Realization of Negative Politeness Strategy on Speech Act of Questions and Answers in the Learning Processes 消极礼貌策略在学习过程中问答言语行为的实现

Research on the use of negative politeness strategies in speech acts has often been done, but the realization of strategies that speak with negative politeness in speech acts to ask and answer in the classroom learning process by teachers and students has not been fully explained. This article was written to explain the realization of the strategy of speak act with negative politeness in Indonesian which is done by teachers and students in the classroom learning process. This article's data is a speech act of asking-and-answering that is carried out with negative politeness strategies by teachers and students in the classroom learning process in 2017-2018. Data was collected by observing techniques and analyzed qualitatively based on the theory of speech acts, speech strategies, and language politeness. Based on the findings and discussion, the result of researh is concluded the following. The strategy of speaking with negative politeness in speech acts to ask in the learning process in the classroom to be realized with maaf ̳an expression of forgiveness‘ , permisi ̳excuse‘, sedikit ̳a little‘, siapamau ̳who wants‘, siapaingin ̳who wants it‘, siapabisa ̳who can‘, siapalagi ̳who else‘, is there, and requests for approval (ya, kan? ̳yes, right?‘). In the speech act of answering, the strategy of speaking with negative politeness is realized with the maaf ̳expression of forgiveness‘, permisi ̳excuse me‘, izinkansaya ̳allow me‘, kalautidaksalah ̳if not mistaken‘ , sejauh yang sayatahu ̳as far as I know‘, kalaubolehberbeda ̳if may be different‘, and tambahansedikitlagi ̳a little extra‘. These expressions can minimize coercion or minimize the burden on speech partners. In addition, Those speech acts asking questions and answering can protect the speaker's self-image and the speech partner's self-image so that the speech acts are perceived as polite by the speech partner.

The Changes and Sustainability of Alek Batonjong Tradition in Customary Marriages in Nagari Solok Kubuang Tigo Baleh Nagari Solok Kubuang Tigo Baleh习俗婚姻中Alek Batonjong传统的变化和可持续性

This study analized the changes and sustainabillity of marriage system of tradition custom for local villagers of Solok Kubuang Tigo Baleh called Alek Batonjong. The study was conducted in subdistrict of IX Korong and KTK of Solok regency. The purposes of the study were to describe the continuity and changes of the process by comparing the party held in 1988 and 2015. The results showed the shape of implemention Alek Batonjong Dt. Sati Koto Darek in 1988 that after being compared the party in 1988 and 2015 were found some changes, namely the days used in 1988 was 7 days and 7 nights, but in 2015 use only 2 days and 2 nights, and the people involyed in 1988 was involyed all societys of Nagari Solok and community Kubuang Tigo Baleh, but in 2015 was only ethnic gropup leader, the leader of woman from ethnic group, and the society around IX Korong in Solok.

The Effect of Herringbone Technique And Students’ Reading Interest on Students’ Reading Comprehension At Grade VIII Of MTs Sumatera Thawalib Parabek Bukittinggi 人字形技巧与学生阅读兴趣对苏门答腊八年级学生阅读理解的影响

This research aimed to test the effect of herringbone technique and students’ reading interest on students’ reading comprehension.It is a kind of experimental research with quasi and 2x2 factorial designs. The reading comprehension test and reading interest questionnaire were used to collect the data of the research. The data were analyzed by using Chi-square test for normality testing, variance test for homogeneity testing, t-test and ANOVA for hypotheses testing. The result of data analysis showed that; (1) herringbone technique produced higher reading comprehension of students than small group discussion; (2) herringbone technique produced higher reading comprehension of students with high reading interest than small group discussion; (3) herringbone technique did not produce higher reading comprehension of students with low reading interest than small group discussion; (4) there was an interaction between technique and students’ reading interest to students’ reading comprehension. Based on the findings, it is concluded that herringbone technique is an effective technique for students’ reading comprehension compared to small group discussion.

