The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-efficacy and emotional intelligence on teacher performance. The population of this research were the teachers of province of South Sumatra which were a teacher of vocational high schools in South Sumatra. Test results were analyzed using inferential statistics on covariance analysis. the result of the magnitude of the contribution of Self-Efficacy (x1) and emotional intelligence (x2) has a simultaneous effect directly on teacher performance (y) is = 0.942 or 94.20%. The remaining 5.80% are not explained in the study. Keywords—self-efficacy; emotional intelligence; teacher performance

The purpose of this research was to identify the impact of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) on the ability of understand of mathematical concepts. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach to the type of study is a library research, the data obtained from various sources related to the matters under investigation in the form of books and literature or the results of research and writings related to research the journal is both national and international journals. The results of this study indicate that Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) can have an impact on students' understanding of the concept. In order to achieve this, teacher should know and master various ways to teach students with Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) that can be used to improve students' ability to understand concepts in mathematics learning. The implication in this research is a collection of results of other people's research or theories underlying the problem that is wanted to be studied. Keywords—Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL); understand of mathematical concepts

This paper describes the implementation of literacy used by early childhood teachers in language learning in schools. With the background of the modern era and globalization, the purpose of this study was whether print literacy is still necessary and important to be used in early childhood language learning and whether teachers should use digital literacy to keep up with the development of the industrial revolution 4.0 era. This research attempts to explain the teacher's perceptions of literacy learning. This was a mix method qualitative descriptive research. Researchers conducted a survey method for head masters and early childhood teachers in Bengkulu City. Data collection shows that most principals and teachers believe that digital literacy needs to be done in addition to print literacy but some preparations were needed such as the readiness of principals and teachers in learning technology, school needs in the application of digital literacy, and the availability of ICT facilities such as computers, tablets and internet networks. Literacy and language learning is provided through print literacy, such as literary books, story books, posters, letter/words cards, and puppets. Unlike the expectations of experts, the use of digital literacy is still very rarely used. In some schools, teachers also conduct literacy and learn languages by displaying stories through computers or TV, but only once at the top of the theme. Keywords—literacy; language; learning; teacher’s perception; early childhood

The mathematics was a difficult subject for students to study in senior high school. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of cognitive structure of students in understanding mathematical concepts. The Samples were randomly selected as many as 140 students from the whole students of senior high school at the Kota Bengkulu. There are two the latent variable. It was the ability to understanding math concepts and cognitive structure. There are two and seven indicator variables, respectively. The research instrument was a test of the ability to understanding mathematical concepts and tests of cognitive structures. The data from the two tests were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The results, the suitability of the whole model was good (i.e. model fit). Conclusion, there is a positive direct effect of cognitive structures on the ability to understanding mathematical concepts. Keywords—cognitive structure; understanding mathematical concepts

The development of knowledge and technology is a challenge for educators to be creative in learning. Innovative and interesting learning media is needed now to anticipate the times. This study aimed to develop blended learning media with a flipped classroom model on direct learning in the course of evaluating chemistry learning processes and outcomes. This research was R & D research using the development model of Borg & Gall. The results showed that blended learning media for flipped classroom model proper to use in the evaluating the process and the chemistry learning outcomes lecturing which were shown from the results of the feasibility test from aspects of material, graphics, and language obtained an average of 95.33 is very high categories. Limited and extensive trials on students showed the readability of high category media. The effectiveness test also showed that the use of blended learning media for flipped classroom model on direct learning could increase students learning interest in Chemistry Education study

The purpose of this study is to know the effects of learning resilience and stress on student learning achievement. Samples were selected by random technique, as many as 32 students. Data collection was carried out using two questionnaire instruments (i.e. resilience questionnaire and stress questionnaire), and one learning achievement test instrument. Data were analyzed using inferential statistics, namely multiple regression. Conclusion: resilience has a positive direct effect on learning achievement; learning stress has a negative direct effect on learning achievement. Keywords—resilience; stress; achievement

The objective of this study was to describe intelligence quotient (IQ) of prospective teachers in the Institute of Teacher Training and Education. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive study method (survey) to describe the conditions that occur in the situation. A total sample of 330 students was from the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Culture & Art, Faculty of Mathematics & Science, and Faculty of Economics. Culture Fair Intelligence Test (CFIT) Scale 3 Form A was used to measure students’ intelligence quotient. Based on the research results, it showed that (1) very few prospective teachers are in the smart and very smart category (4.3%), most of them are in the average category (57%), even there are students who are in the lower category (36.3%), and borderline (2.4%); (2) there are very few high school graduates who chose to continue their studies in the Institute of Teacher Training and Education as their first choice; (3) increasing the quantity of input in educational programs in the Institute of Teacher Training and Education must be followed by increasing the quality of input. This study aims to describe the level of achievement on child development by early childhood education institutions, based on national education standards. This kind of research has not been done yet by other researchers. The method used is documentation study / literature study using secondary data from 76 early childhood education (ECE) institutions from nine sub-districts collected through standardized institution accreditation instruments. Data collection is carried out by assessors of the National Accreditation Board, through the steps of desk evaluation, visitation and validation. Data is processed using percentage statistical techniques then analyzed using indicators of the level of achievement on child development, namely; (1) achievement of six aspects of child development includes religious and moral, social and language, cognitive, motoric, and artistic values. (2) Classifying classes based on the age of the child. (3) Documentation of achievement on developments at the daily, weekly, semester and annual levels. The results of the study show that the level of achievement on child development in early childhood education (ECE) institutions that is only fulfilled is (17%) while those that have not been fulfilled (83%). Keywords—early childhood national standard education; early childhood standard; level of achievement on child development
