Antifungal efficiency of amla leaves against Alternaria alternata and Bipolaris spicifera 阿木拉叶片对交替交替孢霉和双极孢霉的抗真菌功效

In the present study, have been investigated for antifungal potential against two phytopathogens namely and . Inhibitory potential of methanolic extract of the plant was analyzed by poisoned food technique in which different concentrations of test material were prepared in sterilized potato dextrose agar. Results of the investigation revealed that has potential activity against both the test pathogens with IC value of 1±0.02 mg/mL and 0.95±0.019 mg/mL against and respectively. To conclude, leaves of amla possess potential antifungal activity and may be used as a resource of biocides in pesticide and food industry.

Review on dietary supplement in domestic market 国内市场膳食补充剂回顾

In day today life where the quality of organic foods is being detoriated on that particular point people started taking the extra protein or vitamin or minerals as same. The product taken orally that contains some dietary ingredient projected to supply the body need. There are more than 29000 dietary supplement products available in Indian market. People affected with some long-lasting disease like Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic kidney disease are being Prescribed to use Dietary Supplement along with their medication. Patients are unable to fulfil their nutritional foods through their regular diets, they are today identifying the importance of nutritional supplements to fulfil their nutritional gaps. Although these supplements are being good for patient’s health but sometimes it shows the adverse effect as well. So, on this general review we will get to know about the effectiveness and common usage of widely used dietary supplement.

Recent advances in anticancer drug discovery: A review 抗癌药物发现的最新进展:综述

Cancer is a process of uncontrolled cell proliferation that leads to the development of an abnormally growing tumor, determining initially a local disease that might spread, impairing other organs or important processes. One of the most fatal diseases in recent times, cancer kills many lives each year. The effective management of this condition has been impacted by the variances in the disease across the globe, the impact of the medical facilities that are available, and other socioeconomic issues. The aim of this study was to summaries previously published articles regarding recent advances in anticancer drug discoveries. In this review, previously published literature regarding recent advances in anticancer drug discovery collected from journals through PubMed Central, Google Scholar, and Science Direct from March 20 to May 12 was identified well, and points that I assumed were important and recent (2017–2023) were included.Based on my searches, numerous discoveries are identified and grouped as anticancer drug targets, plant derived advances, chemical compounds with in vivo or in vitro cytotoxic drug discovery, and repurposing advances. Based on a variety of articles published by scholars, this review summarizes some recent advancements in anticancer drug discovery. Under this broad topic, promising and clinically evidenced drug targets for anticancer drug binding, some drugs repurposed for cancer treatment, plant-derived advances in cancer therapy, and finally advances in novel chemical compounds in the area of cancer therapy are reviewed.

Development and characterization of topical gel containing deep eutectic mixture of luliconazole for topical drug delivery system 用于局部给药系统的含卢立康唑深共晶混合物局部凝胶的开发和表征

Tinea infections are one of the most occurring dermatophyte infection in the world and more so in tropical countries. It majorly infect children which may lead to them being segregated and shunned away from the community thereby affecting their psychological state. To prepare topical gel containing deep eutectic mixture of luliconazole heating and dispersion method were utilised, and it comprised several steps. The main focus was to improve the solubility as well as the permeability of the drug as it comes into contact with the skin. Choline bitartrate was used as a hydrogen bond donor (HBD), Gallic acid which is a carboxylic acid was used as a hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA), Carbopol 984NF a carbomer was used as a gelling agent. A combination of choline bitartrate and gallic acid in the ratio expressed by formulation code N3 was used for the final preparation. The final properties of the gel; viscosity, spreadability and the drug release profile of the prepared gel were investigated. The drug release of the prepared formulation was compared to the marketed formulation. 4 formulations were prepared using different ratios of the excipients and the optimized formulations were subjected to characterization. Viscosity of the tablet was controlled by amount of gelling agent used in the manufacturing process. Following FTIR studies, it was found that there were no interaction between the drug and the excipients and that the drug release depended on the type of the excipients used in the formulation. Dispersion method was found to be a suitable, easy and efficient technique for designing Topical gel containing deep eutectic mixture (DEM) for topical use.

