Purpose of research is to describe the features of the functioning of phraseological phrases in media texts containing a gender-marked component and belonging to a group of psychological characteristics, in order to accumulate data on the specifics of operating with phraseological meaning and its development in the speech of modern native speakers of the Russian language.Methods. To achieve this goal, the methods of observation of linguistic material, continuous sampling, lexico-graphic, lexico-semantic and contextual analysis, classification, and systematization of data were used. Results of the analysis indicate that the phraseological resources of the language are more often used by the authors of media texts to nominate and positively evaluate the volitional qualities of men and women, as well as scholarship and high moral qualities of men; phraseological designations of indecision and unpreparedness for the practical life of women and lack of independence and greed of men bear a negative connotation. At the same time, the perception of the stereotype of bravery and dedication of a Russian woman as a positive necessary quality is changing: entering burning huts is no longer tempting.Conclusion. The popularity of the most frequent phraseology "iron lady" is due to its media etymology and interest in the person of Margaret Thatcher, whose style of behavior gives rise to associations among the authors of media texts with modern women politicians and prominent representatives of other fields of activity. The trends in the functioning of the units of the analyzed group in the media language include the actualization of the meanings of individual components of phraseological turnover, the structural and meaningful transformation of combinations, the development of meanings up to the antonymous, the creation of a language game and anecdote. Examples of changes in the gender attribution of phraseology are noted.

The relevance of the study lies in the fact that Internet discourse plays an important guiding role in the functioning of modern society as a cognitive system; At the same time, the audience of bloggers reaches a significant number of people. Recently, the activities of Internet authors who promote their goods and services have become a serious problem for society. Bloggers promote their information products (courses, marathons, guides, checklists), the effectiveness of which is almost impossible to measure. The demand for information products is explained by the audience’s desire to change their lives for the better without taking any real action. The purpose of the study is to identify what linguocognitive mechanisms of influence are used by the author of marathons, Elena Blinovskaya, to create her promoting discourse on the Internet. Empirical research material – 150 blogger posts on social networks. The object is the Internet environment, the subject is linguocognitive mechanisms and their use by the Internet author to optimize promoting discourse. Research methods: content analysis, with the help of which fragments of discourse that contain linguocognitive mechanisms were identified and counted; linguocognitive analysis, which made it possible to clarify the content of cognitive language experience by establishing the relationship between knowledge and the method of its presentation. The results of the study suggest that one of the most popular bloggers actively uses linguocognitive mechanisms of influence. The found fragments of discourse contain linguistic tools of influence that manifest themselves at all levels of language (lexical, phonetic, syntactic, graphic). As a result of the study, cognitive mechanisms were also found: appeals to different levels of authority; the use of pseudo-statistics, affirmations, storytelling and many other mechanisms. It was concluded that the blogger’s promoting discourse has signs of magical thinking, as evidenced by the blogger’s dialogues with the Universe; hypersemiotization; emphasizing the importance of beautiful dates. The research perspective is to pay attention to the non-verbal suggestive mechanisms of influence that Internet authors use when creating their promoting discourse.

Summary. The article examines the theoretical and technological aspects of the linguistic and cultural approach to teaching pedagogical students studying Chinese. The purpose of this article is to describe a strategy for studying the topic of Chinese gastronomic culture in practical classes, the features of its influence on the Chinese language from the perspective of linguistic and regional studies. The authors explain the difficulties of learning the Chinese language, list the main problems that students have in the lexico-grammatical, phonemic and cultural terms of mastering the Chinese language. Particular attention is paid to the linguistic and cultural aspect of language acquisition. Modern linguistics considers language not just as a means of communication, but also as a “cultural code of a nation.” By studying a foreign language, the student also studies the culture of the people speaking this language, mastering not only the word, but also a typified image in the national consciousness of the people - the bearer of the language and culture.During the research process general scientific methods of cognition (analysis, synthesis, generalization) were used. A selection, analysis and synthesis of theoretical and practical publications on the technological aspects of the linguistic and regional approach to teaching a foreign language was carried out.The article presents the organization of students' mastery of cultural content within the framework of studying the topic of Chinese gastronomic culture in language practice classes. The authors emphasize that for the linguistic and professional training of a future bachelor it is very important to build the process of teaching Chinese correctly from a linguistic and methodological position. In the linguistic aspect, students’ awareness and mastery of realities, skills in operating these units and non-verbal means of communication in the process of foreign language interaction when organizing a dialogue of cultures is significant. In methodological terms, a carefully constructed teaching strategy is required, embedded in the aspect of a linguistic and cultural approach for a better understanding of the mentality, way of life of the Chinese people, their culture and history. In conclusion it is noted that the thematic content has been determined, the existing teaching experience on this issue has been systematized, and the main types of tasks in teaching the Chinese language to students in the linguistic and cultural aspect have been identified.

The presented study of the image of the color designation white in the minds of the representatives of modern Russian culture is a continuation of the cycle of studies of the images of the main Russian color terms from the point of view of the psycholinguistic doctrine of the word by A.A. Zalevskaya. The hypothesis of the study was the assumption that there are both individual and cultural components which influence the formation of the image of any phenomenon in the minds of the average bearer of a particular culture. The main methods used in the experimental research were free associative experiment and semantic differential. Factor and definitional analyzes were used to process the results. The material for the study was the associations obtained during free associative experiments in 2009 and 2020 as well as the results of an experiment using a semantic differential among students of Southwest State University. In order to identify a possible transformation of the image of white, the data of the Russian comparative associative dictionary by G.A. Cherkasova were analyzed. The work shows the current structure of the associative field of the Russian color term white. It also analyzes the change in the structure of the described associative field during the period since the 1970s until now. In addition, the main gender characteristics of the perception of the color white are shown, typically female and male associations in the structure of the considered AP are highlighted. The research methodology presented in the work can be successfully used in organizing various psycholinguistic and linguocultural studies. The results of the empirical research can find application not only in various branches of linguistics but also in psychology, neurophysiology, marketing and advertising.

The complex nature of historical and cultural heritage and the need for economic development contributed to the increasing role of the English language and predetermined the complex nature of multilingualism in modern Afghanistan. The English language in Afghanistan does not have an official status, but plays a significant role in the life of society of all strata. The research work presents an analysis of such a linguistic phenomenon as code switching, which means the need to switch from one language to another in the context of languages’ interaction. The aim of the study is to analyze the role and status of the English language in the higher educational environment and to identify the specifics of the interaction of the English language and the indigenous languages of Afghanistan, Pashto and Dari, in the learning process. The research work was carried out in line with sociolinguistics, which implies the analysis of linguistic phenomena depending on social groups. The work is based on a comprehensive research methodology, including the achievement of results using general scientific and private linguistic methods. The methods being used are the analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction; the triangulation method was used to assess the reliability of the work, the method of sociolinguistic commentary is used as the basis to identify the specifics of code switching in a complex linguistic and socio-cultural situation in Afghanistan. The work also used the method of case study, which includes a structured analysis of interviews with communicants followed by a description of certain phenomena and the method of quantitative analysis to calculate the productivity of these phenomena. Such a method as an interview was used by us to obtain the data collection of participants. As a result of the research work, it was found that the process of switching codes is used by teachers to easily assimilate information, explain complex material, and create a favorable atmosphere.
