In this paper, we consider the design of capacity-approaching forward error correction (FEC) coded amplitude phase shift keying (APSK) modulation schemes for use in the aeronautical telemetry. By maximizing the mutual information, we first investigate the designs of APSK modulations suitable for communication over nonlinear wireless channels. Then we propose a unified FPGA-based hardware-efficient architecture which combines the capacity-approaching LDPC decoders with four APSK modulation formats, including Gray-mapping-based 8-APSK, 16-APSK, 32-APSK, and 64-APSK. The proposed architecture allows the flexibility of the FEC-encoded signal to be received by legacy test-range systems. The emulation results show that such an LDPC-coded modulation scheme can adapt to wide range of received signal-to-noise ratios, ranging from 9.4 dB to 21.4 dB, by using different LDPC codes and/or modulation formats.

The paper provides signal to interference (SIR) based second order performance analysis of hybrid diversity reception with macro level (MaL) selection combining (SC) diversity receiver and three micro level (MiL) dual branch SC diversity structures in correlated Gamma shadowed non-line-of-sight (NLOS) multipath fading environment. The infinite series expression for second order statistical measure such as average level crossing rate (LCR) is obtained, numerically presented and discussed regarding different system model parameters. Precisely, the effects of Gamma long term fading severity parameter of desired signal, Gamma long term fading severity parameter of co-channel interference (CCI), shadowing correlation parameter, average signal power of desired signal as well as average power of CCI on LCR are thoroughly examined.

In this paper we have presented 3D modelling pipeline and a virtual reality model of one of the most well-known inventions of Nikola Tesla — a radio controlled boat. Tesla's invention was the first wireless control device with its own command logic. Historically, this device was the first completely realized remote control robot. Modelling was done in cooperation with the Nikola Tesla Museum of Belgrade whose original documents and model were exploited for virtual model making. Stereoscopic modelling was achieved by precisely observing original blueprints and the physical prototype owned by the Museum. Following this, the animation process and its realisation in a VR environment was achieved in consultation with a number of experts. The project deliverables now feature in the standard exhibition of the Museum.

In this paper, it is provided a contribution to electrostatic calculation of biisotropic mediums. It was performed electrostatic calculation of biisotropic sphere which is located in a homogeneous electrostatic field. Also, the parameters of both single-layered biisotropic cylinder and two-layered cylinder, where one layer is considered as a homogeneous while the other is biisotropic, placed in homogeneous electrostatic field, are calculated.

We propose generic architectures for memory-efficient Uniformly reweighted a posteriori probability (URAPP) Decoders of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) codes, with the bit error rate close to Belief propagation decoding. The architectures enables a trade off between the throughput, computational and hardware resources. As a special case, we derive previously proposed flooding schedule URAPP decoder and propose new type of the URAPP decoder which uses shuffled scheduling. We conduct a rigorous complexity analysis and provide new formulas for the URAPP decoder throughput in terms of hardware resources and memory requirements. The analysis confirms that the shuffled decoder represents an optimal solution if the hardware resources are limited, which makes it attractive in practical applications. The results are verified by simulations for the case of finite geometry LDPC codes.
