The purpose of this study is to reveal the politeness maxim of what is obeyed and the maxim of what is violated in the Whatsapp group of PKK RT 04 RW XXIII Kelurahan Meteseh, Kecamatan Tembalang, Semarang. This research data is a piece of discourse taken from the group Whatsapp messages by choosing the topic of commemorating the 74th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia. Once the data is collected, it is then analyzed by using linguistic politeness theory. Based on the results of the study, communication via Whatsapp of the PKK group complied with six maxims. Obedience to these six maxims causes a more harmonious relationship between group members. In addition to obeying the sixth maxim, this Whatsapp group also violates the maxim of wisdom and the maxim of sympathy that was aimed at humor.
本研究的目的是揭示PKK RT 04 RW XXIII Whatsapp群中遵守的礼貌准则和违反的礼貌准则Kelurahan Meteseh, Kecamatan Tembalang, Semarang。本研究数据是通过选择纪念印度尼西亚共和国独立74周年的主题,从Whatsapp群组消息中提取的一段话语。一旦收集到数据,然后使用语言礼貌理论进行分析。根据研究结果,通过Whatsapp与库尔德工人党进行沟通符合六条准则。遵守这六条箴言会使团队成员之间的关系更加和谐。除了遵守第六条箴言,这个Whatsapp群还违反了智慧箴言和幽默的同情箴言。

This study aims to categorize the toponymy based on its manifestation aspects, explain the meaning of village names, and identify the cultural values contained in the naming of villages in Ponorogo Regency. This research uses anthropolinguistic theory, toponymy, meaning, and cultural values. This research uses in-depth interview techniques and literature study to collect the data. The analysis method used is the descriptive ethnographic method. The results showed that 83 village names in Ponorogo Regency contained toponymy aspects based on the naming. The village toponymy category in Ponorogo Regency includes three naming aspects. The manifestation aspect is contained in 34 village names, social aspects in 39 village names, and cultural aspects in 11 village names. In terms of meaning, 32 village names contain advice, rules, patterns of thought related to Javanese customs culture in the local community. Besides, it also contains the cultural values of peace and prosperity.

The purpose of this study is to describe the prophetic values of the lyrics to the song "Akhlak" (2019) and "Virus Corona" (2020) by Rhoma Irama. To study the prophetic values in the two song lyrics, the sociology of literature approach is used, especially in the social aspects of literary works, because the prophetic values are one of the social aspects of literary works. The concept of prophetic values used to analyze the two lyrics of the song, refers to the concept of Kuntowijoyo, namely humanization, liberation, and transcendence. The results of the analysis of the lyrics to the song "Akhlak" and "Virus Corona" both clearly contain an invitation to do good (humanization) and prevent bad deeds (liberation). Although the lyrics of the song highlight the value of humanization and liberation, but both lead to human servitude to God (transcendence).Keywords: Prophetic values; song lyrics; social aspects; and transcendence. The purpose of this study is to find out how GM's social practices as agents in the Indonesian literary arena in the 1990s, and the structural responses to these social practices. This research is qualitative. The material object is GM's social practice in the Indonesian literary arena in the 1990s, while the formal object is the arena structure's response to the action. Data analysis was performed by chronological mapping accompanied by decomposition that referred to Anthony Giddens's sociological theories. Based on research that has been done, the results show that GM runs social practices by occupying several arena structures, including Horison, AJ and DKJ, Tempo through Caping, and KUK. The structural response to these actions was manifested in several conflicts, contradictions and acceptances that helped to bolster the existence of GM's literacy in the Indonesian literary arena from the beginning to the 1990s.

Based on the results of this study it is known that in the public sphere most migrants in the city of Semarang use Indonesian more often than their mother tongue. However, it turns out that there are some migrants who still retain their native language, namely the traditional migrants who live in the villages. In the public sphere for migrants who are married and already working, in communicating with colleagues, superiors and subordinates more often use Indonesian in both official and informal situations. In the public sphere (such as schools and workplaces) for migrants with child status, most choose to use Indonesian to communicate well with peers, teachers, administrative staff, library staff, as well as gardeners and janitors.

The study of play scripts is one of the rare literary studies. One reason is because the object is very rare. The highly productive Indonesian play script writer is Putu Wijaya. Putu Wijaya wrote many stories with many themes, one of which was titled DOR, which raised social and justice themes. The theory used to analyze DOR is the sociology of literature with the help of psychology and law science through literature study with the method of reading, listening and note taking. In DOR, there are various kinds of character clashes between characters in responding to a case. Justice that tries to be sought in the narrative of this play always collides with various problems, where the premise becomes a kind of reflection on social phenomena that occur in the real world. Even though it was written decades ago, DOR still feels relevant to the condition of society, especially its relation to the world of law enforcement and the search for justice, which is increasingly bleak and unclear. As a work of art, DOR is capable of photographing various kinds of legal world phenomena with all its cross-clashes. The clash of character or character really represents all the complexities of legal problems in Indonesia. Where various interests take part in determining the results of justice seeking.

