The article discusses aspects of sustainable development of the ecosystem of the region on the basis of a value-oriented approach declaring the provision of economic and social value. It is proved that the implementation of the sustainable development goals of the regions requires consideration of intersectoral processes to ensure policy coherence. A critical analysis of the approaches used in Russian and foreign practice to classify and evaluate regions according to the level of socio-economic development is carried out. The models of regional ecosystem management are proposed taking into account the imperatives of sustainable development, factors and indicators that determine the economic and social value of the equilibrium development of the ecosystem of the region are indicated.

The article analyzes the problems of legal regulation of the provision and conservation of geological diversity in geoparks of the Russian Federation. Some issues of the legal regime of geoparks, the role of the local population in the development of geological objects located on the territory of geoparks, and the preservation of the geological heritage in these territories are investigated. The thesis is revealed that the high level of geological diversity of the Russian Federation makes it difficult to develop specific criteria related to the actions and extent of the conservation of the geological heritage in Russia. The issue of geological conservation in Geoparks is an unresolved issue. Available legal and administrative instruments can suggest ways to develop geological conservation, as well as the proper application of strategies related to planning processes for the use of Geopark resources.

The article analyzes the situation in the field of domestic higher education, which arose in connection with the sanctions policy of Western countries and the end of the participation of Russian universities in the Bologna process, which marks the progress towards a single space of higher education. The article reveals the provision that the educational space, like any space created by the efforts of people and supported by their active participation, is part of a wider communicative space and is a product of a communicative culture. In the university environment, this culture has deep roots and adheres to the traditions built on their basis. The authors identify the stages of the formation of this culture and give detailed characteristics of each of them.

The article examines the models characteristic of modern political governance in Russian regions. The authors proceed from the fact that the key subjects of the management process are governors, each of whom chooses a certain positioning model and builds his own image based on this. It is concluded that the regional management model today is more often determined by the subjective qualities of the head than by the objective circumstances of the existence of the region.

Corruption offences are socially dangerous in today's global context because they violate the principles of uncompensated public administration and market competition and create the basis for the development of a "shadow economy". Companies, especially in regions with high levels of corruption, are often not immune to corruption offences, for example, they may engage in commercial bribery to achieve their business goals. The aim of the study is to examine the impact of corruption offences on the economic activities of a company and to assess their consequences for its further development. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the assessment of the effect of legal sanctions for corruption offences (consequences of imposing fines, reputational costs) and justification of the need to implement anti-corruption compliance in the activities of business entities.

The article presents the results of a study of the economic foundations of social entrepreneurship. Special attention in the process of studying is paid to the comparative analysis of key aspects of various types of activities in the business environment. The main stakeholders in the activities of social enterprises are also identified with the allocation of specific resulting indicators. The interest of the state in the development of these forms of entrepreneurial economic activity and forms of support for small and medium-sized businesses and socially oriented non-profit organizations is revealed. To identify the economic nature of the analyzed enterprises, their main activities are considered, a comparative analysis of key aspects in the business environment is carried out. The article analyzes labor productivity in the construction industry in the subjects of the Volga Federal District. It is revealed that the level of labor productivity by the type of economic activity "Construction" lags behind the average industry indicators. Also, in most regions of the Volga Federal District, labor productivity in the construction industry lags behind the average Russian values of the indicator. The identified problems of the development of the industry indicate the need to search for reserves for the growth of labor productivity in the subjects of the Volga Federal District.
