In this paper, we set a multi-objective mathematical model for feed formula optimal problem, propose a new MOPSO-based feed formula optimal method. A global selection method of particle and a dominance-principle are presented. Simulation results show that the new algorithm can give us more satisfactory results and a set of solution. A new method for solving complicated problem about feed formula optimization is provided.

Automatic Chinese Term Extraction is an important issue in Natural Language Processing. This paper has proposed a new method to extract terms from open corpus. We have used two improved traditional parameters: mutual information and log-likelihood ratio, and have increased the precision of the method to 75.4%. The results of the research indicate that this method is more efficient and robust than previous term-extraction methods.

In this paper, we introduce the parallel mechanism to the Differential Evolution (DE). Differential Evolution algorithm suffers from the problem that individuals gather in a single point and cannot escape the basin of a local optimum. We propose the parallel processing as a solution to this problem. Parallel processing helps DE maintain more than one best individual (attractor). Different attractors help DE expand its search towards various directions. We name our approach a differential evolution algorithm processed in the parallel fashion (P-DE). P-DE, when compared with the original DE in various test problems, exhibits its superior performance.

Aiming at the Cache coherence problem that brings by multiple processor cores of CMP(Chip multiprocessors) sharing the single memory space, this paper introduces a new kind of Cache coherence--CSC(Coherence with SC-Cache) based on write-through and write-back mechanism, which contains SC-Cache (Shared Coherence Cache) module. Experiments show that the protocol reduces the number of bus transactions, to a certain extent improves the efficiency of processor data access.

Web search engines have become one of the absolutely necessary tools for us in the use of the Internet. They are receiving keen appreciation from the broad masses of network users because of the ability of quick search and the navigation service. However, the current used search engines do not take the actual situation and actual need of users into account, users may meet the topic drift problems in the searching process. Based on the PageRank algorithm, taking the human factor into consideration, we introduce page belief recommendation mechanism and bring forward a balanced rank algorithm based on PageRank and page belief recommendation. This algorithm attaches importance into the subjective needs of the users, it can effectively avoid topic drift problems.

Cell antenna cooperative strategy might have more realizable, more fairness and more potential capacity than multi-user cooperative diversity. However, different from multi-user diversity, the fading of each Cell-antenna is obviously independent and non-identically distribution for any mobile user, it is hard to get an optimal scheduling strategy directly by a gen-eral closed expression. In this paper, we investigate the performance of multi-antenna selective cooperative strategy based on the cooperative Cell, the equal power transfer and the equal gain receive combining methods that are suboptimal but practical. The theoretic and Monte Carlo simulation analysis show that for the mobile node with only one antenna, the traditional handover strategy is the best one, but for the node with multi-antenna the suboptimal multi-antenna selection could improve the outage capacity obviously than the traditional cell by cell handover strategy.

Social tagging systems such as Facebook, YouTube, del.icio.us, Flickr become popular recent years and have achieved widespread success. State-of-art user modeling approaches in tagging systems usually use a vector of weighted tags. Unfortunately, typical user modeling methods using a vector of weighted tags which are based on personal view only and ignore the social view, have some inherent drawbacks. As in a social network like collaborative tagging system, it is subjective and incomplete to profile using only personal view. In this paper, a novel approach applying association rules is proposed to extend user profiles from the social view. The enriched user profile is a harvest from both personal view and social view. Algorithms of personalized recommendations for tags and items are presented. Also experimental results of using the profile we proposed are discussed.

one of the basic characteristics in human problem solving is the ability to conceptualize the world at different granularities and translate from one abstraction level to the others easily, i.e., the ability of multi-granular computing. The proposed quotient space theory is intended to provide a multi-granular computing model. The traditional single-granular computing methodology usually confronts with high computational complexity when dealing with complex problems. The main aim of multi-granular computing is intended to reduce the computational complexity. By using the quotient space model, we show in what conditions the multi-granular computing could reduce the computational complexity. Based on the quotient space model, the characteristics of the top-down hierarchical problem solving are discussed. The process actually implies the idea of extenics. Extension method is mainly used to solve contradictory problems by transformations of matter-elements. So we integrate extension method with theory of quotient space to solve some complicated problems in artificial intelligence system, and set up an extension-based quotient space computing model. The result shows this method is quite valuable.

Aiming at difficulty modeling of large amounts of industrial process data, a novel soft sensor model based on artificial immune agent-based multiple model Radial Basis Function (RBF) networks is proposed in this paper. The method is to predict the qualities of manufactured products of Crude Oil Tower. In the IMMST-Team system, some biological immune based operation and learning rules which can efficiently cluster the large amounts of data samples and adapt RBF submodels structure and parameter are established. Individuals in the immune system work cooperatively to accomplish the goal of model training. Meenwhile, immune memory and pattern recognition provide high efficiency of predicting. The prediction of dry point of naphtha produced in a practical industrial process is carried out as a case study. The results obtained indicate that the proposed method provides quality prediction with high efficiency and accuracy, which is capable of learning the relationships between process variables measured during the production cycle.
