When the USSR disintegrated and the world witnessed the unipolar might of the USA, then no one ever expected that South Asian countries would eventually come to control the world in terms of social, military, and economic domains. In this way, the ancient customs and stunning civilizations of China and India have made them significant figures in defining world issues. Our first prime minister, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, instituted a number of projects for the prosperity and wellbeing of both countries because they attained independence about the same time. With the slogan "Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai," the Panchsheel Treaty, which was signed on April 29, 1954, served as a model for stability and respect for one another. Respect for one another's territorial integrity and sovereignty, equality, non-aggression, non-interference, and peaceful cohabitation are among the various religious measures that our Indian government has introduced. But the mistrust of the Chinese government towards the Tibet issue made things worse, and after one conventional conflict and several bilateral talks, we can today say that the situation remains unsatisfactory. If both countries are to flourish and contribute to the world's multipolar position, then the sense of insecurity and tension in the region must disappear in order to prevent the balance of power from shifting in favor of any one group. This essay aims to draw attention to the different points of dispute between two countries and offers some doable solutions that could help settle the geopolitical conflicts.

Achondroplasia is the most common cause of short stature. It is diagnosed based on physical examination, radiology and confirmed with molecular testing. They are at increased risk of certain cardiopulmonary complications and they potentially require cesarean section for delivering the baby. The fertility rate of women with achondroplasia is usually low; thus, there is little evidence about the optimal management of pregnant women with achondroplasia. We report a case of pregnant woman with Anchondroplasia, who was managed successfully with interdisciplinary coordination.

Piezosurgery has emerged as a groundbreaking technique in oral and maxillofacial surgery, offering a minimally invasive approach to bone cutting with unparalleled precision and safety. In oral and maxillofacial surgery, piezosurgery finds widespread of applications in various procedures, including dental implantology, orthognathic surgery, sinus lift procedures, harvesting bone grafts, enucleation of bone jaw cysts and resection of tumours. It utilizes ultrasonic vibrations generated by piezoelectric crystals to precisely cut mineralized tissues like bone while preserving adjacent soft tissues. This selective cutting ability distinguishes piezosurgery from traditional rotary instruments, minimizing trauma to surrounding structures and reducing the risk of postoperative complications. In conclusion, piezosurgery represents a significant advancement in oral and maxillofacial surgery, offering a minimally invasive,tissue-preserving approach to bone cutting. By harnessing the precision, safety, and patient benefits afforded by piezosurgery, oral and maxillofacial surgeons can elevate the standard of care, achieve superior surgical outcomes, and enhance patient satisfaction in diverse clinical aspects.

Bone grafting is a fundamental technique in oral and maxillofacial surgery, promising to restore function and structural integrity to damaged or deficient bone tissue. However, the journey from success to failures in bone grafts encompasses multifaceted considerations that necessitate a comprehensive understanding. This abstract navigates through the complexities of bone grafting in oral and maxillofacial surgery, shedding light on the factors influencing success and the potential pitfalls encountered along the way. The promise of bone grafting lies in its ability to stimulate natural bone regeneration, thereby facilitating functional and esthetic restoration. Biocompatible graft materials offer compatibility with the host tissue, fostering integration and promoting healing.Yet, the realization of this promise is contingent upon navigating various realities. Successful bone grafting hinges upon meticulous patient selection, graft material choice, surgical technique, and postoperative care. Patient factors such as overall health, smoking status, and systemic conditions significantly influence graft integration and healing.Autografts, allografts, and synthetic grafts each possess unique advantages and limitations, necessitating tailored approaches based on patient needs and clinical context Surgical skill and technique play pivotal roles in optimizing bone graft success. Precise preparation of the graft site, accurate placement of the graft material, and appropriate fixation methods are critical for achieving favorable outcomes. Additionally, postoperative care, including immobilization, infection prevention, and rehabilitation, is essential for promoting graft integration and minimizing complications. Despite advancements, bone grafting is not devoid of pitfalls. Graft failure, infection, nonunion, resorption, and complications at donor sites represent potential challenges encountered in clinical practice.Addressing these pitfalls requires vigilant monitoring, prompt intervention, and revision strategies tailored to individual patient needs.

