Abstract This article focuses on the current trends in accommodation industry development in European countries through the study of satisfaction with tourists’ increasing demand for accommodation. The total number of tourist nights spent at accommodation establishments continues to increase. Nevertheless, the growth of this indicator is significantly different across both regions and accommodation activity types. Moreover, the decrease in the number of tourist nights spent due to the impact of crises and destructive factors also varies. Based on the results of a data analysis of the Eurostat online database, we found that the number of beds at the accommodation establishments is not a key factor that determines the number of tourist nights spent. This finding represents the importance for the development strategy of considering not only the capacity of accommodation establishments, but also the variety of accommodation activity types. The data analysis of some countries’ cases points out that even a less robust accommodation industry has opportunities to develop in a difficult and uncertain period. This study result has practical applications in an effective development strategy particularly in a time of crisis.

Abstract This study aimed to clarify the relationship between economic growth and tourism revenue in the Algerian economy. It focused on the relationship between economic growth, real exchange rate, and tourism receipts. This investigation is intended to fill a gap in the empirical literature on the tourism sector in developing countries. It used the autoregressive distributed lag model adopted from 1990 through 2019. The relationship between economic growth, tourism receipts, and real exchange rate in Algeria is a unidirectional causality relationship; and the tourism receipts and the real exchange rate affect the economy in the short and long term. In terms of long-term equilibrium, there was a positive but nonsignificant impact of tourism receipts on economic growth. At the same time, there was no significant effect of the real exchange rate on economic growth. In the short term, there was a positive and significant impact of tourism receipts lag on economic growth. A positive and significant impact of the second difference lag of the real exchange rate was found. Algerian decision-makers can benefit from these findings when developing the tourism sector. Abstract This research was conducted to determine the relationship between environmental sensitivity, ecological attitude, and ecological product purchasing behaviour of tourists. Within the scope of the research, a survey was conducted on foreign tourists who visited Manavgat, Turkey. The Smart PLS program was used to determine the relationships among the variables. According to the results of the research, it has been determined that tourists’ environmental sensitivity has a strong effect on their ecological attitude and their behaviour in purchasing ecological products. Moreover, ecological attitude plays a mediating role in the relationship between environmental sensitivity and ecological product purchasing behaviour. Many suggestions are offered to the academicians, business managers in the sector, and destination management organisations at the end of the study.

Destination image is the sum of the perceptions of tourists about any place. Bibliometrics, on the other hand, evaluates scientific studies in terms of quantity and quality. With bibliometric analysis, it is possible to examine the development process of any field from past to present. In this direction, it is important to examine the concept of destination image with bibliometric analysis. The aim of this study is to examine postgraduate theses on destination image from a bibliometric perspective. For this purpose, 85 postgraduate theses on destination image published in the database of the National Thesis Center were examined in line with some bibliometric indicators. Qualitative research method was used in the study, and content analysis was used as a data collection technique. In the analysis of the data obtained in the research, maxquda qualitative data analysis program was used. According to the research findings, it was concluded that the most postgraduate thesis on destination image was published in 2020, the concept of behavioral intention was studied together with the destination image frequently, the postgraduate theses were generally the subject of Istanbul, and the most postgraduate theses were prepared in Gazi University.

