The research findings have identified that in the context of modern global realia, the fundamental principles of building innovative support framework for sustainable development of machine-building enterprises are undergoing drastic structural changes. Among the key drivers boosting the transformation of financial relations at the microlevel are the new imperatives of information and innovation economy as well as the processes of globalization and knowledge economy. Each component of the innovative support framework to ensure sustainable development of machine-building enterprises is viewed as a specifically organized set of structural elements (architectonics) together making a whole. It is argued that the characteristics of the system cannot be reduced to the properties of its individual elements in which management functions are embedded. It has been verified that machine-building enterprises should actively implement an innovative support framework to ensure their sustainable development, which is created with an ultimate goal – to attain the performance efficiency, maintain sustainable development and keep the enterprise functional capacity over time. This is partially achieved by differentiation of the main managers’ functions and responsibilities at different management levels. The transition to a new hierarchy level translates into changes in the scope of tasks, the complexity of the functions performed, the degree of responsibility, strategic decisions made, and access to innovative information. The architectonics and structuring of the innovative support framework to ensure sustainable development of machine-building enterprises as a logical combination of management levels (the hierarchy) and the functional areas (management system) should be organized in such a way as to attain the enterprise goals most effectively. From this perspective, management is seen as a set of individual functions, proper implementation of which contributes to gaining sustainable development management effectiveness. It has been emphasized that overcoming the challenges of multivector dimensions in making managerial decisions is often accompanied by radical reorganization of enterprise management through effective application of a management modifying function in the system of building innovative support for ensuring sustainable development of machine-building enterprises.

The article provides insights into information and communication technology (ICT) issues used in the tourism industry. It is argued that information and communication technologies is a driving force behind the tourism industry which contributes to boosting positive effects to a number of internal travel company activities and organizational factors like net cost, market and competition. ICT has become a key impetus to enhance competitiveness of travel companies as well as of tourist destinations, since a wide range of technological advancements has triggered this evolution. Actually, the overall rapid development of information and communication technologies and the Internet, in particular, has dramatically changed the tourism industry making the Internet an effective marketing tool for the entire travel services sector. This tool is of critical significance to both suppliers and consumers in disseminating information, communication and purchasing goods and services online. It has been verified that the major technologies and ICT applications used in tourism are websites; digital marketing; social networks; multimedia; mobile technologies and intelligent environments (IE). A well-designed website proved its effectiveness in promoting customer loyalty to the website and its products. ICTs are changing the way tourism products are sold and apart from that are a powerful tool for marketing research. In tourism, customer reviews and recommendations are of great importance to enhance the travel company attractiveness and promote travel destinations. Apparently, tourist information involves a wide range of graphics and image data representation to ensure positive customer perception to travellers who plan their trip. The evolution of mobile technology and infrastructure is becoming a common attribute of everyday life. In modern market segmentation realia, travel companies need to know how to adapt their market offer at a time of booking and adjust travel services to a great number of customers and market segments. The research results specify that building strong relationships with the external environment will promote better coordination between all the tourism industry stakeholders. The future of tourism is to be focused on customer-centric technologies that will facilitate a more dynamic process of communication between travel companies and their customers.

The article seeks to discuss the issues of internationalization for higher education institutions that arose with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, in particular, the suspension of both student and staff academic mobility. However, academic mobility is the fundamental premise for the internationalization of higher education where students who cross borders with the desire to change their lives and the strive for better prospects are the most critical element of this mobility. The mobility of all the education process participants has become an important driver in ensuring and promoting education transparency and the access to quality education for everyone. In fact, within the past six months, prospective students are increasingly changing their intentions to study abroad, or defer their enrolment plans for subsequent years. The aim of this paper is to explore possible solutions for further implementation of internationalization principles into all university's activities framework under the quarantine and post-quarantine period. The research findings from the in-depth analysis of a range of higher education institution performances have revealed that one of the most promising areas to enhance university internationalization is a shift from actual to virtual mobility which is based on communication within the information and educational environment. In particular, the design of new competitive online courses in English and their large-scale promotion on the international market is another priority objective for internationalization during the quarantine. Apparently, University positioning in a virtual environment is a crucial factor to build attractiveness and competitiveness of higher education institutions in the global settings.

