This research aims to determine the language attitude of Basa Osing speakers. This research is important because of the debate over the Basa Osing linguistic status which considers that Basa Osing is only a variation of Javanese, and the other assumption that Basa Osing is an independent local language. The highlight of the debate was when the Governor of East Java removed Basa Osing from the curriculum of local content. It will affect the attitudes and behavior of Osing speakers, especially young speakers. This research used quantitative method and involved 100 participants around Banyuwangi. The instruments used to collect data were questionnaires. This research proved that there is decline of positive attitudes shown between generation to generation (group I score = 3.19, group 2 = 3.23, group 3 = 3.87). Basa Osing is very possible to experience language shifts in the future if the perspective of the society gets worse.

This article purposes to analyze the causative construction of Mandailing language as a typology in morphosyntaxis. This study provides an overview of the Mandailing contstruction forms that were often used by people in their daily lives as natural language in South Tapanuli District. The Methode used qualitative descriftive method. The data was obtained through proficient methods, record by analyzing in a conversation. Intuitive data were analyzed through morphemes and causative verbs of the Mandailing Batak language. The results of the analysis of the data on this study present an informal method in the form of exposure to three parts morphosyntactically causative construction including analytic, morphological, and lexical which the verb mambaen ‘make’ part of the causative verb. The Mandailing causative affixes of the Batak Mandailing to the results of the analysis are (ma-ko), (tar), (pa-kon), (pa-on), and (pa) in the causative morphology. This research was conducted on two different regional folklore stories, namely Balinese folklore (Jayaprana-Layonsari) and Lombok folklore (Raden Sandubaya-Lala Seruni). This study aims to determine the comparison of the two folklore structures. The theory used is the theory of Levi-Strauss Structuralism. This research data was obtained through a library method by taking data from two folklore books entitled "Jayaprana" and "Raden Sandubaya and Lala Seruni" as well as through interview methods. The results of the study show that there are similarities and differences in the four structures of folktales that are compared. The equation is seen in geographical structure and cosmology. Geographical structure in the form of land and sea, while the cosmological structure in the form of the human world and the unseen world. Differences are seen in the techno-economic structure, Jayaprana-Layonsari folklore shows more variety in terms of people's livelihoods. In the sociology structure there are two aspects in common, one different aspect, and one aspect that has similarities as well as differences.