Background Breast cancer is the most common cancer among humans. The mainstay of breast cancer treatment includes surgery followed by chemotherapy radiotherapy and targeted therapy. Aggressive axillary surgery increase morbidity and reduce the quality of life in terms of lymphedema which affects 20% of those who undergo axillary dissection2.The most important predictor for decreased survival and recurrence in patients with early breast cancer is the presence of axillary lymph node metastases. Axillary nodal involvement in breast cancer is unpredictable but once involved it starts from level 1and follow systematic order from level 1 to 2 to 3. Objectives 1. To find the proportion of patients who turn out to have positive level three axillary nodal metastasis following axillary dissection for early breast cancer 2. To find out factors associated with level 3 node involvement in early breast cancer. Methods Data was collected from 77 patients with early breast cancer. Axillary level 3 nodes were labelled separately during breast surgery and send to pathology for HPE and ER PR and her2neu status and results recorded. Results And Discussion Out of the 77 patients studied 3 of them turned out positive for level 3 nodal disease, even though 40 percent of patients were having clinically palpable nodes in the axilla. ConclusionAmong 77 patients with early Breast cancer 3 (4 percent) were having level 3 nodal disease and the rest of them, 74 (96 percent) were free of level 3 nodal disease. Hence avoiding aggressive axillary dissection and limiting to levels 1 and 2 in EBC will be beneficial in preventing morbidity and for better quality of life.

Background- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most prevalent health conditions, and a major cause of morbidity and mortality around the globe. Once thought of primarily as a disease of men,COPD is now known to be increasingly prevalent among women. However, little is known about gender-related differences in the lung function and circulating levels of leukocyte in COPD.Objective- To study the possible gender-related differences in the lung function and leukocyte levels in the blood of COPD patients. Methods- It is a cross-sectional study enrolling 40 COPD patients (22 males and 18 females).12 out of 18 female patients already attained menopause.Lung function was studied by computerized spirometer (Helios 401/701) and blood leukocyte counts (absolute neutrophil count, absolute eosinophil count, absolute basophil count, absolute lymphocyte count and absolute monocyte count) were determined by using suitable diluting fluids. Results- A higher FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC, PEFR and FEF25-75 in male as compared to female COPD patients are seen but not statistically significant (P>0.05).The mean neutrophil concentration is found to be higher in female patients whereas eosinophil, lymphocyte and monocyte counts are found to be higher in male patients but these findings are again statistically not significant (P>0.05). Conclusion- There seems to be a propensity for the female gender to suffer from COPD and have severe form of the disease when compared to male patients. A gender-related difference in systemic inflammation in patients with COPD in terms of circulating leukocyte levels can also be seen.

Background: During pregnancy, hormonal changes can affect the oral cavity and increase the risk of gum disease inflammation, and tooth decay. These issues can potentially harm the health of the developing baby. Therefore, it is crucial for both the mother and child to maintain proper oral health. Mothers need to be aware of the connection between oral health and pregnancy. This study aims to assess women's self-reported oral health and oral health literacy, as well as their level of awareness regarding this connection The study involved distributing a pretested Material and Methods: questionnaire to 200 mothers between the ages of 19 and 44 who gave birth at the government hospitals in Lucknow city. The questionnaire covered topics such as demographics, oral health before and during pregnancy, as well as postchildbirth oral health. Research reveals that only 20% of women had received oral examination prior t Results: o pregnancy, whereas 38.5% intentionally received dental checkups after confirming their pregnancy. Approximately 24% of the women were not aware of the significance of maintaining proper oral hygiene during pregnancy. During pregnancy, 41.5% of women reported dental complaints, and 30.5% received dental treatment. 68% brushed their teeth twice daily, while 32% observed oral health deterioration during pregnancy. Most of the mothers possessed a good understanding of the significance of maintaining oral health during pregnancy. This was strongly linked with a higher level of education and living in larger cities. The study also revealed that there was a significant connection between higher birth weight and regularly brushing teeth on a daily basis. Younger mothers tended to have more frequent problems with their oral cavity and required more dental treatments during pregnancy. The level of Conclusions: awareness among women regarding oral health management is quite low. Obstetricians and pediatricians should ask pregnant women about their dental check-ups both before and after childbirth and educate them about the significance of oral hygiene during and after pregnancy
