The aesthetic of dislocation created by writers of South-Asian origin evokes the anxiety, anguish and violence characterizing cross-cultural mobility and displacement. The multicultural trajectory of thought involves the possibilities of occupying two or more distinct worlds simultaneously. People who live in a foreign country experience the dominant-subordinate relation or the centre-margin divisions.They suffer economic and political inequities on the grounds of discrimination and are sometimes forced to occupy a subordinate and stigmatized social position. The experiences that the immigrants encounter in the host topos due to the clash of cultures are complex and they experience tremendous identity crisis,which is the most inevitable part of their immigrant experience.The concepts of “identity” and “difference”, informed by historical, economic, political parameters, are crucial to a discourse on ethnicity. Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, an immigrant writer with Indian ties, has grappled with the promises and problems embedded in immigration. Her anthology of short stories Arranged Marriage (1995) chronicles the regeneration and relocation of the immigrant women in America.This paper analyzes the stories “Clothes”and “Meeting Mrinal”in Arranged Marriage and attempts to depict Indian women's immigration to the United States as an opportunity to escape themselves from the oppressed or depressed conditions of their primary space (homeland) to freedom under the influence of the norms of their secondary space (hostland).

Introduction: An 11 year old boy presented in the out-patient department with the chief complaints of swelling over his Right forearm and inability to completely supinate the forearm since 2 years. Additionally, he complained of blisters over his back which falls of without itching. He had no history of fever with chills/rigor, blurring of vision, fits - convulsions or any other neurosensory deficit. Patient is able to flex and extend his elbow and wrist completely b Examination: ut there is restricted supination and pronation with 30 degrees range of movement in either direction. Multiple nodules can be felt over the forearm and wrist which are tender on palpation. Nodules are hard, slightly mobile with movement of the wrist and forearm. Hard white blisters present on the extensor areas of arm and back. Radiologicall Approach: y, on X-ray multiple calcified circular lesions (target sign) present in multiple planes in different sizes in between the ulna and radius. There is bowing of the forearm bones with disrupted inferior radio-ulna joint. On MRI, calcified lesions are confirmed lying within the subcutaneous planes, muscular compartments and also involving the intramuscular septum. Blood reports showed eosinophilia(7.45%) with Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate 18mm/hr and C-Reactive Proteins 1mg/dl. On HPE, section study showed fibro-collagenous tissue showing marked areas of calcification with surrounding dense fibrosis suggestive of Calcinosis Cutis. Initially, patient was managed for skeletal cysticer Discussion: cosis with albendazole but with negative ELISA and normal CT head, en-masse dissection of one lesion from dorsum of wrist was done under fluoroscopy and sent for Histo-pathological Examination. Calcinosis cutis is a rare condition which we discovered in this patient.

This article investigates the attitudes of hearing-impaired school teachers towards self-learning packages as a means of professional development. The hearing-impaired community faces unique challenges in accessing educational resources, which makes self-learning packages a potentially valuable tool for their continued growth as educators. Through a mixed-methods research approach, we examine the perceptions, preferences, and challenges faced by hearing-impaired teachers in utilizing self-learning packages.The study reveals a generally positive attitude towards self-learning packages, with teachers appreciating the flexibility, accessibility, and autonomy they offer. However, the research also identifies barriers related to technological access and communication, indicating the need for inclusive design and support systems. The findings of this study provide insights for educational institutions and policymakers aiming to empower hearing-impaired teachers through self-learning opportunities, thus contributing to their professional development and ultimately improving the quality of education for hearing-impaired students.

Introduction: The presence of supernumerary teeth is a relatively uncommon dental anomaly. It is even rarer to encounter patients with distomolar teeth, commonly referred to as fourth molars. The occurrence of supernumerary teeth is indeed an unusual dental anomaly, and it is a rarity for patients to have impacted fourth molars in all quadrants. The gemination or fusion of maxillary and mandibular posterior teeth is even more infrequent. There are few reports of gemination and fusion involving third or fourth molars. This article describes the clinical, Case Series Presentation: radiological, and surgical approaches used to address the cases of nine patients who presented with maxillary and mandibular fourth molars diagnosed via panoramic x-ray. Routine radiographic examinations revealed impacted lower third molars in addition to the fourth molars. It was decided to extract the impacted teeth causing the patients' complaints. The impacted third and fourth molars were extracted under local anesthesia. One of these extracted teeth exhibited fusion, while the other exhibited gemination. This study aims to describe the fourth molar Aim: teeth found in nine patients who visited our clinic due to pain and/or orthodontic discomfort, as well as the fusion and gemination of these teeth, along with the surgical treatments administered. Accurate diagnosis can help prevent Conclusion: postsurgical complications and streamline the endodontic, prosthodontic, periodontal, orthodontic, and clinical management of such cases. Tooth extraction surgery was the chosen clinical procedure to address the impacted teeth.

Bacbackground Of The Study:- According to WHO, 8 August 2016 Globally road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death among young people aged 15-19 years and second leading cause among 5-14year olds.90% of world's road traffic fatalities occur in developing countries. It is in this background that the UN General Assembly has declared 2011 to 2020 as the "Decade of Action for Road Safety” which seeks to halt the increasing trends in road traffic deaths and injuries worldwide India has the dubious distinction of the country with the highest number of road accident fatalities Puducherry has the second highest number of road accidents after Delhi among the union territories while Tamil Nadu accounts for 14.5% of total road accident cases in the country. Bringing about behavioral change among young adults with regard to road safety starting from their schooling years would go a long way in bringing down morbidity and mortality due to road accidents.The number of registered motor vehicles in India is increasing by 12% each year and is projected to increase from 112 million in 2010 to 500–600 million by 2014. The increasing motorization is likely to have huge implications for air quality, road traffic injuries and physical activity. Online professional courses have changed the learning methods,especially after covid 19.These professional courses proved to be very useful and broke the geographical boundaries for learning.This research paper aimed to study the preferred attributes of the online professional courses offered by the different institutions and their relative importance from a student's perspective. This paper applied the conjoint method to identify the preferred attributes of online courses. The paper found the highest utility associated with the renowned resource person, with a good research background,etc,and contemporary content.The main aim of joining the courses is to upgrade with new knowledge and skills which makes them employable and improve their earning potential. The utilities for a year duration with reasonable course fee is found positive.The positive reviews from previous students stimulate the chance of opting for the courses and most of the students prefer evening timings and live sessions for these courses.

Indigenous communities experience significant marginalisation and disadvantages, with common issues surrounding their traditional food systems, food security, and overall welfare. Their traditional food wisdom plays a vital role in improving their nutrition and health.Indigenous foods are acquired from the natural environment and form the cultural food pattern of Indigenous People. India is blessed with a variety of indigenous foods that carry unique cultural importance within local and ethnic groups.This traditional food knowledge encompasses unprocessed,small-scale,and low-tech human-managed natural resource systems, characterised by short distances from farm to plate. Over the last ten years, indigenous foods have gained international acclaim for their ability to enhance global food security and biodiversity simultaneously.These systems are recognized for their high nutritional value and substantial potential to advance overall health and nutrition. In this paper,we would like to focus the health and socio-cultural issues associated with the use of fermented rice beverage by the Deoris.
