Student council is problem solving for that. The Purpose of this study is to describe the effectiveness of the implementation program student council in Vocational High School with indicator plan/program, efficiency facilities and infrastructure, and goal. The method is qualitative. Questionnaire has been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed with an average (mean) after that interpreted with percentage. The results showed that the implementations of the program STUDENT COUNCIL in Vocational High School can be said effective enough. It can be described is: 1) the implementation of the program faith and devotion to God Almighty that are in categories effective enough, 2) the implementation of the program superior personality, fostering national insight, and defending the country that are in category effective enough, 3) the implementation of the program academic, artistic, and / or sporting achievements according to their talents and interests that are in category effective enough. 4) The implementation of the program creativity, skill, and entrepreneurship that are in category effective enough. 5) The implementation of the program quality of body, health, and nutrition that are in categorie effective enough. One of the problems that had received the attention of almost all universities in Indonesia was the radicalization of thought which resulted in anarchism, intolerance and even violence in the name of religion. Radicalism at least at the level of thought had received support from the campus community. On several campuses, the tendency of students to support radicalism was also very high. Indonesia is the largest palm oil producer in the world, of which 19 Palm Oil Mills (POM) are in Bengkulu Province. POM in Bengkulu generally processes palm fruit bunches into Crude Palm Oil (CPO) with the by-products of Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) which contains CPO residues (CPO-res) as much as 0.6-1.2%. CPO-res are cheap raw materials for the manufacture of biofuels. The purpose of this study was to develop a module based on laboratory research of synthesis of biofuel. Synthesis of biofuels was done by esterification with an acid catalyst, followed by a trans esterification using a base catalyst, both reactions are carried out with ultrasonic irradiation assistance at a frequency of 45 kHz, temperature 60°C, for 30 minutes. This laboratory research was then developed as a module; the module was then used in learning chemistry after being validated by expert judgment. The biofuel has a density of 0.852 g / mL, kinematic viscosity of 1.692 cSt, fog point = 8.84 ° C, pour point = 11°C, acid number = 1.122 mg KOH / g oil and water content = 0.739%. Modules developed from research into biofuel production after being validated by expert judgment on good value (4.71) at the level of trustworthy validation trust (0.846) can be used in learning organic chemistry. Keywords—biofuel; CPO; ultrasonic irradiation; module; POME

In mathematics learning, concepts and contexts are required that students are able to learn from real-life environment. However, teachers generally equip students with formulas without being accompanied by the ability to comprehend basic concepts. Mathematics learning will indeed be enjoyable if it is not only textbook-based but also followed by real-life experience. This study aims to investigate whether local cultural context could foster students’ concept understanding in mathematics learning, particularly plane figures. Therefore, the research will, firstly, describe plane figures learning that uses the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education approach via iceberg and, secondly, discover students’ improvement in concept comprehension after applying the approach. 50 elementary school students participated in the research, which employed experimental and descriptive methods. Further, the study results demonstrate an increase in concept comprehension, indicated from the increase in student learning achievement based on the average score of the experimental class and of the control class (88.40 and 72.91 respectively). Next, the independent sample ttest suggests t-count is higher than t-table, therefore Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Thus, the learning outcomes of the class using the PMRI approach linked to Palembang’s cultural context has increased.

Changes in learning outcomes from student changes, it is expected that future generations will emerge who are well-behaved, qualified and able to get along with the surrounding community. This research method uses cross section method in which research is based on data. Data analysis was carried out namely quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. However, education in Indonesia cannot be separated from problems. The problems that occur cannot be separated from the influence of all parties including students, families and also the community. In regulating the behavior of students, parents and teachers contribute to increasing positive values for children. Not only parents and teachers who play a role in regulating the behavior of students, the community also plays an active role in improving the behavior of students. The input stage is done by parents and the school, which plays an active role in improving the behavior of students and the stage of output by supervising the association of children in the community environment in order to get values that strengthen him in behaving politely. The purpose of writing is to describe and integrate teaching material with learning materials for students by utilizing folklore for students in the material to preserve the value of local wisdom through folklore. Based on the results of the learning process in class X of Seluma Bengkulu 1 Vocational High School, Bengkulu folklore memorization in learning Indonesian language and literature shows that students are more interested and easy to find character education values. The results of analysis identify Bengkulu folklore and find content that has been analyzed as three kinds of folklore, namely: Clever Sleepers, Seven Head Snakes and Princess Serindang Bulan. Where class X students have analyzed using five values of character education, namely: honest, independent, disciplined, socially caring, and responsible. Not all of the five character education values are contained in each story. In the story of the Clever Contest students find the values of character honest, disciplined and caring socially. In the story of the Seven Head of Snake Legend, students find the values of character honest, disciplined and caring socially. In the story of Putri Serindang Bulan, students find the value of discipline and social care character education. Keywords—character building; folklore

Along with technological advancements and increasingly modern times, ways of communicating between individuals have changed. Individuals communicate no longer directly with their interlocutors, but individuals prefer to communicate through social media with the help of a Smartphone. This phenomenon mostly occurs in the millennial generation called phubbing. This condition is caused by various factors, including smartphone addiction, lack of self-control and so on. Phubbing behaviour can cause the millennial to be indifferent to others, delay, short attention span, depression or other mental disorders. This type of research is library research that focuses on phubbing behaviour. one of the psychological interventions that can be done is through guidance and counseling services. Guidance and counseling services are needed to focus on behavioural media, so that individuals can use smartphones smartly. Keywords—phubbing; counseling perspective; generation
