Islamic religious education (PAI) subjects are the main subjects in high school and have different characteristics from other subjects. However, there is very little research on PAI learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the character of discipline, and hard work on the results of learning Islamic religious education. This study uses a causal survey method. Respondents in this study amounted to 228 students at the State Vocational High School (SMKN) in West Nusa Tenggara Province. The analysis method uses path analysis techniques (path analysis). In previous studies found a number of factors that can affect student learning outcomes. The findings of this study reveal that the character of discipline and hard work are both factors that positively impact student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education (PAI) subjects. Thus the high and low learning outcomes of PAI can be influenced by factors of discipline and hard work. The results of this study will contribute to a school similar to the findings of the influence of the character of discipline, hard work and learning outcomes of PAI. —One of frequent natural disasters in Lampung Province is earthquake. This natural disaster often cause loss for public, both properties and life. The earthquake threat shall be worse when people are unable to deal with. The perspective of earthquake disaster from form benefit point of view can bring a new paradigm toward the disaster threat into positive. The change of perspective of the earthquake threat can be a new opportunity for people to use the nature into capitals for effective regional development. The objectives of this research were to describe history, fact, potential, and disaster management model, especially earthquake disaster in Lampung Barat district. Outputs to reach in this research were 1) scientific publication in an international reputation journal and/or in an accredited national journal; 2) a text book concerning natural disaster as a supplement for teachers and a student’s book for junior and senior high school that would be published by a national reputation publisher and distributed nationally; 3) to produce another output in form of intellectual property right in the education engineering. This research used qualitative and quantitative method (mixed method approach) that combined qualitative and quantitative data collections and analyses in a single research. There were four main types of designs of the mixed method; explanatory, exploratory, embedded, and triangulation. The research result showed that the earthquake disasters occurred in Liwa in 1908, 1933, 1994, and 23 August 2018. Most of people (95%) did not understand the standard of operation procedure for natural disaster. 56% people always worried about earthquake, despite that learning about earthquake was very important. A model of learning community was developed by involving stakeholders, especially parents as the members of school committee. Parents would be a vital part in determining success of school program in building students with characters to have resilience.

The purpose of this research was to describe the application of Dick and learning design in the course of ICT Design and Multimedia as well as instructional impact and it’s accompanied as learning outcomes for students. The design used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with steps of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection which is consisting of 3 (three) cycles. The subjects of this research were sit in the second semester (even) students, consist of 32 students. Data collection techniques are written tests to measure "instructional effects" or mastery of Multimedia Design and ICT lecture materials. Whereas to see the "impact accompaniment" technique used is observation. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. First, application of learning design dick and carey can actualize the impact of instructional and accompanying student learning outcomes through steps; a) needs analysis to determine goals, b) conduct learning analysis, c) analyze students and their environment, d) formulate specific objectives, e) write down performance goals (learning objectives), f) develop learning strategies, g) develop learning materials, g) designing & developing formative evaluation, and h) revising the learning. The application of the Dick and Carey learning design is very effective to actualize instructional impacts as a result of learning Multimedia and ICT Design courses for second (2) semester students of Education Technology University Bengkulu. This is probably because the learning design has a systematic process in teaching and learning processes. Improving the quality of learning in universities can basically be done through a macro-scale approach or with a micro approach through improving the learning situation in the classroom. A macro approach has been largely done by creating national and regional policies. However, micro approaches, such as those undertaken by lecturers through classroom climate studies, have not been made a systematic effort to improve learning processes. The second approach requires the ability and willingness of self-evaluation of the lecturer; Ideally, this second approach should be more optimized as it is a college effort to provide service satisfaction to its internal customers, namely students. This study aims to develop and validate the classroom climate inventory for use in universities. The inventory consists of two forms, the actual and preferred form adapted from the Colleges and Universities Classroom Environment Inventory (CUCEI). The research was conducted on 1,244 undergraduate students from various universities in some provinces such West Sumatera, Riau and Gorontalo. From the analysis result, it can be concluded that both the actual and preferred form of college classroom climate are valid and reliable, so it can be used to conduct further research at universities.
