The dilemma of paywalls* is a worldwide debate. In fact, implementing a paywall can make the website and hence the media very prosperous. But also implementing a paywall could affect the way and the means that connect you to your audience. Therefore, once putting in a gateway, management and decision makers should make sure they absolutely trust the impact the paywall will have on their operations, as the stakes at play are even more dangerous than they might realize. Experts advise that there are three conditions that a media institution must meet before adding a paywall. Lebanon’s media has its own specificity in this regard, and we herein describe the obstacles to the success of any paywall on media institutions in Lebanon.

Emergencies have brought uncertain factors to the offline curriculum teaching in colleges and universities, which has put forward higher requirements for the quality of curriculum teaching in colleges and universities. The reasonable design of normalized emergency response plan to solve the above problems has become the focus of current teaching research. In view of the problems existing in the current education and teaching, and considering the needs of talent training in colleges and universities and the needs of social practical talents, this paper proposes a hybrid active teaching mode curriculum teaching method. The purpose of this paper is to provide a certain method support for the construction of higher education and teaching theory system.

Studies on utility model patents have shown this as an alternative for rapid patent protection that contributes to promoting the country's economic development. Therefore, this research aims to propose a study of the utility model patent in the national patent system, aiming to know if this type of protection has served the purpose of innovative and technological evolution verified in countries with developing economies similar to Brazil. Regarding the methodology, this study is characterized by a quantitative exploratory study that was divided into two phases. The first phase was a bibliographic research related to utility model and the second phase was the analysis of applications for patents of invention and utility model. The results show that there is a greater amount of invention patent filings than utility model patent filings between 2000 and 2019. Also, it was noted that there is a significant decrease in the share of the utility model in the total of analyzed filings, as well as the PI deferral rate is higher than that of the MU in most of the cataloged years. As for the literature and jurisprudence analyzed, it was noticed that the inventive level required for the utility model patent is of lower intensity than that required for invention patents. Therefore, an accurate and objective definition of the inventive act requirement is suggested, in order to distinguish it precisely from the inventive step requirement, in order to speed up the analysis process and increase the demand for utility model patent filings.

In recent decades, technological advances and increased urbanization have instigated remarkable growth in the construction industry, and consequently an increase in environmental impacts both in obtaining raw materials and in the disposal of construction waste. Some studies are being carried out in Brazil for the application of natural fibers as a reinforcing element to produce concrete. According to these facts, the focus of this work is to comparatively evaluate the mechanical strength of commercial concrete with concrete produced with piaçava fiber sludge. Attalea funifera Martius, commonly known as piaçavas, is a solitary, thornless, erect, caulescent palm from the Aracaceae family. It reaches an average height of 8 to 15 meters with a stem diameter of 20 to 25 cm, having 8 to 10 leaves, each 9 meters long. Ten specimens were produced to carry out compression tests. Water, common Portland cement (CP I), sand, gravel and piassava obtained in the municipality of Barcelos-AM were used in the preparation. After curing the specimens, compression tests were carried out until the specimens ruptured. We also observed that the most resistant specimens were those produced with the addition of crushed stone, since the resistance of the specimen with crushed stone was approximately 22 MPa against 19 MPa of piaçava concrete. The main conclusions verified is that with the use of piaçava in the concrete mixture there is a drop in mechanical resistance, despite being a material that presents resistance to cracks, it does not have the same capacity as concrete with gravel as a coarse aggregate.

This research presents a bibliometric study of scientific productions involving the themes of innovation, networks and emerging jobs in the English language, available in the Web of Science’s database, dating from 1945 to 2020. Seeking to clarify some findings, in the statistical study of Web of Science’s publications, this research demonstrates the orientation of the reasoning of the investigated authors, regarding innovation policies. Of the 49 publications found in a previous screening, we obtained the number of 44 publications in English, which were submitted to statistical, Reinert and Similitude analyses, using the IRAMUTEQ software. During the research, it was possible to notice that this group of words presented a relation in the context of the texts available in the base; that is: the tool presented, statistically, four groups of words with greater relevance, connecting the three themes. In the analysis, IRAMUTEQ presented a division in four clusters (using Reinert’s method) that list the groups of words by their relation of higher incidence and correlation during the study (development, literature, information and form). According to this mapping, it is possible to conclude that the correlation of themes refers to a group of researchers who, in their discourses, connect technological and economic development to relations in an innovation network, and that 50% of the published texts dealt with issues involving the four largest groups of words: development, network, innovation and business.

