Liposomes have been researched as carriers for encapsulation of bioactive protein hydrolysate, despite low stability which makes them difficult to use. Using cholesterol or octadecylamine as lipid membrane stabilizers, soy protein hydrolysate is effectively encapsulated in liposomes created with phospholipon. Presence of both stabilizers concurrently resulted the highest efficiency 49.7%, while increasing the phospholipon mass had no effect. Particle size was raised (265 to 335 nm) as a result of the octadecylamine addition, and zeta potential was positive (36.7 mV), as compared to the cholesterol addition (-25.1 mV). Liposomes enabled extended hydrolysate release with retained its bioactivity.

The aim of this study was to examine the breeding and housing conditions and their impact on the manifestation of variability of microclimatic parameters in facilities for keeping dairy cows. The systematic measurement of microclimate parameters was performed in buildings, that is temperature ( ) and relative humidity of air (RV%) in the period from 2014 to 2020 was performed on 12 farms from 6 administrative districts in the Republic of Serbia. A total of 478328 individual hourly measurements of temperature and relative humidity of air were analyzed. The fixed model, which included factors of farm size, month, hour, and farm for the manifestation of THI with a statistically high influence of all factors involved. All surveyed farms had a high potential for the development of heat stress in June, July and August. The greatest variability of THI was between small and large accommodation farms. Medium-capacity farms had consistently the highest average THI values and potential for heat stress development.

The paper presents depreciation calculation of new MTZ 952 tractor and John Deere T 550 combine. Two time (linear and degressive) and functional methods for depreciation calculation were applied. After exploitation period of use, by calculating the annual depreciation of fixed assets, farmers can more easily plan the purchase of new machines. Also, the results of depreciation costs help farmers in making rational decisions on purchase of new machinery, or possible services engagement machines of other farmers. Taking into account costs of depreciation, prices of services provided by mechanization can be realistically determined, so based on that, farmers will choose what is more profitable.

Rosehip is rich in vitamin C. It also contains provitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin K, as well as many minerals. Rosehip is most often used to produce jams and marmalades. It can also be used to produce drinks because its specific taste and aroma significantly contributes to the appearance and taste of juices. Tea is also the most famous way to use rosehips. Due to the high content of vitamin C and pectin, it can be used for canning food in cooking and for preparing winter food. Medicinal wine can also be made from rose hips. In this paper, extracts of the plant Rosehip obtained by different extraction methods, were examined. The content of extracted substances was determined, as well as the content of vitamin C in order to determine which method will give the best yields of extracts.

For millennia, berberine extracts or berberine itself has been the effective traditional drug with wide application due to its broad spectrum of antibiotic activity. A significant aspect of the berberine’s physiological activity that is often overlooked is the ability to go through the blood-brain barrier and has an impact on different processes and irregularities in the brain such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Potential inhibitory activity towards enzymes for which is believed to be involved in these diseases, in this paper is confirmed by molecular docking simulations. Binding energies suggest that berberine exhibits good potential inhibitory activity and confirms that one of the aspects of suppression of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia is the inhibition of cholinesterase enzymes.

Soybeans are legumes capable of absorbing elemental nitrogen from the air thanks to symbiosis with symbiotic bacteria. Inoculation of soybean seeds with highly effective bacteria increases nitrogen uptake and has a positive effect on the achieved yield. The aim of this paper is to consider the effect of NS Nitragine application on the yield of six soybean cultivars of different maturation groups. Inoculation statistically significantly increased soybean yield, and the increase ranged from 6.13% in the cultivar NS Zoja to 8.49% in the cultivar Sava.

The effect of cholic acid (CA) dissolved in two different media, namely Hogland nutrient solution and distilled water, on the oxidative stress of maize (Zea mays, L.) and sunflower (Helianthus annuus, L.) was assessed by measuring the intensity of lipid peroxidation. The aim of this screening is to observe possible differences in the results obtained from plants treated with an aqueous solution of cholic acid and those treated with a solution of cholic acid in Hogland's solution. Oxidative stress was assessed on the basis of the estimated intensity of lipid peroxidation (LP), and on the basis of the measured amount of the resulting LP final product, malondialdehyde (MDA). The results showed faster production of MDA in plants treated with cholic acid in Hogland's solution, which indicates that nutrients affect the action of CA.

The aim of this study was the influence of yeasts on the production of red wines from the wine region of Vinica. The research was conducted on three grape varieties, cultivated in 3 different micro locations, each of which has its own unique characteristics and different altitudes. The three grape varieties were included: Vranec (cultivated in the area of Krshla, Vinica, at an altitude of 400m), Frankovka (cultivated in the area of Baltaci, Vinica, at an altitude of 520m) and Merlot (cultivated in Dragobrashte, Vinica, at an altitude of 540m ). The main goal of the research is to define the effect of the yeast on the quality of young wines. The indigenous types of yeast already present in the grapes (wild yeasts) and the commercial types from the Saccharomyces cerevisiae family which were isolated for use in international production of red wines of average tannin value (SELECTYS® LA DÉLICIEUSE) were applied. The research of the wines was carried out in the Wine Institute at the State Phytosanitary Laboratory in Skopje(North Macedonia) and involved examination of the wine quality parameters such micro and macro wine elements with ICP/MS and FOSS WINESCAN, parameters for alcohol, sugar, total acids, volatile acids, pH, total/volatile acids. This research gave insight of the correlation between samples of the wine and their parameters. It was further expanded with parameters for micro and macro wine elements which also shows the correlation of the wine samples. The wine region of Vinica is a developing region of great potential and this is the first step to presenting a vision for wine development in the region.

Vitamin niacin is of great importance for energy metabolism. Physiological niacin is incorporated into the coenzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP). The aim of this study was to determine the concentration of NAD and NADP in the blood of cows during the application of niacin in the peripartum period. The value of these vitamins depends on the peripartum week, regardless of the constant exogenous source of niacin.

Secondary metabolism in plant plays a major role in the survival of the plant in its ecosystem, mediating the interaction of the plant with its environment. Plant bioactive compounds are biosynthesized as a defensive strategy of plants in response to natural perturbations. A number of biological effects have been associated with the main monoterpenoids detected in investigated Micromeria spp. and Clinopodium spp. essential oils. One alternative for the production of these prospective biocontrol products is in vitro plant tissue culture. Our data suggest that the metabolic potential of in vitro shoot cultures of selected species can be manipulated by varying in vitro culture conditions.
