HMI Development of Derived Products by Model-Driven Prototyping Tool for In-Vehicle System 基于模型驱动原型工具的车载系统衍生产品HMI开发

The number of man-months of HMI (human machine interface) development for embedded systems is increasing because of internationalization. Even though functions of embedded systems such as in-vehicle systems are largely the same for each country, the HMI design has to be customized to specific languages and requirements. For instance, adjusting the width and font of text improves its visibility. However, this creates a new issue regarding HMI design management. We report here on HMI development of derived products, which are assumed to be developed with common functions and customized HMI, by using a model-driven prototyping tool for in-vehicle systems. The prototyping tool we developed is based on open source software including an image editor, Eclipse plug-in, relational database, servlet, and Web browser. In addition, XML for the prototyping tool is defined in order to represent derived product support features. In experiments, this prototyping tool enabled HMI designers of an in-vehicle system to check the HMI design more quickly and easily than in a traditional HMI development process.

Implementation of Integrated Information Sharing System of Food Production, Marketing, and Consumption 食品产销消费一体化信息共享系统的实施

There are many problems in Japanese agriculture, and the most critical thing among these is a rapid decrease in the working population due to a growing proportion of elderly people. The cause of the aging in the agricultural field would be small incomes due to the low agricultural productivity. To improve the income level, the authors have developed an information sharing system of food production, marketing, and consumption, named food CMS (Contents Management System). Food CMS aims to promote proper management of food resources in the whole food supply chain. The types of users in Food CMS are farmers, customers, and distributors including retailing stores, brokers, and restaurants, so Food CMS has the capability to give benefits appropriate to the types of users. Concretely, Food CMS provides services such as the direct relationship-building between a customer and a producer, sales opportunity with e-commerce, freshness management of foods, and rationalization of the order placement and acceptance work between distributors. Since the integrated database of Food CMS can store all distribution data of foods, the data will contribute to adjusting the supply to demand and reducing the food loss. This paper shows the effort the authors have addressed, especially the functional design of Food CMS, and the performance.

A Map Database System for Route Navigation with Multiple Transit Points and Destination Points 多中转站和多目的地路线导航地图数据库系统

This paper presents a map database system for route navigation. The system contains database describing roads, interest points (such as a bus stop, store, etc), and route images. The system also includes an index for efficient processing of the shortest path query. Given a set of candidate destination points and a set of candidate transit points, the system generates an index for shortest path query dynamically. Then, a computer system gets a starting point, and the system makes the shortest path that includes one of the candidate destination points and one of the candidate transit points. The k-shortest path (k-SPT) method is used to evaluate the shortest path query. The original version of k-SPT does not consider multiple number of destination points, then the implementation of k-SPT is modified.

An Approach to the Development of a Game Agent Based on SOM and Reinforcement Learning 基于SOM和强化学习的博弈智能体开发方法

Recently, the researches that create agents which play board games have been studied actively. According to those studies, those agents have abilities that are comparable to the strongest experts. However, it can be said that those agents depend on the computational capability because that abilities of those agents are realized by thousands of lookahead search. On theotherhand, humanbeingshavenoadvantagescomparedwith numerical capability of computers, however, experts sometimes defeat those agents. In contrast to other approaches, our purpose is to create the agent which requires only low computational capability but is strong, like human beings. To realize our aim, we have proposed to develop the agent based on Self-Organizing Maps and reinforcement learning. From the experimental results, the agent learned by MC-learning achieved a 58% winning rate against the adversary program, so that we have succeeded in improving the winning rate over 10%.

Estimation of Passenger Origin-Destination Matrices and Efficiency Evaluation of Public Transportation 公交乘客始发-目的地矩阵估计与效率评价

In analyzing and evaluating the efficiency of a transportation system, origin-destination matrices are important. In this paper, we propose an optimization model to estimate origin-destination matrices. The proposed model is easily handled since it is a convex quadratic optimization model. We validate the proposed model using numerical results from real-world data. In addition, we use our model to evaluate the efficiency of a real-world bus service.