In search of better comfort and productivity, man has sought information, since antiquity, about civil construction, because, as society has become more complex, knowledge about construction has become an essential skill for human beings. In this context, the present work aims to present a simplified theoretical review on pathologies caused by humidity, and added to these characteristics, to approach ways for possible solutions, seeking to remedy the different problems caused. The present study was written through a bibliographic review on the different problems caused by pathologies caused by humidity, with a focus on solutions. For this, research was carried out on the subject, through a survey of theoretical sources (journals, scientific articles, books, theses, among others) and a theoretical framework that underlies the history of civil construction and the different characteristics acquired over the years. time. Humidity is a pathology that causes some problems in construction and mainly impacts the financial management of the project, as the final value of the work can undergo major changes until the final solution of the problem. Humidity can cause fissures and cracks, compromising part of the construction structure, in addition to other problems that affect aesthetics, such as mold, efflorescence, mildew, blisters in the paint, loss of plaster and rust. As the main causes identified for the appearance of this pathology, we can mention the lack of prevention, since the lack of waterproofing products compromises the quality of the work, causing infiltrations. The lack of ventilation and high humidity in the environment must also be observed, as they generate moisture by condensation resulting in problems such as stains and mold on ceilings and walls. The hydraulic installation is also considered, since it is important that this system has the correct and necessary sealing to avoid contact of water with the structure.

As the modern world hangs on a string of utter moral collapse, several writers unleash moral restraints, thus bringing immorality to the market square to consumers who seem to yearn for the collapse of moral walls in their world. Hearkening to such cravings, Mark Ravenhill’s provocative title and play, Shopping and Fucking (1996), and Sarah Kane’s flaming play, Blasted (1995), present morally bankrupt characters clothed in the garments of modern humanity. Glued to wild and recurrent sexual habits, suggesting, as it were, the unceasing erosion of human dignity, these characters cling, with menacing sternness, to sex at all times and in all lieu. Like burning candles that consume their own heights, chronic sexual drives and activities in the works of the foregoing playwrights depict our world and diminish the statue of humanity. Set in an economically dejected and drug-redden East End of London, Shopping and F****ing serves as a canopy under which sits rancorous, impulsive, and rampant sex and drugs with the attendant loss they create. In a similar vein, Sarah Kane’s Blasted, set in a war-torn city, which duplicate the ruins of our societies, depicts depraved characters who have sex at whim and with impunity.

In a similar vein, Sarah Kane’s Blasted, set in a war-torn city, which duplicate the ruins of our societies, depicts depraved characters who have sex at whim and with impunity.","PeriodicalId":13726,"journal":{"name":"International journal for innovation education and research","volume":"8 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86452583","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Handicrafts have historically always been practiced in Paraná Coast, Brazil, being a source of income for dozens of families, however this scenario has undergone profound changes with the pandemic of the New Coronavirus (COVID-19), but no studies were found that could reveal the changes caused among artisans as a result of the pandemic. Thus, descriptive exploratory research was carried out with 35 artisans residing on the Coast of Paraná. Women were the majority among the investigated group (65.7%) with an average age of 54 years old. The study revealed that in the perception of the interviewees it is possible to notice the recovery of the impacts caused by the pandemic on the family budget, with the increase in the income obtained from the sale of handicrafts, however in the opinion of the majority of the interviewees (68.57%) the recovery could have been accelerated if there were public policies for easy access to artisans. The study revealed that in Paraná Coast, after the pandemic of the New Coronavirus, there was a reduction in jobs and regional income, and it consequently affected family income and that, in the face of so many deaths, the class of widowed, black or brown women emerged in the investigated sample. The lives of these women are marked by precariousness and they feel more strongly the impacts of segregation due to the need to provide for all family needs by themselves.