Developing Biography Text Teaching Materials Based On Author’s Experience 基于作者经验开发传记文本教材

This current study aimed at developing teaching materials used in learning Bahasa Indonesia for students in Senior High School. The materials were gained through writing process conducted by the author of biography text books. The books were developed based on the author creativity in writing process. They were expected to overcome the students’ difficulties in creating learning products in the form of biography text. Research and Development method were employed during this study. It was designed by doing initial potential and problem analysis, data collection, product design, validity of design, product trial, and product revision with observation, interview, questionnaire and written test were used as technique and instrument of the research. From this study obtained descriptive data on the need for teaching materials in schools, score data on the ability to write biographical texts of students, description data about the structure of biographical text and the results of expert validation of instructional materials developed from the author's experience, and scores on the measurement of learning effectiveness developed. Data were then analyzed by applying quantitative and qualitative analysis. Based on the analysis, biography text teaching materials based on the author’s experience help the students understand the materials easily. The effectiveness of the learning process as well as the students’ activity in creating learning products was positively measured.

The Achievement of the First Grade Students based on Their Learning Experience in Elementary School at SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi: A Comparative Study 基于小学学习经验的一年级学生成绩:比较研究

This research aimed to find out whether there is a difference in English achievement between students who have experience of studying English at elementary school for more than 4 years and students who do not have such experience. This research was quantitative research and a comparative analysis techniquehas been employed. The participants of the research were the first grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Jambi academic year 2017/2018. The sample of this research comprised of 50 experienced students and 50 non-experienced students. In analyzing the data,normality and homogeneity,t-test was used to establish the significant data. The result of analysis data between variable X1 and X2 used SPSS 16 for Windows showed that the value of to (tobservation) was 3.36. In the t-table, score degree of significance of 5% is 1.98 and score degree of significance of 2.50% is 2.28. It can be concluded that towas higher than t-table (3.36 > 2.28). It means that experienced students and non-experienced students have significant difference in their English achievement.

Creative Movement Learning Model in Dancing for Kindergarten Teachers 幼儿园教师舞蹈创意动作学习模式

At the age of kindergarten, identically students in the phase of playing period. Thus, the repertoire learning of dance is not the main goal for them to be achieved. However, the motoric skills are something that are expected to encourage and increase their confidence properly. There is a tendency for teachers who think that the motoric skills must be taught in the form of dance repertoires but it is wrong, because in kindergarten, students is provided by stimuli so that students can produce creative and expressive movements. Motoric skills are the foundation in dance that should be denied. This means that if they activates his motoric according to its function, then they can easily do dancing. For this reason, a dance learning model is needed in order that they can produce the movements through stimuli with good exploration activities through visual, auditory, professional, and stimuli towards the surrounding natural objects, in which all of them are destined to dancing activities according to the child's characteristic level. The limitations that appear in the process of dance learning in kindergarten are teachers teach dance, but they are not supported by relevant fields of expertise. This makes them teach dancing without considering the level of difficulty and range of movement that the child has. Besides, they do not succeed in exploring the students’s potential that should be nurtured and developed without feeling burdened. So, this learning model of creative motion combined with the explorative method is a way to overcome problems and overcome difficulties faced by kindergarten teachers in carrying out their duties as professional educators. Based on the application of creative motion training through Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) in Pasaman Barat Regency, the teachers can create dance according to the characteristic of each child without obstacles. The teachers enthusiastically create with their ideational and used it as a basic foundation in constructing creative movements. So they create a series of creative, innovative, and communicative dance movements.