The article seeks to explore modern approaches to managing customs logistics in Ukraine which is regulated by the current customs legislation in Ukraine, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the list of documents required for customs control and customs clearance of goods and vehicles moving across the border of Ukraine", regulations of the State Customs Service of Ukraine and other normative regulatory documents. It is argued that the logistics system should coordinate all processes of movement of goods across the customs border of Ukraine, regulate the conclusion of foreign economic contracts and customs clearance of foreign economic transactions. Besides, effective customs logistics contributes to boosting all customs related processes and provides rationale for further strategic forecasting and planning. The use of international (customs) logistics involves crossing national borders, costs resulting from the reduction of customs clearance time and simplification of costly customs procedures. The keen interest of transport companies, owners of temporary storage warehouses, customs brokers and other agents in the effective logistics performance is underpinned by rapidly increasing export-import flows and their revenues growth, respectively. The study findings have provided argument for the critical need and relevance to address the customs logistics issues in the frameworks of an integrated approach, in particular, this close coordination of actions should refer to such operations as goods transportation in individual links of the supply chain, transhipment, warehousing and storage of goods, cross-border cargo control, declaration, specifics of import, export and transit of goods procedures, ensuring the supply chain security, simplified movement of goods in the supply chain, etc.

In the context of neo-technological reproduction, the diversification and integration development strategy will contribute to ensuring long-term effective business performance through extensive use of available business capacities necessary for creating products which foster transformational process cycling within their operating environment. The diversified integrative development is a unique development paradigm that triggers optimally rational use of the enterprise current position specifics, opportunities for diversification, identification of business units within business operational activity structure as well as offers benefits of its integration with attractive stakeholders. In turn, this translates into the need to build a certain consolidated framework for evaluating the above development trend which would enable to determine the feasibility, expediency, and the relevance of such development. This ideally should be grounded upon the promising business processes in the current and strategic periods and thus driving the priority of their efficiency evaluation alongside the opportunity for rationalization of the number and structure of particular business processes to ensure enterprise effective functioning in the neo-technological reproduction settings. The purpose of this article is to build a consolidated analytical framework to evaluate the diversified integrative business development as the core for its managerial efficiency. The research has been carried out by employing the methods of classification; analogy; abstraction; grouping; analysis; synthesis and morphological analysis. The developed consolidated analytical evaluation framework is based on the principles that enable to explore the relevance and the applicability of using the diversification and integration development strategy and to assess its implementation effectiveness. The findings provide rationale for selecting indicators to assess the relevance of implementing the diversification and integration development strategy by using a development trend criterion, since the evaluation results obtained for each unit will facilitate the possibility and specify the need for its application, subject to enterprise business environment specifics as well as its further development prospects. To attain better effectiveness in selecting a promising development trend, a corresponding evaluation framework has been suggested based on performance efficiency indicators, optimality, and the maximum possible effectiveness of the interaction between enterprise business processes, identified within its structural components which boosts these process optimization to ensure successful business development in conditions of rapidly changing environment. The article seeks to explore the contemporary issues of meaningful content of a competitive advantage in achieving strategic goals. The study offers an attempt to provide a deeper understanding of competitive advantage origin and generation and suggests two patterns: competitive advantage as an outcome of effective resource management and the performance efficiency (activity success) as an outcome of gaining a competitive advantage. The relationship between the organizational knowledge categories and enterprise strategy is presented. It is argued that innovative knowledge shapes a favourable environment for building competitive advantages. The literature review on modern approaches to building company competitive advantages has allowed identifying three main areas: market-based approach, resource-based approach and partnership-based approach. It is suggested to differentiate each of the above approaches to generating competitive advantages from the three basic perspectives: in terms of the source of competitive advantage, barriers to imitation of competitive advantages and from the position of the company strategic goals. A retrospective analysis of the meaningful content of a competitive advantage concept contributed to providing the author’s interpretation of this category with an emphasis on the relevance of its consideration within three projections – market position, unique resources / opportunities and partnership interaction with further focus on specific drivers of competitive advantages as an impetus for partnership collaboration in the business environment. Among the factors able to boost competitive advantages the study considers the following: innovative knowledge exchange possibilities and building the capacity to create additional resources / opportunities (tangible and intangible). A competitive advantage within the scope of this study is viewed as company's ability to respond quickly to market demands through the effective use of unique resources / opportunities (own and derived from partnerships in the current business environment) in order to most effectively meet the customer needs and expectations.

