These days information technology has held a firm place in all aspects of human life and activity. These tendencies are leading to positive changes, such as the development of various fields, professional and personal growth of people. Likewise, information and communication technologies have already been able to find important place in education as well.On this occasion, there have been adopted several Presidential and higher education ministry decrees in our country. The introduction of Moodle Electronic Education System, the organization of online courses, the introduction of blended courses, the open-source (MOOC-Massive Open Online Course) courses in higher education institutions are examples of the development of digital technology in education. The possibility of students mobility in the internet, search and retrieval of information, to study at any place and time, and many other advantages make learning and teaching comfortable. Modern technology has specific goals such as facilitation of learning and teaching instructional and learning activities, making a learning process interesting, assessment, managing information, combining data, communicating, developing relationships between a teacher-learner and parents, and facilitating professional collaboration and professional development. The objective of this trend in education is not only to educate students and to increase students' computer literacy and information technology, but also to encourage independent and creative thinking and self-expression of learners.According to UNESCO and NMC Horizon Media Consortium report, digital literacy has become a integral part of education aiming to shape lifelong learning skills of students, which can assist them later to be employed and to continue education independently.

The problems of young people attract the scholars of different spheres, and literature in particular. Young people were depicted under the influence of psychological, social and economic situations. The 20th century literature pays more attention to the psychological aspects of young people’s development. In previous studies on young adults’ literature, different social aspects have been found to be related to the development of young people’s psyche. However, not enough attention has been paid to an individual as the part of the whole social strata. Early examples of research into young adults’ literature include Ya. N. Zasurskiy, A.S. Mulyarchik, T. Morozova. Only in the past 50 years of studies literature directly addressed the problem, on how an individual represents the whole society. The article investigates some essential youth problems at the turn of 20-21st centuries reflected in contemporary American literature. The article highlights some important research issues conducted in this field as well as the literary works which need to be studied. The issues like teenagers’ behavior at school, their relationships inside their families, community impact on teenagers’ world vision are reflected. In addition, the impacts of socially abandoned people, who united into groups and developed a subculture, on young people’s lives are shown.

The author of the article defines different approaches of traditional and cognitive stylistics to the notion of a stylistic device and classification of stylistic devices; from the position of traditional stylistics different classifications of stylistic devices introduced by I.A. Galperin, V.A. Kuharenko, Y. M. Screbnev, I. V. Arnold are presented. In addition, the problem of analysis of stylistic devices is considered from the position of cognitive linguistics which enables to present a stylistic device as a cognitive structure. From the cognitive perspective, two principles of classification of stylistic devices are analyzed: the principle of knowledge structures and the principle of conceptual integration.

Higher education plays an important role in developing communicative skills of ESP learners. ESP is oriented towards mastering the skills for professional communication. However, most of the students find themselves incompetent in the course of their work. The article discusses the benefits of using a project work to history students to improve their speaking skills as well as professional communication. The topicality of the article is determined by the fact that the projects proposed have not been actively introduced into curriculum designed for history students. The article is aimed at analyzing the problems the teachers face in teaching process. It proposes six methods for teachers as practical advice that can be used effectively to master students’ speaking skills at the end of the project. The results show that implementing project is very effective in improving speaking, critical thinking skills, creativity, and how to manage the time. The purpose of the article is to encourage ESP students to learn English through introducing new approaches to teaching. The author indicates that applying project work to language learning raises the academic achievement in which students explore the real world challenges.

The scientific research works concerning the field of mechanical engineering such as, manufacturing machine slate, soil tillage, sowing and harvesting based on the requirements for the implementation of agrotechnical measures for the cultivation of plants in its transportation, through the development of mastering new types of high-performance and energy-saving machines in manufacturing machine slate, creation of multifunctional machines, allowing simultaneous soil cultivation, by means of several planting operations, integration of agricultural machine designs are taken into account in manufacturing of the local universal tractor designed basing on high ergonomic indicators. For this reason, this article explores the use of case studies in teaching agricultural terminology by means analyzing the researches in machine building. Case study method was firstly used in 1870 in Harvard University of Law School in the United States. Also in the article, we give the examples of agricultural machine-building terms, teaching terminology and case methods, case study process and case studies method itself. The research works in the field of mechanical engineering and the use of case studies in teaching terminology have also been analyzed. In addition, the requirements for the development of case study tasks are given in their practical didactic nature. We also give case study models that allow us analyzing and evaluating students' activities.

The article is devoted to the scientific and theoretical analysis of the devices actualizing the content of the speech statements, since any speaker tries to fulfill his/her speech motions appropriately to the expected result. The practice of reaching a pragmatic effect in the communication, at the time of fulfilling the speech statements with special emphasis and precision, may have some specific nuances. In such process the speaker creates a speech statement delivering the information directly to the listener. This speech statement is neither lexical or grammatical phenomenon, but a pragmatic unit. Social role of interlocutors is of concern in choosing particular pragmatic-modal variant of the speech structure. The very process urges the following: 1) the characteristics of the person from birth (sex, nationality, nation); 2) social status; 3) position in a certain situation.

The article deals with the analysis of cultural linguistic phrases in the media text. Mass information plays an important role in the continuation of language operations. This is determined by the qualitative changes in the general linguistic culture, and not only by the changes that have occurred due to the introduction of new information technologies. One of the most important issues facing modern linguistics is the study of functional methods of speech, the definition of their language features, the disclosure of the functional features of language units in the style of speech and their division into language facts. It is well known that the phrase is a product of the second nomination, which directly reflects the national mentality and worldview of the nation. In other words, phrases are also one of the main sources for accepting and preserving national cultural information, because the reflection of phrases is part of the national norm. The cognitive tendency, which is part of linguistic research, not only uses cognitive abilities, but also realizes the cultural meaning of the formulated phrase. In the linguistic direction, phrases served as objects for several studies. Taking this into account, the author of the article gives examples of phrases in the media that are unique to culture.
