The last energy crisis manifested itself as a rise in electricity prices and an increase in the profits of energy companies. Profits in the energy sector last year were expected to be 150 percent higher than in 2021. In 2021, electricity prices increased by 170% compared to the previous year. In 2022, however 150% against the previous year. Therefore, the end users felt the energy crisis as an increase in their energy costs. The state can only protect small consumers from usury by regulating the permitted prices. Medium and large consumers must understand the operation of the energy exchange and conclude contracts with traders that take advantage of the futures contracts and daily spot trading. To intelligently buy energy on the power exchange, which means buying at the lowest possible prices, customers must be able to predict energy prices on the power exchange and predict their energy consumption. In the article, we present medium-term price forecast on the HUPX exchange for 2023. We also explain the tools for short-term price forecasting for 14 days.

The increased volume of initiatives and investments in the framework of smart cities, as well as strong investments in AI/ML technology together with the IoT industry, undoubtedly represent the future of practical activities and the implementation of new generation technological solutions in cities. By analyzing the previous literature and related works, in the field of smart waste management solutions, the focus of research was placed on isolated problems at lower levels of technology implementation on individual subsystems with individual environments. The purpose of this paper is to emphasize the need for a systematic integrated approach in the process of designing a model of practical application of technology to solve the problem of waste management in cities with a special aspect on business processes and the end user. The paper presents an analysis of related works and commercial solutions implemented so far and proposes a practical implementation model that, among other things, includes a component of a higher level of abstraction that should perform an additional iteration of the AI/ML process and make a final decision in the prediction process and controls in smart waste management solutions.

Given the amount of digital information currently being produced, we must address the issue of future accessibility of stored digital objects and take the appropriate steps to meaningfully protect our digital heritage for future generations. Emulators play an important role in addressing this challenge. This paper presents the possibility of emulating the Commodore 64 computer system on modern operating systems. The state of Commodore 64 system emulation is examined and an overview of the implementation of such an emulator is given. A set of 5 Commodore 64 emulators is tested using 4 test cases, focusing on system load and emulation accuracy. The test methodology is explained and the results are presented. Conclusions about the requirements and quality of Commodore 64 system emulation were drawn from the results.

Many different methods are used for generating blackbox test case suites. Test case minimization is used for reducing the feasible test case suite size in order to minimize the cost of testing while ensuring maximum fault detection. This paper presents an optimization of the existing test case minimization algorithm based on forward-propagation of the cause-effect graphing method. The algorithm performs test case prioritization based on test case strength, a newly introduced test case selection metric. The optimized version of the minimization algorithm was evaluated by using thirteen different examples from the available literature. In cases where the existing algorithm did not generate the minimum test case subsets, significant improvements of test effect coverage metric values were achieved. Test effect coverage metric values were not improved only in cases where maximum optimization was already achieved by using the existing algorithm.

In this study, the implementation of Free Route Airspace (FRA) in Europe is presented, with special reference to the merge of SECSI FRA (South East Common Sky Initiative Free Route Airspace) and FRA IT(Free Route Airspace in Italy) in to the SECSI IT FRA. Free Route Airspace is a certain volume of airspace in which users are free to plan a route between defined entry and exit points. Depending on the availability of airspace, routing is possible via waypoints, without calling the Air Traffic Service (ATS) route network. The purpose of this paper is to show how the implementation of free route airspace in Europe, affects traffic indicators in terms of flight length, fuel consumption, environmental impact and economy. This paper will also show a slight decrease in air traffic controller load as a result of the implementation of free route airspace. We also wanted to show how, the merge of SECSI FRA and FRA IT, affects Bosnia and Herzegovina airspace. When fully implemented at European level, it should allow the following savings, compared to the current situation: 1 billion nautical miles in terms of flight length, 6 million tons of fuel savings, and 5 billion euros less costs in in terms of fuel savings.

The optimal deadlock avoiding, deadlock recovery, as well as deadlock detection in Petri nets are the NP-hard problems. For this reason, heuristic algorithms for finding the approximate solutions of such problems are of a great interest. In the paper a heuristic method of deadlock recovery for the S3PR nets, which are often used for modelling of manufacturing systems, is proposed. The method is based on the idea of resetting the process instances in the S3PR nets and a heuristic for breaking the cycles in the wait-for graphs. The method does not require any time consuming operations such as construction of the reachability graph, explicit detecting of all reachable deadlocks or all elementary cycles in a wait-for graph, hence it is quick. The simple recovery transitions are added to the net providing recovery from both global and local deadlocks.

The paper presents the most recent achievements in developing AMADEOS - the first online web-based tool aimed at business process model-driven database design. The preexisting AMADEOS was able only to derive an initial conceptual database model automatically, while other design phases were not supported. The most recent development efforts resulted in the complete coverage of the database design process, from conceptual model to physical database, by using the standard UML notation.

The technical and technological development of railway traffic also includes the application of innovative technologies of electronic business. The European Train Control System (ETCS) involves the application of digitized systems that are entirely based on computer technologies. Such systems are susceptible to attacks by other persons where security is compromised. The research in this paper involves the analysis of ETCS: system technology, communication method and equipment with the devices used. Special attention is paid to real attacks that happened in the recent past. Based on the analysis of data transmission, the aim of the work is to indicate the increase in the safety of railway traffic on high-speed lines with a proposal for measures for improvement.

The worldwide markets have made progress with the adoption of Light Emitting Diode (LED) and improving lighting efficiency. LED lamps are considered one of the common non-linear loads that cause harmonic emissions injected into the distribution system, especially with extensive usages that usually occur in residential areas. This paper produces a power quality study for 32 low-wattage LED lamps collected from the Hungarian markets. The study focuses on the effect of the supplied voltage variety in terms of various voltage magnitudes for 0.9, 0.95, 1, 1.05, and 1.1 Per Unit (p.u.) on the tested lamps. The study compares the current waveform shapes of the tested lamps under pure sinusoidal and regular flat-top voltage. Also, harmonic distortion, fundamental active power, and fundamental reactive power values are measured, collected, and calculated for each lamp using MATLAB software tools.