The material object in this study is the jaran kepang Turonggo Mudo Ngesti Budaya art group located in Semarang Regency. Using the arts management theory and qualitative research methods and in-depth interviews, this study aims to analyze the management system used in the arts group. The data acquisition supports the results of the research, in the form of (1) the planning stage, consisting of weekly, monthly, and incidental work programs carried out by the Turonggo Mudo Ngesti Budoyo art group; (2) organizing stage is the activity of sorting work according to organizational structure and fostering members; (3) the stage of supervision / controlling ,consisting of the introduction, implementation and saving back, and (4) the evaluation stage, namely the stage of evaluation of the success or failure of the activities carried out by the art group. Of the four stages carried out it can be said that the Turonggo Mudo Ngesti Budaya group is a traditional arts group with a good management system, even though the process of regeneration and financial management is not optimal enough, because there is no separation of leaders on the artistic and production sides, even though the selection and management of the right management will make traditional arts groups are more optimal in existence.

This research investigates impolite utterances by haters of Lady Gaga on her instagram comments through pragmatic study. The object is to find out the types and functions of impoliteness strategies. This research was conducted by descriptive qualitative design. The data were words, phrases and clauses. The sources of data were comments of Lady Gaga haters in a photo which posted on January 10th 2019 on her instagram account. The findings of the study show that: (1) There are four types of impoliteness strategies found on comments of Lady Gaga’s instagram namely positive impoliteness, bald on record impoliteness, negative impoliteness, and sarcasm. Positive and negative impoliteness are the high percentage strategies while sarcasm is the lowest frequency strategy to occur in this research. (2) There are three functions of impoliteness strategies are used by haters of Lady Gaga on her instagram comments. They are entertaining impoliteness, affective impoliteness, and coercive impoliteness.

The object is to find out the types and functions of impoliteness strategies. This research was conducted by descriptive qualitative design. The data were words, phrases and clauses. The sources of data were comments of Lady Gaga haters in a photo which posted on January 10th 2019 on her instagram account. The findings of the study show that: (1) There are four types of impoliteness strategies found on comments of Lady Gaga’s instagram namely positive impoliteness, bald on record impoliteness, negative impoliteness, and sarcasm. Positive and negative impoliteness are the high percentage strategies while sarcasm is the lowest frequency strategy to occur in this research. (2) There are three functions of impoliteness strategies are used by haters of Lady Gaga on her instagram comments. The journal entitled "Analysis of the Relationship between Reaching For The Sky Short Story and Genetic Structural Theory" aims to describe the genetic structuralistic relationship shown in the study of Reaching For The Sky short stories. This research uses descriptive analysis method by using literary sociology analysis techniques. Short Story Reaching For The Sky is an interesting to be chosen because it is thought to show the relationship between structuralism theory and social inequality.The results showed that the short story Reaching For The Sky by Mitchell Waldman is work that is full of criticism about social class inequality that occurs in Brooklyn, New York, USA. This short story besides carrying the theme of social class, can also be examined more deeply using the theory of Genetic Structuralism. This can be achieved because between the short story and the author, there is a very close relationship. Can be identified through the author's background and what is in the short story. Characters, settings, story lines, enough to represent the correlation of short stories, authors and theories that support the link between the short storyline and genetic structuralism. Among these are: facts of humanity, collective subjects, worldview, structuration and dialectics of understanding.

When the storyline of chick lit and teen lit is always dominated by female figures, the metropop shows female and male figures. However, like popular novels that are more read and written by women, the metropop always presents issues that are centered on women. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of revealing the image of women in the ‘Tetralogi Empat Musim’ metropop by Ilana Tan consisting of ‘Summer in Seoul’ (2006), ‘Autumn in Paris’ (2007), ‘Winter in Tokyo’ (2008), and ‘Spring in London’ (2010). Data was collected by note-taking technique, and analyzed by descriptive-qualitative method. The methodological approach and the theoretical basis adopted for this research are feminist literary criticism. The results of the analyse indicate that in the tetralogy, (1) female self-image is displayed subject with TWITS (Teenage Women in Their 30s) characteristics, namely single, independent, working, aged between 24-30 years, beautiful and attractive, living in urban areas, lifestyle metropolis, heterosexual, and have character ‘The Waif’, and have 'weakness'. (2) The social image of women is described as being still the object of a patriarchal system in the form of dependence on male figures due to love relationships.
