This study reports the findings of fieldwork based on adult fruit fly samples collected from the province of Tokat in the spring and summer months of 2016–2018. Adult fruit fly samples were caught by using insect nets from possible host plants, taken into killing bottles, and then transferred to storage jars. As a result of the diagnostic procedures, a total of 28 fruit fly species belonging to 11 genera of the Tephritidae family were identified. Using the Gaussian09 software package, N-(6-(2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy)-5-fluoropyridin-3-yl)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)pyrazolo[1,5 α]pyrimidine-7-amine(DFPA) the theoretically optimal molecular structure, vibration frequencies and related vibrational movements of the molecule were researched. The DFT(B3PW91 and B3LYP) techniques' 6-311G(d,p) basis set was used to perform quantum chemical computations. HOMO and LUMO analysis were performed for charge transfer in the molecule. NBO analysis was used to examine the stability of the molecule as a result of both charge delocalization and hyperconjugative interaction. DFT approach was used to perform MEP and expected infrared sensitivities and Raman activity are also presented. Geometric parameters of both calculated DFT methods are compatible. Binding affinity values and molecular coupling studies show that the title substance forms a stable complex with MtPanK and PanK. It is possible that the molecule has inhibitory activity against MtPanK and PanK, paving the way for new anti-tuberculosis drugs’ the development.

Nonylphenols are endocrine disrupting toxic compounds and are widely used. For this reason, our study aimed to investigate the genotoxic effect of nonylphenols applied at different doses on mouse bone marrow cells. In this study, 5 groups were formed from 50 Wistar albino adult male rats. Groups were classified as control group, the sham administered only (150 µl) group, low dose (25 µl / 125 µl sham), medium dose (50 µl / 100 µl sham) and high dose (75 µl / 75 µl sham) nonylphenol administered group. After 24 hours, the rats were euthanized and analyzed to detect DNA damage by determining the polychromatic erythrocyte/Normochromatic erythrocyte ratio and the number of micronucleated polychromatic erythrocytes in the femur bone marrow cells. While polychromatic erythrocyte/Normochromatic erythrocyte ratio was found to be lower in the groups treated with different doses of nonylphenol, especially in the group treated with high-dose nonylphenol, this decrease was not statistically significant. When the micronucleated polychromatic erythrocyte values were examined, it was observed that there was a statistically significant increase, especially in the medium and high dose groups compared to the control (p=0.0002, p

It is costly and time-consuming to determine coastal pollution with ground measurements. One of the most basic parameters to determine pollution in these areas is Chlorophyll A. This study aims to investigate the determination of this parameter using Remote Sensing (RS) techniques. In the study, the Sentinel-2 satellite was used to determine the parameter Chlorophyll A in the coastal areas of the Black Sea. 19 algorithms were used in the application. The algorithms are related to luminance reflections and the 8 bands of the satellite were used for the study. An Artificial Neural Network model was published as the best result. Pollution was observed in the coastal areas of the Black Sea between 2021 and 2017. As a result of the analysis, it is possible to observe coastal pollution quickly, without cost and/or at very low cost, with RS techniques. In this sense, RS techniques are of great importance in detecting environmental pollution, and relevant algorithms should be developed and supported by local measurements.

The release of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere as a result of anthropogenic sources and industrial applications has triggered the increase in global temperatures called global warming and related climate change. Phosphogypsum (PG) is a by-product of the wet process phosphoric acid (H3PO4) production process, which chemically consists of calcium sulfate dihydrate (CaSO4•2H2O) with some impurities. Annual PG accumulation has reached 300 Mtons and a strategy is needed to ensure efficient, continuous and bulk consumption. Due to the high amount of calcium it contains, PG is a material suitable for use in CO2 capture and storage processes to form stable solid carbonate compounds. This process, called mineral carbonization of PG, contributes to sustainable development goals by providing the multiple benefits of both the utilization of an industrial by-product and the realization of CO2 capture and storage technology.

The Geometridae is one of the most populous families in terms of the number of species in the order Lepidoptera. It is known to have more than 23,000 species worldwide. Geometridae species cause damage to forest trees, but it has been reported that they also cause damage to cultivated plants in studies. This research was carried out in Turkey's Central Black Sea Region (Amasya, Çorum, Ordu, Samsun, Sinop, Tokat, and Yozgat) in 2017 and 2018 years. Adult specimens of Geometridae were collected using an insect net and a light trap in the study region. Obtained specimens were prepared according to standard museum methods for butterflies and prepared genitalia structures. As a result of the study, five subfamilies (Ennominae, Geometrinae, Larentiinae, Orthostixinae, Sterrhinae), 36 genera, and 48 species were determined. Also in this paper, the examined materials and adult photographs of the species are given. This study provides new information about the zoogeographic distribution of Geometridae species identified in the research area.

