This paper addresses the disparity between the growing e-commerce culture in China and the lack of consumer trust in online purchases. The paper begins with a review of China's e-commerce history. It then points out that distrust of both online and offline purchases is widespread in China. It goes on to review China's Consumer Protection Law which came into force on 1 January 1994 and a major amendment to the Law effectuated on 15 March 2014. While it could take some time to reveal the effectiveness of the amended Law, the task of changing the status quo, that is, to alter consumers' propensity for distrust, has fallen to the e-marketplace operators themselves. The paper then discusses how Alibaba's Taobao.com, a leading C2C e-marketplace in China, has tried to boost consumer confidence in online transactions by designing and implementing a number of self-regulated trust-building service systems. The paper concludes with a discussion of the significance of consumer rights protection and its possible future impact on China's sustainable development in e-commerce and integration into the global online economy.

Objectives of university education is to train the beneficial talents to society, its main target is to cultivate students. Digital media industry is an emerging industry which combined to the visual packaging of digital art and the show effectiveness of digital technology. It digitize a variety of knowledge and generates visualized elements of life, while providing knowledge services via a variety of digital media. Construction of digital media art teaching system in universities that is to cultivate such industry talent. Thus, university curricula should be designed to satisfy the needs of industry and society. According to the characteristics of talents, development needs of industry, and education objectives, this article discusses the reform orientation of undergraduate curriculum of digital media arts. First, based on sustainable and international development, we determine the strategy and reform orientation of digital media arts teaching system. And accordingly we boil up the creative design, digital media, digital technology and network communication as the educational objectives of undergraduate curriculum of digital media arts. Then, we proposed the emphasis field of expertise of digital media arts teaching system. Finally, we summarized the contents of undergraduate curriculum of digital media arts from multiple levels. Results of this paper can provide an effective reform orientation for the undergraduate curriculum of digital media arts.

The Optical Translation Measurement Device (OTMD) is a novel technology which allows the pen to capture handwriting on any surface that it can see, and transmit it to any Bluetooth-enabled device. The OTMD allows users to see what they are drawing or writing in real time on your phone, tablet, or PC screen. An understanding of the factors influencing the acceptance of OTMDs will be very helpful for new-product development strategy definitions. Therefore, exploring and understanding the factors which can influence the acceptance of the novel OTMD technology have become the essential task for the vendors and distributors of such devices. However, the users who are familiar with such novel OTMDs are very limited. Therefore, based on the Lead User Theory, the opinions of the lead users will serve as the basis for deriving the factors. The second generation of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) is introduced as a theoretic basis. The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) based Network Process (DNP) will be used to construct the analytic framework. In light of the analytic results, the causal relationships being derived by the DEMATEL demonstrate the direct influence of the habit on other dimensions. Also, based on the influence weights being derived, the use intention, hedonic motivation, and performance expectancy are the most important dimensions. The analytic results can serve as a basis for concept developments, marketing strategy definitions, and new-product designs of the future OTMDs. The proposed analytic framework can also be used for predicting and analyzing consumers' preferences toward future OTMDs.

This study investigated the four different interface formats of health information display — numeric, diagrammatic, imagery, and animated interface. Interface usability and emotional reaction were measured with SUS, QUIS, and SAM questionnaires. The performance of 30 young and elderly people was compared. Statistical results indicated that the information presented by the imagery and animated interfaces is easier to understand. Elderly people show a higher degree of acceptance with the numeric interface, regarding the information acknowledgment, emotional valence, and system usability.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. Therefore, Indonesia is a pluralism country with different culture. Muslimah (Muslim women) in Indonesia are increasingly wearing the hijab, especially among the younger generations. Many Muslimah attracted to change their conventional way of dressing of hijab into modern style. Muslim fashion is growing rapidly and designs are modern, nice, stylish, and fashionable. The methods of Literature review and visual cultural theories will apply in this research. Hijab as an expression of cultural identity and communication, its main message is in addition to carrying out their religious orders and can also look fashionable.

The non-invasive bio-sensor to sensing the blood glucose is proposed. The optical bio-sensor is consists of Near-Infrared (NIR) LED, photo diode, and transducer to response the concentration of glucose which generally avoid finger puncturing. The wavelength of NIR LED is used to response the glucose that the 960nm optical spectrum of blood glucose is measured by the spectrometer system. The instrumentation amplifier is used in the transducer to sensing the concentration of glucose in the blood from the photodiode. The difference of two the measured read out value of the transducer for blood vessel with blood flow and without flow onto the fingertip. The adopted difference method can be excluding the same background tissue of the finger that the accuracy is improved. Measurement result shown that the measured voltage value is proportional to the concentration of the blood glucose. The proposed bio-sensor has a great potential in the health diagnosis and health-care applications to give human with the better life quality.

Comparison of image reconstruction by using near-field and far-field data for a buried conducting cylinder is investigated. A conducting buried cylinder of unknown shape scatters the incident wave in half space and the scattered near and far fields are measured. By using measured fields, the imaging problem is reformulated into an optimization problem and solved by the asynchronous particle swarm optimization. Numerical results show that the convergence speed and final reconstructed results by using near-field data are better than those obtained by using far-field data. Finally, it is worth noting that the present work provides not only comparative information but also quantitative information.

In order to overcome some of the challenges that current, conventional computing faces, a large set of research is being performed into unconventional computing platforms, most often inspired by discoveries in neuroscience. This tends to result in Artificial Neural Networks, which are commonly an oversimplified version of their biological equivalent, where various aspects are being ignored, e.g. the aspect of time. This tends to prevent these networks from handling temporal sequences directly in the time domain. Hence, this research studies how the intrinsic timing of a neuron cell can be used to design a hierarchical neural network with feedback. The network is based on a simple Leaky Integrate and Fire RC-model for each neuron where the intrinsic timing is determined by the capacitor discharge. The results show that the model is able to differentiate between temporally different stimuli. Moreover, feedback allows the model to put lower level cells in a predictive state. Finally, the hierarchical model allows for higher-level cells to remain stable for a longer period and therefore allow for a better combination of sequential information at lower levels.

This paper presents a digitally self-calibration method with a recursive discrete Fourier transform (RDFT) algorithm for successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). A behavior model of 12-bit SAR ADC based on Matlab Simulink is proposed to combine with the compensation algorithm and digital input testing signal. In addition, the SAR ADC error caused by 1% capacitor mismatch of the DAC array is also built for evaluation of the real radixes of the DAC capacitor array. The proposed digital calibration method utilizes a RDFT to detect the third harmonic distortion value and to evaluate the error factor by using the calibration formula. Then, the error factor is applied to generate a new digital output code for the targeted SAR ADC. Under the sampling rate of 126.26 S/s, the simulation results reveals the third harmonic distortion is -47.98 dB before calibration and -84.34 dB after calibration with 1% capacitor mismatch. In addition, the SNDR and ENOB can be enhanced to 20.9 dB and 3.52 bit, respectively. Therefore, the proposed method can be adopted to enhance the performance of the ADC for various applications in the future.
