Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) is expansively using internet to promote destination Zimbabwe, few studies have been conducted to assess the effectiveness of ZTA website. The study applied the ICTRT (Information, Communication, Transaction, Relationship and Technical Merit) model the same as proposed by Li and Wang to evaluate the effectiveness of Zimbabwe Tourism Authority website through content analysis by expert evaluators. The objective of the research was to evaluate the effectiveness of ZTA website and investigate its functional features. The objective was achieved by content analysis of the website regarding its five functions (ICTRT) by expert evaluators. The results indicated that ZTA website was averagely effective and more on information and communication. The website is not effective on complex and sophisticated functions like transactions and relationship management. Website complexity was found to be the major determinant of effectiveness. Conclusion and recommendations were provided based on research findings and expert knowledge to improve the effectiveness of ZTA website.

Food service involves customer quality control in helping to create a meal experience and service value. However, this is not the case as service failures are more often experienced due to challenges faced in the management of hospitality’s restaurant food service. The variability nature of services has compromised food service quality in addition to a myriad of both internal and external glitches. The purpose of this paper was therefore to provide a literature review in to customer quality control on restaurant food and beverage service, with the objective of identifying customer quality control factors. The Resourceful Evaluation Maximizers Model (REMM) as well as the Pain Avoidance Model (PAM) was applied in explaining the customer quality control function in hospitality’s restaurant business. In view of the literature review on this study, the motivating factors in the customer quality control include: tipping, on-the-spot customer complaints feedback as well as customer satisfaction surveys. The study explores these three factors in relation to their contribution to food service quality control mechanisms within the hospitality’s restaurant business. However, the study recommends both research surveys as well as experiments to back up this review.

The purpose of the paper is to bring into spotlight the utility of tourism as a potential tool in providing an alternative means of livelihood without hampering the cultural values and the natural environment of a place. It also point out the difference in characteristics between mass and alternative tourism and the suitability of the latter in the context of Meghalaya where the tourism resource base is dependent on nature and culture. Thirdly, the paper cites the potential tourism attributes or resources that the state has been bestowed that need to be tapped cautiously for ensuring a sustainable development. Fourthly, the paper highlights the trend of tourist arrival in the state in the last more than one decade and finally the paper also sought to venture out ideas to overcome the challenges due to fragility of resource base, lack of community participation and seasonality impact.

This study attempts to determine the overall satisfaction factors from airline passengers at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO), using the classification method of random forest. The analysis is based on the 2014 annual survey conducted by SFO that collects data on passenger demographics and satisfaction with airport facilities and services. Results of this study indicate that some service attributes are more important than others for passengers’ overall satisfaction at SFO. Study results are expected to provide practical insights to the airport industry. This study, in addition, introduces the machine learning method of random forest to tourism research.