It is argued that sustainable enterprise development implies a high degree of security assurance. Conventionally, economic security management is a core subsystem in the overall enterprise management framework. However, in a dynamic environment, such a system needs to be improved and updated to meet the current realia. Thus, the relevance to shape the determinants of enterprise economic security management arises from the awareness that the system needs to be improved. From this perspective, motivational management can become a driver in ensuring economic security. The purpose of this article is to provide a comprehensive research on the key determinants that affect motivational management issues of enterprise economic security in the context of sustainable development. The research has employed the following scientific methods: analysis and generalization of theoretical approaches to interpreting the content of ‘enterprise economic security’ and ‘economic security management’ concepts; a graphical method to present the economic phenomena development factors as well as grouping and identifying the key determinants of motivational management in ensuring enterprise economic security. The study discusses the basic approaches to understanding the nature of enterprise economic security and building the economic security management framework. The findings reveal the principles, rationale and factors behind the paradigm of enterprise economic security motivational management along with presenting the fundamental determinants of business development in the context of motivational management of enterprise economic security. The in-depth analysis of the internal and external environment, underlying causes and factors as determinants of motivational management of economic security bears evidence of their interrelationship. As implications for further research, implementation of selected determinants will contribute to providing insights into basic enterprise economic security management processes.

The article defines the intellectualization of enterprise business process management based on the components of holistic approach. The study explores the issues of managing holistic development of complex socioeconomic systems and presents the principles of criteria formalization in holistic management of company business processes. The basic factors and conditions enhancing the company holistic development management efficiency are investigated along with providing insights to the key external and internal drivers in application of the concept of holistic development of business processes. A conclusion about the need to employ the holistic development paradigm as the most promising one is substantiated. The article presents a model of a holistic approach to managing company business processes. The authors offer their original interpretation of the holistic approach as an integrated concept focused on the company potential, in particular its economic capacity, reflecting different stages of company market relationships and utilization of resources. An emphasis is put that the holistic approach toolkit has been applied only to those sectors of the national economy that are characterized by high innovation activity on the one hand and a high degree of consumer interaction, on the other. The study also suggests implications for further research which are associated with identification of methodological components of holistic approach in business process management and their adaptation to modern realia of Ukraine’s economy, as well as the elaboration of practical guidelines to implement the holistic approach in building the company marketing mix. The background for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises has been analyzed together with identifying its future trends in the context of economy stabilization. Regression analysis was carried out for small, medium and large enterprises. It is argued that small and medium-sized businesses need specific organizational forms and adequate financial support to operate effectively, it is also important to find optimal patterns of cooperation between SMEs and other sectors of the economy, in particular, with large corporations and the government. In this context, the option of implementation of international best practices should be considered.

The article explores the dynamics of creating favorable environment for doing business in Ukraine as a key characteristic of business development. The study offers interpretations to the concepts of «incentive», «stimulation» and «economic incentive» along with presenting a salary survey of the highest paid top executives and the net profit of the largest domestic state-owned companies. One of the basic challenges for the national economy development is achieving high standards of living, in particular high income of citizens. Salary is a major source of income for hired personnel. However, for an employer, remuneration, as well as any type of material reward is a stimulating tool for staff to attain the company goals, on the one hand, and an element of production costs, on the other. Thus, building an optimal system of economic incentives accommodates the interests of all stakeholders in the labor process: employees, employers and the government as a whole. A top manager is one of the most critical elements of the company human capital, while personnel costs is a specific type of investment in the overall structure of the incentive system. The national legislation allows business owners not to disclose data on bonuses and salaries of their top managers. To date, the common practice of state-owned enterprises in paying bonuses to top executives is not to disclose the criteria of such remunerations which eventually might lead to a situation when heads of loss-making enterprises can receive bonuses.

development is associated with functional dependency, in particular related to its economic potential, optimization methods of potential utilization, and company management paradigm which challenges a critical need to build a management system to facilitate economic potential development, and also provides for: 1) the need to harmonize this system with the strategy of effective regional development; 2) enterprise economic potential reproduction subject to transformation of management decision-making criteria; 3) the implementation of progressive methods of enterprise production resource and asset management with a focus at maneuvering. In this context, the capacity to respond promptly to market changes is of critical importance to enterprises. To this end, modern enterprises are forced to increase their production output through the rational use of their labor, production resources and financial assets, as well as to take into account the emergence of new social needs, focusing on key factors of change, which will ensure the dynamism of their economic potential. The paper argues that management system of enterprise economic potential is a set of targeted tools and methods to affect enterprise stakeholders’ interests characterized by constant dynamic transformational changes under the effects of internal and external environment, with a focus on rational use of enterprise potential and ensuring its balanced business performance The suggested pathways and recommendations on enterprise economic potential management have significant implication and can be used in business for the most effective use of labor, production and material resources in static and dynamic aspects of the overall industry strategic development of the in general.
