This study presents a holistic model based on Fuzzy Bayesian Network-Human Factor Analysis and System Classification (FBN-HFACS) to analyze contributing factors in the pandemic, Covid 19, risk management under uncertainty. The model contains three main phases include employing a) HFACS to systematically identify influencing factors based on validation using content validity indicators, b) Fuzzy Set Theory to obtain the prior probability distribution of contributing factors in pandemic risk and address the epistemic uncertainty and subjectivity, and finally, c) Bayesian network to develop causality model of the risk, probabilistic inferences and handle parameter and model uncertainties. The Ratio of Variation (RoV), as BN-driven importance measures, is utilized to conduct sensitivity analysis and explore the most critical factors that yield effective safety countermeasures. The model is tested to investigate four large manufacturing industries in South Khorasan (Iran). It provided a deep understanding of influencing human and organizational factors and captured dependencies among those factors, while quantitative finding paves a way to efficiently make risk-based decisions to deal with the pandemic risks under uncertainty.

Abstract Background & Objective Recent studies have shown that over 60% of dentists have any musculoskeletal disorders during their professional life. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of comfort levels of patients and clinicians while performing standard oral prophylaxis by ultrasonic scaling. Methods A questionnaire was distributed among the patients and clinicians to record their perceptions on comfort levels, treatment satisfaction and efficiency levels on both conventional and Pd. Fifty Patients were included in group A, those in which non-surgical periodontal therapy was done in any two quadrants on a conventional dental chair. Group B consisted of 50 Patients, those in which non-surgical periodontal treatment was done in other two quadrants on Pd support. Results Positive and negative aspects towards both the approaches by clinicians and patients regarding comfort levels, efficiency, and satisfactory levels were assessed and were more related to the Pd method. Clinicians are more comfortable when they used Pd approach, and everyone liked it. Conclusions By following the Pd concept in dentistry, one can increase the longevity of dentists to work in their profession mainly by altering the workspace/environment and changing into Pd support instead of a dental chair.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to identify the strategies adopted by drivers when confronted to an unexpected event, pedestrian crossing, and to test the influence of having (or not) a collision with the pedestrian when faced to others pedestrian. Fifty-three participants were submitted to a simulator circuit including three unexpected pedestrians crossing the road. The subjective alertness and tension were collected by the Thayer questionnaire before the drive and the pupillary diameter was measured using an eye-tracking device. The results show that physiological state is important in the early processes of the driving session because it determines the first experience with an unexpected event and the change inherent to this experience. In a second time, driving parameters, such as speed and used strategy for avoidance, have a higher importance to explain driving performance.
