Aim of the study To present the morphological structures that make up the Ligamentum capitis femoris (also found in the literature as Ligamentum teres) with a focus on the blood vessels which are located alongside it, thus supplying the head of the femur with blood. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the significance of the ligament regarding the destructive changes in the hip joint and to investigate to what extent the pathological changes are related to age, sex and overexertion. The blood supply of the caput femoris from r.acetabularis of a. obturatoria passing through the ligamentum capitis femoris is demonstrated and the connection with the development of various degenerative diseases of the hip joint such as osteoarthritis, aseptic and septic necrosis. This is a pilot study that will include groups of people of different age and gender. Materials and Methods To achieve our goals, we examined the structure of Ligamentum capitis femoris with an optical microscope, after staining the preparations with Hematoxylin Eosin and Azan. We performed a comparative complex analysis of the morphological characteristics and somatotopic features of the Ligamentum capitis femoris in humans. Results Ligamentum capitis femoris is composed of collagen fibers, fibrosis and adipose tissue. This is the only ligament in the human body through which passes a vessel from a.obturatoria - r. acetabularis. It contributes to about 25% of the blood supply to the femoral head. This is an essential connection between the two fragments of the joint - proximal, represented by the acetabulum and distal, represented by the caput femoris. Conclusion Ligamentum capitis femoris has a biological, mechanical and trophic role in the hip joint and should not be considered a rudimentary structure that loses its function with age (4). The principle of minimal ligament damage in all invasive procedures should be followed, as well as the gentle treatment in exercise of strength sports.

The role of the medical laboratory assistant in the multidisciplinary health team, both in our country and in Europe, is to assist other medical specialists in the diagnostic and treatment processes by performing various tests prescribed by a doctor. Modern requirements for the training of medical laboratory technicians, compared to those in other European countries, are a prerequisite for a change in the qualification degree “professional bachelor”. This professional qualification degree creates conditions for difficult mobility of students during the training, as well as impossibility in practicing the profession outside the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. The study found that the similarities in the training of medical laboratory technicians in Bulgaria and in other European countries cover the main disciplines in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, but differ in the document for acquired professional qualification, which deprives medical laboratory graduates of competitiveness on the European labor market.

Spinal deformities are an increasingly common problem in the adolescent population. They are caused by improper posture when walking, sitting, standing or by a pathological agent. We distinguish scoliosis, lordosis, and kyphosis, which can be observed in all three planes. Even spinal deformities can be structural and functional. Spinal deformities are increasing progressively nowadays, and poor posture has become an integral part of the daily lives of children and adults. The project „Healthy and active“ aims to educate children from the 132 SS „Vanya Voynova“ on correct motor habits. The children were examined and diagnosed for deviations from the correct posture and distortions in the area of the spine. After the study, a kinesitherapeutic complex was developed to combine corrective gymnastics with games. In this way, all of the children‘s attention is engaged during the lessons. The project is finalized with an anonymous survey of children. The obtained results show that 91.3% of the respondents give a positive assessment of and feedback on the event.

Polyetheretherket (PEEK) is a synthetic, tooth-colored polymeric material that has been used as a biomaterial in orthopedics for many years. PEEK is a partially crystallized, thermoplastic material, resistant to high temperature, with a melting point of 400 ° C and is suitable for pressing various dental prostheses. The purpose of this report is to present the possibilities of PEEK as a material for making fixed partial dentures with CAD/CAM systems. Material and methods: Examples are presented for the production of various structures from PEEK with the help of CAD / CAM systems or according to the methodology Press2, on which a composite inlay is made. Results: The chip resistance of CAD / CAM fabricated PEEK fixed prostheses is much higher than that of lithium disilicate glass-ceramics, alumina and zirconium. Due to its mechanical and physical properties, which are similar to those of bone and dentin, PEEK can be used for a number of applications in dentistry. Conclusion: PEEK is an attractive material that can be used in the manufacture of fixed and removable dentures using CAD/CAM systems, due to its excellent mechanical properties compared to materials such as acrylic plastics. Further studies and clinical trials are needed to investigate the application of this material and possible modifications for further applications in dentistry.

E-health in Bulgaria in recent years is one of the most current topics in health care. An important element of e-health is the introduction of e-prescription. The process has been developed since 2011 with the launch of the "Electronic Prescription" project of the National Health Insurance Fund. The need for the effective introduction and use of the electronic prescription has been unequivocally confirmed with the spread of COVID-19. The purpose of the publication is to study the awareness and attitudes of people in Bulgaria about the use of electronic prescriptions. A survey was conducted among the population in different age groups. The results obtained can be useful in conducting an awareness campaign on the use of e-prescription and assessment of the expectations of users of the service.

A brief historical overview of the development of the pharmacy work, the profession “Assistant pharmacist” and the pharmaceutical organizations in Bulgaria on the occasion of the 60 th anniversary of the profession in Varna. Before the Liberation of Bulgaria, persons with insufficient pharmaceutical training performed the medical care of the population. After the Liberation, the “Temporary rules for the organization of pharmacies in Bulgaria” were created. According to the rules, the managers of the pharmacies were required to be master pharmacists, but until 1895 only 18 people have a legal degree in pharmacy. On August 11, 1883, a “Regulation for the admission of pharmacy students and assistants in pharmacies” has been established, which marks the beginning of the training of pharmacy assistants, whose training takes place in pharmacies.
