The study aims to analyse the impact of personality traits on multidimensional organisational commitment of public servants working at the Administrative units and in Public non-business units of the Hanoi People’s Committee in Vietnam. From the data provided by 587 public servants at the Administrative units and Public non-business units, the structural equation model was applied to evaluate the impact of personality traits on three components of organisational commitment. The results showed a positive relationship between conscientiousness, extroversion, and agreeableness with multidimensional organisational commitment. Besides, openness to new experiences and neuroticism are negatively correlated with multidimensional organisational commitment. The result of the study suggests significant implications for Administrative units and Public non-business units of the Hanoi People’s Committee to increase organisational commitment of public servants in the future.

The intention to purchase an electric car can be explained in two ways: the intention to adopt a new technological product, and the intention of green consumption. Based on the theoretical research on customer behavior and a literature review, an analytical framework on the intention of Vietnamese consumers to purchase electric cars is proposed. The framework is developed by integrating the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and the Norm Activation Model (NAM). According to the framework, a consumer’s intention to purchase is influenced by performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating condition, personal norm, and an ascription of responsibility and consequence awareness. Besides contributing a theoretical framework on the consumer’s purchase intention, the article also proposes some suggestions for manufacturers and policymakers in promoting electric cars in the Vietnam market.

The sharing economy has been developing rapidly in the world in recent years. In Vietnam, many businesses have embraced sharing economy models in various industries including tourism, accommodation, transport, finance, and labor… With their developmental potentials, those models have attracted a large number of customers and have stated their market positions. However, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic caused big problems for most companies, including sharing economy models. With technology and digital platforms, those models have both opportunities and challenges. This paper analyzes the negative and positive impacts of the pandemic on some sharing economy models in Vietnam.

Currently, digital transformation is a great need for Vietnamese businesses. To build adigital transformation strategy, they need to have a good understanding of digital economy, digitaltransformation, and digital ecosystem. This paper therefore provides a review of digital economy,digital transformation theories in order to build a concept of digital ecosystem. The paper also studiesthe digital transformation carried out by the Vietnam Electricity Corporation (EVN), identifyingfactors that affect the Corporation’s ecosystem, and ranking those factors in the Corporation’s digitaltransformation, and proposing a basis for the its leaders to build an effective and reasonable digitaltransformation strategy.

It is important to study factors affecting the working motivation of the office staff who work for export wood processing enterprises in Binh Dinh province. The research indicates seven factors that affect the working motivation of those staff members including wages and benefits, working conditions, training and development, relationships with colleagues, leadership style, autonomy in work, and stability in work. In particular, the factors of wages and benefits have the strongest impact. The research results provide an important suggestion for the development of appropriate strategies and plans on human resources in export wood processing enterprises in Binh Dinh province.

It has been over two years since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Various weaknesses of the global economic system that had existed before the pandemic have been exposed, and the need for an innovation system has become prominent. This research is aimed at finding such a system at a smaller scale for a key economic zone. Utilizing the theory of a national innovation system and content analysis method based on publications, the research shows that the Southern Key Economic Region can solve the bottleneck that weakens its pioneering position in the country’s economy by promoting its local innovative start-up ecosystem. The ecosystem is currently at the stage of activation (the earliest level in a four-stage lifecycle of activation, globalization, attraction, and integration). In order to move to the next level of globalization, in parallel with other general policy supports, the region should select some start-up sub-sectors to develop, using public procurement as leverage for start-ups.

At the end of 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic that originated from Wuhan - China has become a serious global problem. China implemented a policy of isolation, social distancing, and mass vaccination among the population, and simultaneously its stock market recorded a remarkable growth in 2020 and 2021. Using the time-series data in the period from January 22, 2020, to March 24, 2021, the method of non-linear autoregressive distributed lags (NARDL) model is used to assess the impact of the pandemic on the Shanghai stock market. The research results show that there has been no impact of the pandemic on the Shanghai stock market both in the short and long terms. As for the impact of cryptocurrencies, there is an impact of cryptocurrencies on the stock market in the short term, specifically, a decrease in the price of the bitcoin-related cryptocurrency has significantly increased the Shanghai stock market. Further, there has been no impact between bitcoin-related cryptocurrencies and the stock market in the long term.

This paper analyzes the aging population in Vietnam and the international experience, thereby assessing the potential challenges to provide new viewpoints and corresponding policies in the coming years. The aging population in Vietnam evolves with a rapid growth rate, even with a higher speed than other economies in the same income group, but is not associated with improved health care services for this particular group of the population. This can result in a lower economic growth rate, an unbalanced social development, and an aged but not rich society. In the future, the aging population needs to be considered as a phenomenon that is harmonious with nature and that goes along with economic development. Thus, some policies are proposed to deal with the aging population including an inclusive income insurance system for aged people, a sound economic policy architecture, and a social consensus on the aging population.

The article focuses on clarifying the factors affecting the intention of students in Business Administration to start up a business based on 300 observations conducted at six universities and two colleges in the city of Hanoi. The research uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to identify and test the influencing factors. The results show that there are 6 factors that positively affect the students’ intention to start up a business, including (1) opinions of people around, (2) perceived feasibility, (3) the higher education learning environment, (4) personal characteristics, (5) access to finance and (6) leadership experience. Based on these results, the group of authors has made recommendations for universities and colleges in the process of training and supporting students to start up a successful business.

The article studies the impact of bank liquidity and bank stock liquidity on the stock price volatility of 17 The article studies the impact of bank liquidity and bank stock liquidity on the stock price volatility of 17 commercial banks listed on the Vietnamese Stock Exchange. The study uses the Random Effect Model with unbalanced table data and quarterly frequency from the first quarter of 2006 to the fourth quarter of 2020. The results show that the financial gap (FGAP) has a positive impact on the stock price volatility of banks, meaning the higher the financial gaps, the lower the bank liquidity, and the larger the stock price volatility of banks. In addition, the study also shows that the size of total assets and the change of exchange rate for the two factors have opposite effects on changes in the share prices of banks. The study has not yet found any evidence to conclude that stock liquidity has an impact on the stock price volatility of the commercial banks listed on the Vietnamese Stock Exchange.
