Banana peel and pineapple peel have high potassium content. The banana peel and pineapple peel combination can be used as lozenges in potassium supportive therapy. The safety of banana peel and pineapple peel combination lozenges must be ensured by the acute toxicity test. One of the parameters observed during toxicity testing is the organ index. This study aims to determine the relationship between dose and toxicity in acute oral administration of banana peel and pineapple peel combination lozenges on the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, and kidneys organ index in white rats (Rattus norvegicus L.) Wistar strain. Acute toxicity based on OECD 425 guidelines for the Up-and-Down Procedure (UDP) method. Rats were grouped into 2000 mg/kg BW and 5000 mg/kg BW dose groups, consisting of 5 rats. Organ indexes were analyzed using SPSS Independent Sample T-test with 95% confidence level (p0.05). The result showed no significant difference between both doses (P0.05) in heart, lungs, liver, spleen, and kidneys organ index. Based on the results, it can be concluded that banana peel and pineapple peel combination lozenges did not affect white rats’ heart, lungs, liver, spleen, and kidney organ index.

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by bacteria known as mycobacterium tuberculosis. In Indonesia, tuberculosis is the third common public health problem the prevalence of the disease in this country is among the highest in the world after China and India. Sufficient knowledge of diseases and medicines correlates with the result of therapy in general. Knowledge about drugs is important for patients since it helps them to consume drugs properly (which result in maximum therapy) and to avoid complications. The purpose of this descriptive study is to determine the level of knowledge of patients suffering from tuberculosis in the tuberculosis treatment program at Bulango Utara Puskesmas (Community Health Center) by a questionnaire. It applied a cross-sectional approach with primary data obtained from the result of a sample questionnaire totaling 24 patients taken by saturated sampling. The result of this present study reveal that the level knowledge of patients with tuberculosis in the area is still relatively low at 75%, while only 25% is classified as moderate.

Black papper seed extract has known for its antivitiligo potential. The addition of black papper seed extract was predicted can influence the physical stability of the cream. Therefore, this research was aimed to test the physical stability of cream contained black papper seed extract in varity of emulgator there is tween® 60-span® 60, tween® 80-span® 80, novemer®, dan viscolam®. Physical stability test using the cycling test method by storing the preparation at 4 ° ± 2 ° C for 24 hours and then storing it at 40°±2°C) for 24 hours. The storage time at these two different temperatures is considered as one cycle and carried out for 12 days. The stability parameters were organoleptic observations, homogeneity, dispersion, pH, viscosity and cycling test results. The results showed that there were differences in organoleptic values, pH, viscosity, homogeneity and dispersibility. The most stable cream was obtained, namely the cream formula using emulgator Tween® 60-span® 60, had a good organoleptic value, cream type m/a, pH 5.10, viscosity 46,800 cPs, spreadability 4.2 cm2, homogeneous cream . The results of this study indicate that black pepper seed extract cream can be formulated into a stable cream preparation.
