In 1997 a Class 35 kV submarine cable was installed in the Sonda de Campeche, Mexico, for the distribution of electrical energy to several offshore oil production platforms. The installation site is made up of seven marine platforms linked to each other by an electrical network in 34.5 kV. During the installation of the cable, there were some problems in the laying, forming "loops", which led to apply a greater mechanical effort to the cable. After the installation of all cable sections, an off-line evaluation was performed by measuring partial discharges with CA. In 2009, a new evaluation of the submarine cable was carried out by measuring partial discharges in line. The method used for the measurement of DP, is based on a detection system by means of a current sensor for high frequency (UWB), tuned to a frequency of 80 MHz. This paper describes the monitoring of the submarine cable since its installation, evaluation by measuring partial discharges (DP) with CA before commissioning, and its evaluation after twelve years in operation.

With the growth of the fleet of vehicles in recent years, it becomes essential to know the quality of the most used automotive lubricating oils on the market. The aim of this research was to analyze the performance of synthetic and semi-synthetic lubricants of Shell brand, synthetic lubricating oil used was 5W-40 and semi-synthetic was 10W-40, both had the same SAE viscosity of 40, On the packaging. Through experimental observations and laboratory tests used on the engine of a Gol City type 1.6 2014 Flex-type car that traveled 5,000 km with each lubricating oil. The research in question is relevant since many consumers of automotive vehicles do not have the specific knowledge about the quality of the lubricants taking into account only the price of the lubricating oil used. The research provided the knowledge of the physical properties through the kinematic viscosity test and viscosity index that were performed in a "Saybolt" viscometer, the results obtained in this step were converted to "centistokes" according to the approximate system conversion multiplication factors Of viscosity. The observation tests, water contamination in which a heating plate was used, were also carried out to verify which of the lubricating oils present the highest contamination by water.

This study aims to investigate the treatment and disposal of post-consumer edible oil produced in the manufacture of food used for biodiesel production, installed in a company in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. literature sources were searched, procedures adopted by the company, collection of secondary data through business in the process. The generation of vegetable oil liquid waste is one of the problems that have contributed among the most significant in Manaus City due to lack of management linked to an ineffective system. The population generates waste vegetable oil every day, resulting from the preparation of food in kitchens whether public or private and in homes, these residues that are unknown for the most part, what is done, they are discarded. The result shows that the production of biodiesel using post-consumer oil, provides an environmentally satisfactory result for the social and environmental, as it helps to reduce pollution and contribute socially to generate jobs and income in Manaus City. After observing its final phase oil behavior can be seen that using simple can techniques produce this alternative fuel that the company has become a matter of survival in the current market, where fuel prices (diesel) has been increasing steadily, the gains from the replacement of fuel (diesel) for biodiesel in the company, come to order up to 60% savings, and contribute to the reduction of atmospheric emissions produced by vehicles of domestic fleet.

For high demand in the global market for erythropoietin (EPO) and the inability to grow in new fermentation’s devices, by high costs and services, it is necessary to provide to Molecular Immunology Center (CIM) fermentation’s systems more efficient and that is the objective of our work collective. Among the main problems in this fermenter were: difficulties with some sequences of operation; high risks of operation by the operator as some sequences of operations are performed manually; failures (for automatic operation) in fermentation runs accounted for 65% of total failure of this equipment. This work is related to a series of changes in "software and design" made to the fermenter R1 of the CIM EPOVAC plant, which has reflected a progressive increase in productivity of the fermenter, reaching record production figures.

The Company Radiocuba looks after the correct operation of the radio transmissions and television. Schedules in that the facilities are not exist assisted, therefore, the operator of the Center of Provincial (CPD) Address doesn't know the main parameters of the transmitters, neither when a team is outside of service, another aspect, is that it doesn't have the state of the alarms of the center in real time. The main objective is to design a system supervisor for "Rebellious CTOM 670" located in Santa Clara's city. For it was analyzed it the bibliography related with the Centers Transmitters of Modulated (CTOM) Width, it was designed the architecture and a SCADA to give solution to the outlined problem, the results and obtained contributions of the carried out tests were evaluated. In the work PLC IP2CHOICE was used, which has great potentiality for the radio systems and television for its communication facilities and graphic programming. SCADA that was designed allows to know in real time the parameters and alarms of each transmitter, the same actions in a local way can be executed as remote and the flaws are valued by the specialists before moving to the place. For what is viable and necessary, because it guarantees the technological independence. The simulation and the carried out tests, as much in the laboratory as in situ, they validate their functionality and it is conceived in a scalable and flexible way to assimilate future amplifications.

T he purpose of this work is to present concepts of systems integration, involving the computational, electronic, civil and mechanical areas directed to domotics and the benefits it brings, focused on the remote control performed through the Internet. Addressing Web programming with the use of Java applets, and other technologies involved in implementing Internet integration with automated residence. By demonstrating how it is possible through a web browser to control automated home systems, allied with the increasing demand for home automation products. They are systems that allow the lighting of lights by means of sensors, automatic climate control, cameras integrated in the rooms besides many other equipment. Where the proposed system includes lighting control functions, using switches that allow the control of light intensity, which allows the implementation of scenarios with scenic lighting.