Inhibitors of xanthine oxidase (XO) are effective and most major therapeutic drugs for the management of gout. Chalcone compounds are important in terms of biological activity and have great importance in enzyme studies in recent years. In the presented study, the effects of some chalcones on the enzyme were tested in vitro by the spectrophotometric method. Compounds showed an inhibitory effect between 7.21±0.07 and 13.78±0.13 µM IC50 values. The conformations and interactions of the compounds in the active site of the enzyme were determined by the molecular docking method using Molegro Virtual Docker software. Molecular modeling studies show that the B ring of chalcones has a significant contribution to the inhibition effect on the XO enzyme. The presented study suggests that chalcones may be a potential inhibitory group for XO.

Yerli ve ithal Hypericum perforatum sulu ekstraktlarının kimyasal içeriği ve biyoaktif kapasitesinin karşılaştırılması ÖZET Sarı kantaron olarak bilinen ve etnaformakoljik olarak en çok kullanılan Hypericum perforatum, Hypericaceae familyasına ait bir bitkidir. Bu çalışmada yerli ve ithal H. perforatum sulu ekstraktlarının antioksidan, antimikrobiyal, DNA koruyucu aktiviteleri ve enzim inhibitör özelliklerini değerlendirmeyi amaçladık. Her iki örnek için de toplam fenolik ve flavonoid içerikleri belirlendi. Analiz sonuçları, DHPE (Yerli H. perforatum sulu özüt) ve IHPE (İthal H. perforatum sulu özüt) numuneleri için yüksek fenolik içerikti. Numunelerin diyabetle ilgili temel enzimlere karşı inhibisyon aktivitesi seviyeleri çarpıcıydı; α-glukosidaza gelince, DHPE'nin IC50 değeri 16.35±0.07 µg/mL idi ve IHPE'nin IC50 değeri 15.05±1.36 µg/mL idi, bu da sırasıyla enzimin standart inhibitörünün etkinliğinin neredeyse iki katını temsil ediyor. Ozen","doi":"10.32571/ijct.1187768","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.32571/ijct.1187768","url":null,"abstract":"Yerli ve ithal Hypericum perforatum sulu ekstraktlarının kimyasal içeriği ve biyoaktif kapasitesinin karşılaştırılması \u0000 \u0000ÖZET \u0000Sarı kantaron olarak bilinen ve etnaformakoljik olarak en çok kullanılan Hypericum perforatum, Hypericaceae familyasına ait bir bitkidir. Bu çalışmada yerli ve ithal H. perforatum sulu ekstraktlarının antioksidan, antimikrobiyal, DNA koruyucu aktiviteleri ve enzim inhibitör özelliklerini değerlendirmeyi amaçladık. Her iki örnek için de toplam fenolik ve flavonoid içerikleri belirlendi. Analiz sonuçları, DHPE (Yerli H. perforatum sulu özüt) ve IHPE (İthal H. perforatum sulu özüt) numuneleri için yüksek fenolik içerikti. Numunelerin diyabetle ilgili temel enzimlere karşı inhibisyon aktivitesi seviyeleri çarpıcıydı; α-glukosidaza gelince, DHPE'nin IC50 değeri 16.35±0.07 µg/mL idi ve IHPE'nin IC50 değeri 15.05±1.36 µg/mL idi, bu da sırasıyla enzimin standart inhibitörünün etkinliğinin neredeyse iki katını temsil ediyor. Suyun elektroliziyle hidrojen üretiminde ekonomik ve etkin elektrokatalizlerin geliştirilmesi oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, nikel nanoparçacıklarla dekore edilmiş indirgenmiş grafen oksit (rGO) bazlı bir elektrokatalizörün basit bir tasarımı anlatılmaktadır. Voltametrik çalışmaların ve hidrojen oluşumu reaksiyonu (HER) kinetiğinin sonuçları, 152 mVdec-1’lık düşük Tafel eğimi ve 0,5 M H2SO4 çözeltisi içinde uzun süreli gösterdiği dayanıklılık (24 saatin üzerinde) ile hazırlanan nanokompozitin, hidrojen üretimi için etkili ve kararlı bir elektrokatalizör olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca karakterizasyon sonuçları, gözenekli/daha yüksek elektroaktif yüzey alanıyla HER aktivitesinin arttığını doğrulamıştır. Elektrokatalitik aktivitedeki dikkate değer artış, yüzey pürüzlülüğünden ve rGO ile Ni nanopartiküller arasındaki kimyasal etkileşmelerin sinerjik etkilerinden kaynaklanmaktadır.
