Induction motors are the starting point to design an electrical drive system which is widely used in ma ny industrial applications. In recently various speed control technique are used. But the direct torque control (DTC) scheme being one of the most recent steps in this direction. This scheme provides excellent properties of regulation without rotational speed feedback. In this control scheme the electromagnetic torque and stator flux magnitude are estimated with only stator voltages and currents and this estimation does not depend on motor parameters except for the stator resistance. Literature review has been done to study the recent improvements in DTC scheme especially in low speed range operation to improved flux estimation and reduce the torque ripple problem. The conventional direct torque controlled scheme used voltage model for flux estima tion but this model estimate inaccurate flux at lower speed. So due to inaccurate flux estimation DTC drive give poor performance by distortion of stator current and torque ripple. So here I have present another model for flux estimation which gives best DTC drive performance at lower speed. KeywordsIntroduction, Direct torque control, Stator flux estimation, Simulation Results

Resistance spot welding is the most popular joining process in an automobile body assembly production lines. Today's automobiles typically contains approximately five thousand or more spot weld. Current spot welding technology relies on volume on empirical data's to set the working parameters. Often this data is no sufficient to ensure that a nugget of sufficient size is formed thus quality and strength depends on the optimum welding diameter of welding nugget. There are various parameters affecting the nugget size in RSW. In this paper the effect of weld time and weld current is studied on CRCA material by experiments and also by using the FEA model.

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a space- based satellite navigation system that provides location and time information in all weather conditions, anywhere on or near the Earth where there is an unobstructed line of sight to four or more GPS satellites. GPS (Global Positioning System) is the one of the most pre-dominantly used in most parts of the world In the past, the implementation of a complete GPS receiver was divided into two parts. The first part is implemented on ASIC or FPGA. This part includes the acquisition and tracking phases, where the algorithms of the both are written by the HDL programming language. The second part is the navigation solution part that is implemented on DSP by writing its algorithm by C/C++, FORTRAN, or assembly. This means that we have to deal with three environments to implement a complete GPS receiver. The three environments are the Simulation, FPGA, and DSP environments. Moreover, using a text programming languages in writing such long and complicated algorithms makes the process difficult to debug, modify. Simulink was used in the implementation of such receiver; there by introducing a new look for the technology that can be implemented through a graphical user interface environment. This makes every part in the receiver architecture very clear and easier to understand, follow, modify and debug. This can be considered a step added on the route of an open source GPS receiver. Using the same environment in both the simulation and implementation stages makes the designer's mind dedicated most of the time in developing and enhancing the algorithm through rapid prototyping and experimentation and less time on the coding. In general, this article can be considered as introducing a new look for designing, simulating, and implementing the typical GPS receiver using a graphical programming language, which is SIMULINK.

There are different approaches and also materials to construct a detector for x-rays. the available semiconductor materials, Silicon (Si) is mainly used for charged particle detectors and soft X-ray detectors. Cadmium Telluride (CdTe) compound semiconductors for x-ray detectors have experienced a rather rapid development in the last few years, due to their appealing performance. In this paper we review the physical properties of semiconductor detectors for x-ray. In particular, we focus on compound semiconductor detectors. In addition, Si detector has better energy resolution achievement. However, it does not have good detection efficiency for higher energy above (40Kev). While CdTe detector supplies higher detection efficiency for x -rays about 100% for up to 100 keV in energy. The response functions of Si detector to reduce small x-ray, which has limited sensitivity for energy about 30keV. The XR-100T is high performance for x-ray and gamma ray detector by using 241Am (59.5keV), so the cooler are mounted the input FET a feedback components to the Amptek to charge sensitive preamplifier. Both the Si and CdTe detectors are connected to the PX2 combined amplifier and power supply, that was provide the voltage needed to operate XR-100T CdTe. The PX2 T CdTe amplifier has a Rise Time Discrimination circuit, measure the FWHM energy resolution of 55Fe (5.89) the peak in each spectrum hence a graph of energy resolution. Moreover, the Rise Time Discrimination So the escape peak of 55Fe was determined with Si detector was 11.66 keV, also k- sell x-ray energy was calculated to 5.77keV and the Rise Time Discrimination effect was studied on the spectrum when is it switched on and off. Its influence was found in decreasing the noise of the spectrum.
