Strains of the Gram-negative, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped Serratia genus are plant endophytes. Here, we described three draft genome sequences of Serratia liquefaciens isolated in South Africa from the leaves of tomatoes and lettuce.

We obtained the near-complete simian foamy virus (SFV) genome from an infected human bitten by an African green monkey (Chlorocebus aethiops; SFVcae_hu501). The genome is 13,062 nucleotides long with the classical SFV genome structure. Phylogenetically, SFVcae_hu501 clustered closely with SFV from Ch. aethiops (SFVagm_LK3).
The Gram-negative bacterium Vibrio harveyi is a serious shrimp pathogen. Here, we present the genome sequence of Vibrio harveyi TUMSAT-2019, which was isolated from a kuruma shrimp (Penaeus japonicus) that originated from a shrimp farm in Okinawa Prefecture. The assembly totaled 5.7 Mbp, consisting of two chromosomes with no plasmid.
We report the complete genome assembly of a hydroquinonesulfonate-assimilating bacterium, Delftia lacustris strain HQS1. This strain contains one circular chromosome (6,979,964 bp) and one circular plasmid (39,999 bp). The chromosomal sequence contained 6,359 coding sequences and a gene cluster involved in the degradation of gentisate, which is structurally similar to hydroquinonesulfonate.
The pure culture of prokaryotes is essential to understanding their physiology. To facilitate research into better understanding the roles of individual bacteria in the gastric microbiome in chickens, we have established a culture collection of 1,240 isolates from fecal samples collected from healthy laying hens from across Canada.
We present the complete mitochondrial genome of Rhaphidophora duxiu from China. The mitogenome of R. duxiu is circular, AT-rich (75.3%), and 15,898 bp in length. It comprises 13 protein-coding genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and 22 transfer RNA genes. It is identical in gene content to Rhaphidophora quadrispina.
This study reports draft genomes of 30 bacteria representative of the plant food system microbiota and isolated from different sources in Italy and France. Individual genomes were reconstructed using PacBIO DNA sequencing: taxonomic classification and distribution of genes involved in microbe-environment interactions are reported to facilitate strains' characterization and utilization.
A novel classical swine fever virus (CSFV) strain GNU-240601 was identified from a commercial live Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) vaccine. The whole-genome sequence of GNU-240601 shared the highest similarity with strains belonging to subgenotype 1.1. This is the first identification and complete genome sequence of CSFV from the JEV vaccine.
We present the genomes of nine cultured microbes isolated from two freshwater sites in Wellesley, MA. The dataset is useful for exploring genomic diversity among freshwater taxa, including Pedobacter, Pseudomonas, Rhodoferax, Rouxiella, and Flavobacterium.
Here, we report the complete genome sequence of Chryseobacterium sp. strain KCF3-3, isolated from the body surface of channel catfish, Ictalurus punctatus. The de novo assembly revealed a chromosome size of 5,623,437 bp with an estimated 4,939 open reading frames.
