers to accessibility, however, the participants believe that the university is trying to eliminate those obstacles, especially the ones related to architectonic, making adaptations and constructions such as: ramps, parking lots, adapted bathrooms, and others. We concluded that there is a need of enhancement of accessibility policy, and an effective careful and continuous evaluation of employees, needs.

This article aims at reflecting about possibilities of resistance in academic life at the university. Such a reflection has elected at its starting point two practices developed by students in their formation process in the Psychology Graduation Course of the Federal University of Catalão/UFCAT, namely, the Psi Soirée (extension and culture action) and singing groups in CAPS (a specific activity related to the supervised training students take as part of the curriculum). The soirée is taken as a space-time experimentation of other ways of being together at the university. It brings small events in defense of a minor Education, performed in the gaps found in the institutionalized norms. In the same perspective, the singing groups make possible an inventive way of learning. As a consequence of such a learning, a health scenario becomes possible for the users, for the trainees and for the supervisor. These minor practices, vital for bodies at the limit of their exhaustion, state different temporalities and existential territories that go against the everyday bruising present in institutions in times of uncertainties and unacceptable setbacks.

This theoretical essay intends to list some questions about the possible Spinoza’s contributions to the understanding of the modes of subjectivation and, consequently, to the clinical practices of Psychology today. Initially, in line with scholars and commentators, the actuality of Spinoza’s work will be placed even nearly four centuries after his death. In explaining the main concepts of the author, it also proposes to draw an introductory panorama, to those interested in a first contact with this work. Due to the innovative and transformative character of his work, it is necessary to explain the set of concepts, since one concept promotes a change in another and so on. In this course, we will highlight the concept of the multitude, which resizes the importance of collective formations of desire, to indicate the ethical and political revolution wrought by its philosophy. With this movement we then come to the heart of his work with the concepts of affection and body, closely related. Finally, we will make a brief reflection on some forms of suffering present in the contemporary, pointing out the particularities of certain aspects of psychology, based on dualisms, to propose intervention strategies guided by Spinozist inspiration.

Post-modernity, narrative turn, constructivist and constructionist paradigms have opened various perspectives for the psychotherapeutic intervention. This study will highlight the theoretical knowledge that reinforces the Narrative Practice produced by David Epston and Michael White, with emphasis on the contribution of Michael White, an author who plans narrative co-construction between therapist and person in therapy. The Narrative Pratice is characterized for desconstruction of the saturated story, the narrative reconstruction and self reautoring through favorite stories basing on the experience of the person in therapy. The survey objective was to recognize, integrate and organize the diverse information dispersed throughout the Narrative Practice literature. It was performed a literature review emphasizing postmodernity characterization and Michael White’s dialogue with Bruner, Bateson, Foucault, Vygotsky, and Derrida. The method used was the bibliographic survey of books, articles, dissertations, and theses. The theoretical study may favor the therapist to create contexts conducive to change, which may contribute to the psychotherapeutic process.

The purpose of this article is to explore the self meaning-making in people who underwent bariatric surgery to reduce their weight. Guided by the narrative approach, we apply the concept of position to understand the meaning-making process about the self. Two adults who underwent bariatric surgery at a hospital in the Metropolitan Region of Recife are part of the study. Narrative interviews were used as a technique and positioning analysis was the analytical strategy employed. We suggest the research participants position themselves as obese people who are socially constrained, who feel inadequate about how they look, who cannot dance, who cannot wear certain clothes; (2) thereby they reaffirme the dominant narrative of the slim contour as “the norm”; (3) for the research participants, the bariatric surgery served as a tool of empowerment that promotes a transformation in their sense of self from being at the margins to feeling a sense of social belonging and personal acceptance.

This article aims to discuss an experience narrative that occurred in a unit of a Federal Educational Institute, located at Rio de Janeiro state, in which was proposed an activity based on the Christophe Dejours psychodynamic theory of work. The activity was proposed to nine workers with different careers, employment bonds and professions. Besides, it was accomplished in seven meetings, lasting two months. The idea of this activity was based on the concerns detected, mainly related to moral harassment, during social work and psycological care. The activities were elaborated along with the participants, inspired by Christophe Dejours´s theory of work, Vincent de Gaulejac´s concerns about the insertion of managerialist ideology, mainly on the public services since 1995, and the changes related to work relations since the 1970’s. The data produced on the activities was analised using the content analisys method proposed by Bardin.
