The operation of ultra-wideband power dividers based on coupled lines under the influence of picosecond impulses are considered. The divider consists of seven links: a single-stage splitter on a three-wire strip line and six cascades of quarter-wave transformers on two-wire coupled lines. The possibility of using dividers as combiners of pulse signals fed to the outputs of the dividers is shown. It is shown that the decoupling of the output ports and the transmission factor between the input port and the output ports, measured in the pulsed mode and under the influence of the chirp signal, are significantly different. Conditions for increasing the decoupling of the divider outputs in the pulsed mode are given. The divider is made on a ceramic substrate with an area of 5.5×1.2 mm and provides decoupling in the frequency band from 10 GHz to 67 GHz not worse than 18 dB, and maximum return losses not worse than 12 dB at insertion loss from −3,5 to −4.4 dB in frequency range.

The influence of low-intensity irradiation of the human forearm with a wavelength of 640+10 nm on the temperature of the forearm and palm of the irradiated hand was studied. The duration of irradiation was 6 and 10 minutes, the temperature was measured using an IR camera. It was found that the blood flow after exposure is set at a new level, and this level depends on the radiation dose. By 20 minutes after 6 minutes of irradiation, the temperature becomes lower than the original one. By 20 minutes after 10 minutes of irradiation, the temperature becomes more than the original one. This may be the result of changes in peripheral blood flow. Temperature change as a consequence of changes in peripheral blood flow can serve as a correlated response parameter of the biosystem, since it allows quantitative control of available measuring instruments and correlates with the parameters of the action itself.

The article justifies the imperatives of applying the situational approach to information security management (ISM). We modified the model of the Information Security Management System (ISMS), which is the basis of ISO/IEC 27005: 2011: we added the “Decision Making” stage after the “Determining the main criteria” step. The solution is to choose an approach to proccesing information security risks — their assessment, impact and taking — based on certain criteria. Using the developed algorithm, we implemented a cognitive software module of the information system management (ISM) in an educational institution. The use of the cognitive software module has significantly reduced the labor costs of specialists in the Information Security (IS) Department, including automation of the reporting procedures. The application of the situational approach allowed us to integrate a person into the automated system to ensure the cybersecurity of the educational sector.

The influence of photic stimulation frequency and spatial distance between neighboring stimuli on P300 detection accuracy was estimated in this article. On basis of epochs number selection, the optimal parameters for averaging and photic stimulation were chosen. Based on the experimental data, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of P300 detection were obtained.

The problem of energy secrecy increasing for OFDM-based wireless systems is considered. The energy secrecy increasing method based on signals extrapolation and differential transformation is suggested. The possible structure of OFDM-system with signal extrapolation is described. It is shown that extrapolator may be based on Kalman filter. The problem of extrapolation parameters synthesis is formulated and solved for synchronous OFDM system and AWGN-channel. Difference signals orthogonality is proved. Energy secrecy increasing is shown by the example, the probability of signal unauthorized detection in the air is used as a measure of secrecy.

The paper describes an application that allows to visualize four-dimensional graphs of a complex variable function. Three coordinates of the graph are Cartesian, and fourth is the parametric coordinate. Graphs of complex polynomials are considered in detail. We demonstrates the well-known basic theorem of algebra about the number of polynomial roots. The study of graphs of complex polynomials made it possible to construct an exact geometric algorithm for finding the real and complex roots of a polynomial on the same plane. The algorithm assumes the construction of a graph of the main polynomial and graphs of two auxiliary functions. The application of this method is considered in detail for a cubic polynomial. In this case the method has exceptional features in comparison with polynomials of other degrees. Taking into account the well-known expressions for the roots of polynomials of order 3 and 4, the auxiliary graphs of the method have exact formulas for polynomials with order from 3 to 10.

The paper presents an algorithm of system identification for implantable rotary blood pumps. The algorithm allows to build mathematical models in accordance with the quality metric introduced to assess the effectiveness of identification. The quality metric was set as an error of pump flow estimation. In the result the mathematical models were identified using experimental dataset for two different rotary blood pumps Sputnik. The identified model of Sputnik 1 characterizes by the mean error about 0.12 L on the control set, the identified model of updated pump — Sputnik 2 — mean error about 0.14 L. The identified models intended for control of pump flow during in vitro trials.
