Security in control system is an important issue. To safety-related system it is more critical. A safety-security communication measure to counteract nature or intend data modification is proposed, which based on refining characters of data with MD5 approach. And to some low speed network a 2-refine approach is introduced which based on MD5 and CRC. A confidential communication to secure all the data is proposed, too. Furthermore, the key distribution approaches named KDC and DKD are introduced.

This paper presented a pan-tilt control system based on ARM11 and embedded system of Linux, introduced the hardware and software design of pan-tilt controller and how it specifically worked. It mainly included the design of circuit, the design of device drivers of embedded Linux system, and the communication protocol's implementation of the pan-tilt serial interface. The system integrated the pan-tilt rotation control, the camera parameters control, video and image processing, so it not only saved hardware cost, but also improved greatly the efficiency of the system and the Performance-to-Price Ratio of products.

The QoS based route optimization is a key issue of the wireless network, which is a NPC-hard multi-objective discrete optimization problem. In this paper, an efficient multi-objective artificial bee colony optimization algorithm based on Pareto dominance called MOABC is proposed to tackle this problem. The algorithm was evaluated on a set of different scale test problems and compared with GA based multi-objective optimization algorithm for this problem. The experimental results reveal very encouraging results in terms of the quality of solution and the processing time required.

An appropriate selection of kernel function and its parameters is very important for the relevance vector machine (RVM) to achieve a good performance. To overcome the limitation of RVM with single kernel, a multi-scale RVM classification method based on intelligent optimization is proposed. Multiple Gaussian kernels are combined by linear weighting and the kernel parameters are tuned by quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed method has higher classification accuracy than typical RVM classifiers with single kernel.

We propose a scheme of utilizing multilevel space-time signal-based turbo code (MST-SB-TC) for wireless communication systems with multiple antennas over very rapidly Rayleigh block fading channels where the fading coefficients changes independently for every transmitted signal. No channel state information (CSI) is available and even unitary space-time signals fail to operate. We give an effective method which applies MST-SB-TC as an alternative to the original multilevel space-time modulation and present an effective multilevel space-time (UST) signal-based BCJR-like maximum a posteriori (MAP) decoding algorithm, which makes full use of the channel characteristics when calculating the branch metrics. With iterative decoding and/or multiple receive antennas, it can further improve the system performance, which helps to give an acceptable bit error rate.

Low-rate wireless personal network (LR-WPAN) is an emerging networking technique that was obtained more and more attention for its power efficient and low data rate applications. In this paper, we give a brief overview of WPAN and wireless senor network (WSN) protocols. Then, we focus on IEEE 802.15.4 which is the fundamental of many LR-WPAN protocols. Finally, we set up a simple experiment based on NS2 platform to evaluate the performance of it.

Demand Response (DR) extends customer participation on power system and brings about a paradigm shift from simplex to interactive operation in power system with the advancement of smart grid technology. Therefore it is important to model the characteristics of customers in DR, and this paper proposes customer information as registration and participation information of DR which are some indices to evaluate customer response such as DR magnitude, duration, frequency and marginal cost, and the customer response characteristics are modeled from this aggregated information. This paper also introduces a new concept of virtual generation resources with their marginal cost calculated in the same form as the conventional generation marginal cost according to customer information. Finally, some constraints of DR are manipulated and expressed using the information modeled in this paper with various status flags, and the optimal scheduling combined with generation and DR is proposed by minimizing the system operation cost including generation and DR cost, with the generation and DR constraints developed in this paper.

In order to improve the quality of power supplied by medium and small-sized diesel generator which was applied an islanded load, a digital electronic speed control system was designed in this paper. For adapting the broad load characteristics, the structure of Variable-Speed-Integrated-Generator (VSIG) was adopted by the diesel generating set. The proposed governor used a fuzzy self-tuning proportion-integral-derivative structure controller that can provide variable gain strategies to account for nonlinearities in the system. The results of test were obtained by a 3kW naturally aspirated diesel generator which was applied islanded load. The test results showed that the system designed had integrated functions of speed regulating and good speed characteristics.

Association rules mining is an important research topic in data mining and knowledge discovery. Traditional algorithms for mining association rules are built on the binary attributes databases, which has three limitations. Firstly, it can not concern quantitative attributes; secondly, only the positive association rules are discovered; thirdly, it treat each item with the same frequency although different item may have different frequency. In this paper, we put forward a discovery algorithm for mining positive and negative fuzzy association rules to resolve these three limitations.

Object-based image retrieval (OBIR) problem, in which the user is only interested in a fraction of the image, remains unsatisfactory, as it relies highly on accuracy. To address this problem, a novel method basing on bipartite graph matching is proposed in this paper. On the basis of the extraction of image features, we define a cost function according to the bipartite graph theory and minimize it by using the optimization technique to obtain an optimal map. Then, we calculate the mahalanobis distance to eliminate the mismatched points, since it takes into account the distribution of matched points. Finally, we apply the measure of coefficient of variation to evaluate the discrete degree and rerank the retrieved images. The experimental results on real video sequences and Caltech256 dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of our approach.
