Improved analytical modeling of commutation losses including space harmonic effects in permanent magnet brushless DC motors 改进的含空间谐波效应的永磁无刷直流电动机换相损耗分析模型

The discrete or hopping nature of magnetic field, produced by the nonsinusoidal square-wave stator currents of permanent magnet brushless DC motors, gives rise to eddy current losses in the rotor magnets and core. These losses, referred to as commutation losses, can be substantial in large propulsion motors. This paper presents a further refinement in the analytical model derived and presented in an earlier paper. The improved model is able to account for the space harmonic effect of the stator resultant magnetomotive force (MMF) on commutation losses and consequently can lead to a more accurate prediction of the commutation loss. The model was verified by comparing its results with those obtained using the finite element method at several operating speeds and current levels. The results show good improvement (an average value of 6.8% for the total losses) compared with the earlier model (an average value of 11.7%).

PSPICE-assisted dynamic modeling and simulation of induction motor drives pspice辅助感应电机驱动的动态建模与仿真

This paper presents dynamic modeling and simulation of voltage source induction motor drives assisted by PSPICE. From the qd dynamic model of the electrical and mechanical modes, PSPICE equivalent circuits are designed and implemented for each harmonic voltage component. Closed form qd voltage equations are derived in case of a six step inverter. The proposed PSPICE net-list structured approach allows easy adding or deleting of harmonic contribution to the drive motor dynamics. Variety of transient behavior cases, such as starting, speed reversal, frequency perturbation, are investigated. Salient results are presented and commented upon.

Inter-turn stator winding fault diagnosis in three-phase induction motors, by Park's Vector approach 基于Park矢量法的三相异步电动机定子绕组匝间故障诊断

The subject of online detection and location of inter-turn short circuits in the stator windings of three-phase induction motors is discussed, and a noninvasive approach, based on the computer-aided monitoring of the stator current Park's vector, is introduced. Experimental results, obtained by using a special fault producing test rig, demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed technique for detecting inter-turn stator winding faults in operating three-phase induction machines.

Modeling and simulation of the Islay wave power conversion system Islay波浪能转换系统的建模与仿真

This paper describes the modeling and simulation of the Islay wave power conversion system which is located on the Island of Islay off the western coast of Scotland. A hybrid model of a wave-driven turbine and a grid-connected wound-rotor induction generator is constructed. The generator is modeled such that it retains the actual rotor phase variables but transforms the stator variables only. The model, implemented in Matlab, can be used to investigate under both transient and steady states the behaviors of system variables such as the stator current, the rotor current, and the generated power and torque. Some of the simulation results are presented.

A detailed mathematical analysis was performed to estimate the current ripple as a function of modulation index for direct indirect and bus clamped methods of space vector modulation. The results, both experimental and simulated, show that for a modulation index above 0.45 the direct-indirect method progressively gives lesser current ripple and becomes almost half at around a modulation index of 1. For an intelligent drive, with the optimizing criterion as current ripple, this helps in dynamically switching between bus clamped and direct-indirect methods.

In this paper, the software implementation of a rotor flux-oriented current vector-controlled induction motor drive is discussed. The control system and the modulator are realised using a general purpose Motorola 68HC16Z1 single-chip microcontroller . A new space vector modulation implementation for HC16-family microcontrollers is introduced. Some experimental measurements are also shown.

Submersible installed permanent magnet synchronous motor for a photovoltaic pump system 潜水安装永磁同步电机为光伏泵系统

Due to the demand for more powerful photovoltaic irrigation systems, a 3.8 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been designed and developed. The higher efficiency of PMSMs compared to induction motors is shown. A standard induction motor having a squirrel cage rotor and a permanent magnet rotor are studied for comparison purposes. In order to avoid the use of a position sensor, an additional rotor cage for "open loop" operation is implemented.

For the sensorless speed control of stepper motors, the rotor position and the speed can be determined by an extended Kalman filter which estimates the state variables by only measuring the phase voltages and currents. Experimental results confirm that these robust, four-quadrant, sensorless drives cover a wide range of speed nearly down to standstill.

Frequently the methods adopted to analyze control systems using DC motors involve several simplifications in the modeling of the electrical machine. This paper presents a model suitable for transient studies of DC motors, including the overall effects of the armature reaction: saturation, commutation and interpoles action.

Optimization of the skew angle of rotor magnetic poles in permanent magnet machines based on the inverse problem method 基于反问题法的永磁电机转子磁极偏斜角优化

This paper presents optimization of the skew angle of rotor magnetic poles in permanent magnet class of machines. The skew angle optimization is achieved using the gradient based inverse problem methodology. The paper introduces the armature winding flux linkages and associated induced EMFs for the first time as the object function. In the mean time, this object function involves the use of stored energy and excitation perturbation techniques. An example 1.2 HP permanent magnet brushless DC machine is used to demonstrate the validity and usefulness of the method.