To prepare fast dissolving tablet of Irbesartan an Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB), direct compression method was utilised, and it comprised several steps. The main focus was to improve the disintergation time as well as the dissolution rate of the drug as it comes into contact with water. Lactose and Microcrystalline sodium (MCC) were used as diluents and fillers, Aspartame and Magnesium Stearate were used as lubricants, Crospovidone, Croscarmellose sodium (CCS), Sodium Starch Glycolate (SSG) were used as superdisintergrants as they increase the hydraulic pressure when the come into contact with water. The post compression properties of the tablet; disintergration time, wetting time and the drug release profile of the prepared table were investigated. The drug release of the prepared formulation was compared to the marketed formulation. 5 formulations were prepared using different ratios of the excipients and the optimized formulations were subjected to characterization. Hardness of the tablet was controlled by compression during the manufacturing process. Following FTIR studies, it was found that there were no interaction between the drug and the excipients and that the drug release depended on the type of the excipients used in the formulation. Direct compression was found to be a suitable, easy and efficient technique for designing fast dissolving tablet (FDT) for oral use.

Treatment with antibiotics became so common that people start using these drugs even for the little of ailment resulting in misuse of antibiotics. This leads to decrease in susceptibility of microorganisms to the present antibiotics or antimicrobial agents. Currently, in addition to antibiotics and chemically synthesized drugs, the trend to look out for alternative medicines such as natural or herbal medicines is increasing because of fewer side effects or toxicity owing to their natural sources. Therefore, the need for novel / more effective antimicrobial drugs, is an absolute necessity and remains a very important area of research against pathogens. In the present study, antifungal and antibacterial effect of leaves has been evaluated against three fungal and five bacterial strains via methanolic extract. showed moderate growth inhibition against the fungal strain The methanolic extract of the leaves of the plantalsoshowed average activity against the three bacterial strains viz., and .

Knowledge, attitude and practice of self-administered insulin by diabetes mellitus patients: A cross sectional study 糖尿病患者对自我管理胰岛素的认识、态度和实践:横断面研究

Diabetes mellitus is a heterogeneous clinical syndrome secondary to defects in insulin secretion, action, or both. India is emerging as the world's diabetic capital. Inadequate awareness about the use of insulin is likely to influence its acceptance and adherence. To assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of self-administered insulin by patients of diabetes mellitus. It was a cross-sectional study conducted by the department of pharmacology at a tertiary care teaching hospital over a period of six months at the medicine outpatient department. A prevalidated questionnaire was used to assess the KAP of insulin use. Informed consent was obtained from the patients prior to giving them a questionnaire. Among the 151 responses, 58 were male and 93 were female. Among them, 66% knew about different types of insulin, and 32% knew about different insulin delivery devices. Around 40% of patients were not aware of HbA1c as a monitoring tool. Nearly 48% patients knew the complications of diabetes. Half of the patients were confident about the self-administration of insulin. About 54% patients took insulin for treatment. Among current insulin users, 75% injected insulin at the upper arm, 83% missed insulin doses, 74% had never used a glucometer, and 32% failed to rotate the site. Knowledge and attitude were good in the majority of patients, but practice regarding the use of insulin was poor. Skilled health care providers could educate diabetes mellitus patients on self-care management and insulin self-therapy and bridge this gap.

commonly referred to as the "tree of life" or the "miracle tree," holds wide spectrum of medicinal and non-medicinal benefits, and so it is valuable herbal plant. has been traditionally use for treating various disease conditions such as wounds, pain, ulcers, liver disease, heart disease, cancer, and inflammation. Pharmacological studies have substantiated the hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, and anti-inflammatory potential inherent in extracts derived from various parts of the plant. Notably, bioactive constituents have been identified in every part of the plant, with over one hundred compounds characterized to date. The plant is rich in alkaloids, flavonoids, anthraquinones, vitamins, glycosides, and terpenes, among other things. Furthermore, the discovery of novel chemicals in the plant, such as niazimin A&B and muramoside A&B, has revealed potent hepatoprotective, anticancer, antihypertensive, antioxidant, and nutritional qualities.This current review underscores the traditional and remarkable advantages of Moringa, delving into its pharmacological characteristics, phytopharmaceutical formulations, clinical examinations, toxicity profile, and various other applications. Additionally, it aims to shed light on the plant's commercial and phytopharmaceutical applications with the intention of fostering further research. Despite this comprehensive exploration, the review acknowledges that many conventional uses of Moringa still lack scientific investigation. Consequently, the study advocates for further research to unravel the plant's mechanistic pathways, aiming to pinpoint and isolate the active or synergistic compounds accountable for its medicinal properties.
