Development of community-based waste recycling (garbage bank and 3R waste treatment facility) for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in Padang City, Indonesia 在印度尼西亚巴东市发展以社区为基础的废物回收(垃圾银行和3R废物处理设施),以减少温室气体排放

Observations and interviews on current municipal solid waste management (MSWM) in Padang City show the conventional operation of mixed collection, transportation and dumping to Air Dingin Landfill with limited recycling activities. Simulations result shows that practices of current local MSWM would release greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions of 123.54 Gg CO2eq in 2035 after 50 years operation of the landfill. This paper focuses on developing scenarios of community-based recycling system for mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in Padang City. Observations and interviews to MSWM facilities and stakeholders were carried out to understand current condition of the local MSWM. 3 scenarios of improved recycling system were proposed based on the real condition and achievement of the current MSWM practice. Current MSWM practice and 3 improvement scenarios were simulated for the next 20 years (2016–2035) to understand the impact to global warming. GHG inventories of waste treatment activities before landfill and at landfill site was carried out using life cycle assessment (LCA). Meanwhile, methane emission from solid waste decomposition at landfill cells was simulated using Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) software. As a result, current MSWM practice shows recycling achievement of only 1.494% of the total waste generation in 2035. Scenario #3 suggests to increase the number of garbage bank, community waste treatment facility (TPS 3R), integrated waste treatment facility (TPST) and to install landfill gas recovery. This improvement results in the higher recycling achievement of 33.66 % and lower GHG emissions of around 96.594 Gg CO2eq compared to that of the current MSWM practice in 2035. While, the application of landfill gas recovery would further decrease the GHG emissions to 52.972 Gg CO2eq. Scenario #3 may be applied for Padang City.

The mediating role of innovative work behavior on the relationship between knowledge sharing behavior and innovation capability in Thailand private university 泰国私立大学创新工作行为对知识共享行为与创新能力关系的中介作用

Amongst today turbulent business environment, innovation is considered as a main source of an organization competitive advantage. In higher education environment, especially in the private university, innovation has also received considerable concern as a major contributor in securing sustainable competitive edge in the marketplace. As a result, a number of factors have been introduced to enhance the organizational innovation capability. This research aims to examine the relationship between employees' knowledge sharing behavior, innovative work behavior and organizational innovation capability. The research surveyed a sample of 367 private university staffs in Thailand. Structural equation modeling was used to test the measurement model and path analysis was used to examine the comparative strength of direct and indirect relationships among variables. The analytical results revealed that knowledge sharing behavior showed a positive link to both innovation capability and innovative work behavior. In addition, innovative work behavior was found to be a partial mediator of the relationship between knowledge sharing behavior and innovation capability. This study provides some useful information for university administrators, and highlights management issues involving knowledge sharing behavior and understanding the influence of innovative work behavior on organizational innovation capability.

Design and estimation of state-charging applied for lithium-ion battery based on Matlab-Simulink 基于Matlab-Simulink的锂离子电池状态充电设计与评估

For green technology applications, the lithium-ion battery is widely adopted as energy storage system due to high power and high energy density. However, there is a drawback on the storage system on charging interval time, particularly on electric vehicle applications. To accelerate, the multi-state current technique becomes a solution. In this paper, the state-charging of the lithium ion battery modeled by Matlab/Simulink is discussed. The state-of-charge (SOC) is measured and applied to evaluate the battery's charge/discharge characteristic. The multiple charging states applied for filling the battery capacity are evaluated in order to achieve high efficiency. In addition, the configurable three-state current design manipulated by a 8-bit microcontroller is introduced with a constant voltage at 20V and variable current from 5A to 60A. The investigation results are illustrated that, operating on Lithium-ion Ferro battery 12V 30Ah, the interval time of fill-up is reduced approximately 30% with working temperature 35° C.

The design of smart dog cage system 智能狗笼系统的设计

The system designed in this paper is a smart cage system, which use to take care a dog when owner lack of time. Smart dog cage has assisted to dog owner to make their life easier and less concern about their dogs when they far away. In addition, This system has been developed for use in an animal hospital. Care for patients as well. Smart cage system consist of a automatic cleaning excrement and urine which use image processing, a automatic feeding, a dog monitoring. All of module process by a computer. Our system use a IOS mobile application which connected to the server for setting a parameter controlling a cage and monitoring a dog through a internet network.

Survey of analysis of user behavior in online social network 在线社交网络用户行为分析调查

Online social networking is growing fast with a full range of service that is available for massive number of users to share opinions and interests, express emotions and keep in touch with friends. The community is becoming increasing connected to each other. Many online sites provide a number of ways to access the site using devices such as computers and smart phones. Thus, users can use their sites quickly and easily, anytime and anywhere. This survey focused on the process of classifying online social network users and reviews various methods to analyze user behavior in online social networks.

Training curriculum development to enhance the system thinking ability of undergraduate students 训练课程开发,增强大学生的系统思维能力

The objective of this study comprised of two aspects: (1) developing the training curriculum to enhance the system thinking ability of undergraduate students, and (2) finding out its effectiveness due to the curriculum implementation with undergraduate students. The samples were 20 voluntary of Ramkhamhaeng university undergraduate students. The process of curriculum development employed Taba's and applied it in to five steps. Data collection was derived by the curriculum experimenting to develop all of the five dimensions: Carefulness, Reading ability, Reasoning ability, Learning inquiry, and Moral reasoning. Thorough activities were planned within the scope of the development curriculum for 13 hours. Follow by one group pretest-posttest design to measure all five dimensions test and ability to system thinking measurement test [1]. The findings revealed that the developed curriculum based on the conceptual framework could develop higher system thinking ability. The Comparison showed that the voluntary group were superior to the control at the .05 level of significant. The voluntary group was satisfied with the activities at high level.