There is a tendency for teachers who think that the motoric skills must be taught in the form of dance repertoires but it is wrong, because in kindergarten, students is provided by stimuli so that students can produce creative and expressive movements. Motoric skills are the foundation in dance that should be denied. This means that if they activates his motoric according to its function, then they can easily do dancing. For this reason, a dance learning model is needed in order that they can produce the movements through stimuli with good exploration activities through visual, auditory, professional, and stimuli towards the surrounding natural objects, in which all of them are destined to dancing activities according to the child's characteristic level. The limitations that appear in the process of dance learning in kindergarten are teachers teach dance, but they are not supported by relevant fields of expertise. This makes them teach dancing without considering the level of difficulty and range of movement that the child has. Besides, they do not succeed in exploring the students’s potential that should be nurtured and developed without feeling burdened. So, this learning model of creative motion combined with the explorative method is a way to overcome problems and overcome difficulties faced by kindergarten teachers in carrying out their duties as professional educators. Based on the application of creative motion training through Pengabdian Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) in Pasaman Barat Regency, the teachers can create dance according to the characteristic of each child without obstacles. The teachers enthusiastically create with their ideational and used it as a basic foundation in constructing creative movements. In this 4.0 era, digital technology and information system technology have integrated with teaching media and tool. From previous studies,Google Classroom is one of technologies whichhas been implemented inScience, Social Science, and Engineering Departments of Higher Institution. Based on PEOU and PU, the resultsare satisfying. Unfortunately, there weren’t any studies that showwhether Google Classroom is also appropriate for Language Department. Therefore, a research was conducted in English Bussiness Writing Class of English Department Politeknik Negeri Padang. The research was carried out in 2A and 2Bwith 54 total number of students. The data was collected using fieldnote of observation, questionnaire, and interview. In this descriptive qualitative research, LMS feature was used as the indicator to analyze the collected data. The result is Google Classroom has caused efficiency and effectiveness in the process of teaching and learning of English Business Writing class. Thus, teacher’s creativity is needed, and the role of a teacher to decide the use of the technology in the class is really big. But overall, using this LMS in a writing class supports the paper-less program

The Existence of Music in the Ba Arak Program in the Traditional Culture of Marriage of the Koto Tangah Community Koto Tangah社区传统婚姻文化中Ba Arak节目中音乐的存在

This article aims to reveal and explain the function and existence of music in the Ba arak tradition in the marriage customs of the Koto Tangah community in Padang city. Ba arak is a tradition commonly practiced by the Koto Tangah community at a wedding party. The process is done from the Bako house to the wedding party, where Ba Arak is also performed as a sign that someone is married, to need to be paraded (herded) throughout the village. Baarak tradition that is in the kenagarian Koto Tangah Padang, is a procession of eporia with the sound of a vibrant music. This research is a qualitative method with descriptive method, the data is collected by interview technique, which is directed at the problem of music function and its existence in the Ba arak program at the Koto Tangah community wedding party. Other data collection is done by observation, which is observing the ways or structure of the presentation of music that delighted the procession, but also observed the response of the community to the procession and the sounds of the music. Data collection was carried out in the form of document data analysis, in which the data was obtained from notes and writings on the procession in the Koto Tangah community tradition. Data analysis was carried out with a plot based on Miles and Huberman analysis techniques, such as data collection, selecting data, exposing data, testing data and summarizing the results of data analysis. The results of the study found that the function of music in the Ba arak program in the marriage tradition of the Koto Tangah community was as a means of communication, in addition to being a means of communication as well as an entertainer of the community, as a sign that there was a new bride in the procession.

Authentic assessment assesses real students’ ability as closely as their real life experience in a subject. It is a comprehensive assessment of all instructional activities covering both process and product of learning. A guidebook to implement authentic assessment for writing skill for junior high school has been developed by some experts. The authentic assessment instrument has to fulfill the requirements of being valid, practical and effective to make it a good device. This research focuses on evaluating the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the authentic writing assessment for grade 7 and 8 of junior high schools. Moreover, the appropriate instruments are needed to evaluating validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the authentic assessment for writing skill. This study aimed at developing instruments for evaluating validity, practicality, and effectiveness of authentic assessment for writing skill at junior high school. The instruments were developed by using theoretical based approach and were validated by the expert in language assessment and English language teachers at Junior High School. The developing instruments were in the form of the questionnaire. The questionnaire based on the validation from the experts and English teachers, it can be concluded that the instruments are valid and can be used for evaluating validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the authentic assessment for writing skill at junior high school.
