Adaptive sliding mode observer for state estimation of an induction motor on DSP-based system 基于dsp系统的感应电机状态估计的自适应滑模观测器

This paper presents a self-tuning variable structure observer to estimate the fluxes and the speed of an induction motor. Firstly, assuming that the speed is a known smooth bounded function, a sliding mode observer is designed to estimate the rotor fluxes. Then, using Lyapunov's technique and following the design approach of Kubota et al. (1993), an adaptation law is derived to estimate the unknown speed. Experimental results obtained on a digital signal processor (DSP) TMS320C31/40 MHz-based system are presented to highlight the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

The paper describes a novel method for the efficiency evaluation of three-phase induction motors using a synthetic loading technique. The method substantially reduces the testing time and vertically mounted machines can be tested in the same way as horizontal ones, without the need to connect a load to the machine's drive shaft.

An improved iron loss estimation for permanent magnet brushless machines 一种改进的永磁无刷电机铁损估算方法

This paper presents an improved approach for predicting iron losses in permanent magnet brushless machines. The new approach is based on the fundamental concept that eddy current losses are proportional to the square of the time rate of change of flux density. The so-called anomalous or excess losses, caused by the induced eddy current concentration around moving magnetic domain walls and neglected in the conventional core loss calculation, are also included in the proposed approach. In addition, the model is also capable of accounting for the stator skewing, if present. The core losses obtained from the proposed approach are compared with those measured on existing PM motors at several operating speeds, showing very good agreement.

Results of experimental investigation of effects of random pulse width modulation on inverter-fed induction motor drives are presented. The quantities analyzed include the output voltage and current of the inverter, and the sound pressure produced by the drive system. A deterministic space-vector modulation technique and three random versions of this technique are compared for practical evaluation.

Modular, axial-flux, permanent-magnet motor for ship propulsion drives 船舶推进用模块化轴向磁通永磁电机

Original features such as compactness and lightness make slotless axial-flux permanent-magnet machines (AFPMs) eligible for application in large power motor drives devoted to the direct drive of ship propellers. The paper discusses characteristics of AFPMs designed for the marine propulsion application. A newly-conceived modular arrangement of the machine stator winding is proposed and experimental results taken from a small-size machine prototype are finally given.

This paper deals with the shape design for the reduction of stator core loss of the induction motor. The improved loss analysis is proposed which is based on core loss measurement under alternating flux with a certain harmonic component and elliptically rotating flux. The time step finite element analysis is used for the computation of state core loss of the induction motor.

A fuzzy variable structure control scheme for AC servo drive system 交流伺服驱动系统的模糊变结构控制方法

In this paper, a new control approach for AC servo drive systems-fuzzy variable structure control (FVSC)-is proposed. It combines the advantages of fuzzy logic (FL) and variable structure control (VSC). FL is used to reduce the unfavorable chattering phenomena while VSC heightens the control system's robustness to parameter variations and load disturbances. Simulation results indicate that the proposed approach improves the control system performance evidently.

An accurate calculation of air-gap ripple forces and torques is performed for a 21.55 MVA synchronous motor supplied by large AC adjustable-speed drives by using a time-stepping finite-element software package. The new software tool is used to control acoustic noise for design applications with stringent noise specifications.

In this paper the electromagnetic torque developed in PMSMs is analyzed. Two strategies are discussed for torque ripple minimization. The first is based on numerical predetermination of the current waveform which should be imposed to obtain a constant torque. The second is an on-line estimation and regulation of instantaneous torque.

A theoretical analysis of the switching behavior of the MOS-controlled thyristor (MCT), with and without stray inductances present, under different snubbering conditions has been presented in a companion paper. In order to verify these theoretical results, a hard-switched experimental test circuit was constructed. In this paper, a comparison is made among the newly-derived analytical, PSpice simulation and experimental results.