Short-term biochemical oxygen demand (BODst) estimation using an oxygen uptake rate measurement method 用摄氧量测量方法估算短期生化需氧量(BODst)

The objective of this research was to estimate short-term biochemical oxygen demand (BODst) using an oxygen uptake rate (OUR) measurement method. Activated sludge samples were taken from a return sludge pipe in an oxidation ditch at Maharaj Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. Sludge samples were filtered and aerated overnight in the preparing chamber until reaching the endogenous respiration phase, which provided the initial sludge concentration of 5,489 mg/L. Sludge sample concentrations were diluted to 880, 2,160, and 5,297 mg/L. Sodium acetate of 20 mg/mL (13 mg COD/mL) was used as a readily biodegradable COD substrate (rbCOD) and dosed to the sludge sample. Final COD concentration was varied into 4 dilutions; 7.21, 14.40, 28.71 and 57.70 mg/L. Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) were controlled throughout the experiment at 28±0.5 °C, 7.8±0.1 and 6–7 mg/L, respectively. DO and OUR values were collected using an ultimate hybrid respirometer, which was developed by Saensing and Kanchanatawee [1]. The results showed that the linear relationship between BODst and COD substrate in all sludge dilutions were high and similar (R2 = 0.9891−0.9957). The area under the OUR curve can be used to easily estimate the BODst and linearly related with biodegradable organic substances. Average R2 throughout the experiment was 0.9940. The results were consistent with the studies of Gernaey et al. [2], Saensing and Kanchanatawee [1] and Premanoch [3] which had average R2 values of 0.9990, 0.9952 and 0.9964, respectively. Estimation of BODst from an OUR respirogram can provide rapid results and also give a linear relationship for the amount of organic matter concentration. It was apparent that the OUR measurement method using an ultimate hybrid respirometer was effective for determination of BODst with less chemical and time consumption.

Activated sludge samples were taken from a return sludge pipe in an oxidation ditch at Maharaj Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. Sludge samples were filtered and aerated overnight in the preparing chamber until reaching the endogenous respiration phase, which provided the initial sludge concentration of 5,489 mg/L. Sludge sample concentrations were diluted to 880, 2,160, and 5,297 mg/L. Sodium acetate of 20 mg/mL (13 mg COD/mL) was used as a readily biodegradable COD substrate (rbCOD) and dosed to the sludge sample. Final COD concentration was varied into 4 dilutions; 7.21, 14.40, 28.71 and 57.70 mg/L. Temperature, pH and dissolved oxygen (DO) were controlled throughout the experiment at 28±0.5 °C, 7.8±0.1 and 6–7 mg/L, respectively. DO and OUR values were collected using an ultimate hybrid respirometer, which was developed by Saensing and Kanchanatawee [1]. The results showed that the linear relationship between BODst and COD substrate in all sludge dilutions were high and similar (R2 = 0.9891−0.9957). The area under the OUR curve can be used to easily estimate the BODst and linearly related with biodegradable organic substances. Average R2 throughout the experiment was 0.9940. The results were consistent with the studies of Gernaey et al. [2], Saensing and Kanchanatawee [1] and Premanoch [3] which had average R2 values of 0.9990, 0.9952 and 0.9964, respectively. Estimation of BODst from an OUR respirogram can provide rapid results and also give a linear relationship for the amount of organic matter concentration. The article focuses on the characteristics of modern teaching methods in foreign language teaching at the university. The forms and methods of education are specific means of educational activities and so they are the deciding factors of the effectiveness of the teaching. We tried a small survey among our students to compare the effectiveness of some methods and their popularity among students. We compared the popularity of face-to-face teaching to method of blended learning for full-time students and distance students.

Preparation and molecular weight controlled of liquid natural rubber using Mastication 用咀嚼法制备液体天然橡胶及其分子量控制

Natural rubber (NR) can be easily depolymerized because that contain unsaturated component (double bond). Mastication is breaking the rubber molecular chains through mechanical action and thermal in two roll mill. This attention is preparation depolymerized natural rubber, using mastication method with temperature-controlled two roll mill. The effect of temperature and time of mastication on degree of depolymerization were studied and characterized by Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC). It was found increasing temperature and time of mastication to the resulting decreased average molecular weight of NR.

Solving bird image overlapping for automatic population counts of birds using image processing 利用图像处理技术解决鸟类图像重叠问题,实现鸟类自动种群计数

The counting bird population for assessment of the abundance of ecosystem is very important. The problem is overlapped bird in images. This research is purposed to solve bird image overlapping for counting population of birds using image processing. There are 4 techniques of image processing. Firstly, noisy dot and background are removed in bird image using multilevel thresholding. Secondly, the Region growing finds size of the bird by finding area value for segment of the image. Thirdly, the distance transform finds distance between images for segment of object. Finally, the erosion technique is used for object reduction which relationship of pixels in 4 directions. The experimental results have high precision as 0.96 and accuracy as 0.89 as recall 0.92 with different 6 images. The benefit of this research increases the performance of counting bird population which is one of the factors to discover an abundance of ecosystem.