Personalized Recommendation for Public Transportation Using User Context 基于用户情境的公共交通个性化推荐

This paper presents a new application of public transit guide system named PATRASH (Personalized Autonomous TRAansit recommendation System considering user context and History). Although existing transit guide systems provide a lot of functions, their users can not always use all the functions under their control because of the complexity of the functions. Under this situation, we developed and supply PATRASH to reduce complicated user operations. PATRASH provides simple functions users can easily use. The concept of PATRASH is “First Show, Second Search.” PATRASH displays routes and time table information recommended to the users. If they need, they can search another route. The target users of PATRASH are transit riders who come to Ito campus of Kyushu university. Ito campus locates in a rural area and has four routes run by three bus transportation companies and connected to a railroad or a subway. Since the main route usually used by each transit rider seems to be almost determined, we believe personalized function of PATRASH becomes more and more important. To realize the concept of PATRASH and give simple usability to the users, we propose a new 3D adaptive interface and release PATRASH to the public. We also present a preliminal case study of PATRASH project.

A Proposal of Security Requirements Definition Methodology in Connected Car Systems by CVSS V3 基于CVSS V3的网联汽车系统安全需求定义方法建议

The use of connected cars has been spreading recently. Security for connected cars is very important because an attacker can access connected cars remotely. Security requirements defined based on risk assessment are necessary to protect connected cars from attackers. However, the conventional risk assessment technique mostly depends on the evaluator's security knowledge. Therefore, we propose a security requirement definition methodology for connected car systems. The proposed methodology is based on the security requirements definition methodology in IoT (Internet of Things) systems, which consists of four processes: modelization of target system, definition of security problems, consideration of security requirements, and decision of security function components. We applied the methodology in IoT systems to connected car systems. In particular, the risk assessment, which is executed to define security problems, uses CVSS v3 which was released in 2015. We can assess the risk of connected car systems objectively by using the base metrics of CVSS v3.

In this paper, we propose a privacy-aware user tracking system which traces users by their footprints. Tracking by footprints could reduce discomfort for privacy-sensitive users compared with the use of face recognition by cameras in existing tracking systems, since a footprint is weakly identifiable personal information, i.e., it cannot directly identify a specific individual. In this context, the proposed system is said to be privacy-aware. In the proposed tracking system, the footprint data are collected from spatially disjoint pressure sensor sheets put on significant locations in a target area. The trajectory of a specific user is estimated by extracting a sequence of sensor sheets that can observe the footprint of the user. The main task to be handled in the system is to recognize correspondence between footprints measured across multiple pressure sensor sheets. Moreover, we have conducted a basic evaluation to confirm the feasibility of the proposed system. The result shows that it can distinguish users by 94%.

Estimating the Benefits of Food Agriculture Education Promotion in Taiwan 台湾粮食农业教育推广之效益评估

The local consumption has become popular in each unit in recent years as the food self-support level is low and food problems emerge in endlessly in Taiwan. However, the cognition and the consuming intention of people to domestic agricultural products are often inconsistent due to the incomplete information. The promotion of "food and farming education" is an urgent policy in order to sufficiently know related knowledge and correct value. The study uses the contingent valuation method (CVM) to evaluate the willingness-to-pay of people to the promotion of "food and farming education" so as to increase the information cognition and sufficiency of people to local farm products. The expected research result shows that consumers from the farmers' market or the homemakers union have the highest willingness-to-pay in promotion of food and farming education. The food and farming education will affect the food selections, attitudes and consuming behaviors of people, and reduce the insecurity caused by food safety problems.

File System Backup to Object Storage for On-Demand Restore 文件系统备份到对象存储,按需恢复

A new backup method, which achieves on-demand restore as part of file system backup to object storage, is proposed. On-demand restore is a function that restores only a certain directory or file according to the request from an end user. The proposed method backs up relationships between a file and an object on a directory basis in order to efficiently handle the relationships in the restore. It is experimentally shown that the proposed method reduces the response time of file access involving restore by over an order of magnitude.