Gastronomi turizmine olan ilginin giderek artmasıyla beraber, turistler tarafından yöresel yemekler, daha fazla talep görmeye başlamıştır. Turistlerin değişen talepleri doğrultusunda, yöresel ürünlerin tanıtımı ve üretim yerlerinin artması kaçınılmaz hale gelmiştir. Günümüzde birçok şehrimiz kendi yörelerine ait mutfak kültürlerini turistlerin ihtiyacına sunarak, hem destinasyonlarının tanınmasını hem de ürünlerinin pazarlanmasını sağlamaktadır. Çalışmamızda ise, Erzincan ili destinasyonun yöresel mutfak kültürünün, vejetaryen mutfak kültüründe kullanılabilecek yöresel yemekleri incelenmiş ve Erzincan mutfağında bulunan vejetaryen yemekleri ön plana çıkarılarak yörsel ürünlerin pazarlanmasına, tanınmasına ve turizmin gelişmesine katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmamızda nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından, yazılı ve doküman inceleme yöntemi seçilmiş, yazı temelli olan dokümanlar incelenmiştir. Ayrıca fotoğraflarla birlikte yemek tarifleri ve yapılışları ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Erzincan yöresel yemeklerinin birçoğunun, vejetaryen beslenmesine uygun olduğu görülmüştür. Fakat Erzincan ilinde yöresel yemek yapan restoranların çok az bulunması, turistlere yönelik üretimin yapılmaması, vejetaryen mutfağına ilginin neredeyse hiç olmaması şehrin kayıpları arasında olduğu söylenebilir.

Açık alan rekreasyonu özellikle pandemi sonrası önemli bir konu haline gelirken, ingilizce karşılığı “outdoor rekreasion” olarak dünya literatüründe yer almaktadır. Sürdürülebilir açık alan rekreasyonunu ile doğal kaynakların bilinçli kullanımının yaygınlaştırılması sayesinde bu faaliyetlerinin yapısından kaynaklanan istenmeyen etkilerin minimize edilmesi mümkün olmaktadır. Çalışmada temel olarak, uluslararası yazında açık alan rekreasyonu ve sürdürülebilirlik kavramlarını beraber kullanan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analiz yöntemine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla 15 Nisan 2022 tarihinde Scopus veri tabanında 1986-2022 yılları arasında yapılmış çalışmalar ayrı parametrelere göre özet bir görünüm ortaya koyabilmek için incelenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmalarda, “yayın yılı, yazarlar, konu alanları, kurumlar, ülkeler, anahtar kelimeler ve kaynaklar” incelenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Scopus veri tabanından elde edilen bibliyografik veriler VOSviewer bibliyografik analiz programına aktarılarak “ortak yazarlılık” (Co-Authorship) ve “birlikte bulunma” (Co-occurrence) analizleri yapılmıştır. Analizlerde, VOSviewer programında her bir parametreye karşılık gelen, bağlantı gücü yüksek kavramlar üzerine haritalandırma yapılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen bibliyografik analiz sonucunda elde edilen bulgulardan, açık alan rekreasyonu ve sürdürülebilirlik konularına ilişkin uluslararası literatürdeki çalışmaların gelişimi değerlendirilerek, gelecekte yapılacak çalışmalara ışık tutulmaya çalışılmıştır.

Türkiye yükseköğretiminde rekreasyon eğitimi, Spor Bilimleri Fakülteleri/Yüksekokulları bünyesinde rekreasyon ve Turizm Fakülteleri bünyesinde ise rekreasyon yönetimi isimleri ile iki farklı kurumsal çatı ve iki farklı disipliner yaklaşımla verilmektedir. 2000’li yıllardan itibaren her iki kurumsal çatı altında farklı isimde açılmaya başlanan bölüm sayısı, 2020-2021 öğretim yılı itibarı öğrenci kabul eden bölüm esasına göre toplam 49’a ulaşmıştır. Birbirinden farklı iki kurumsal çatı altında faaliyet gösteren rekreasyon ve rekreasyon yönetimi bölümlerinden mezun olan öğrencilerin her ikisi de rekreasyon uzmanı unvanını elde etmektedirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı, iki farklı kurumsal çatının aynı uzmanlığa hizmet eden öğretim programlarını karşılaştırarak, program çıktılarına dayalı olarak unvan becerileri arasındaki farkı ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada tamsayım biçiminde, Türkiye’de lisans düzeyinde örgün öğretimde öğrenci kabul eden farklı üniversitelerdeki lisans düzeyinde 49 adet Rekreasyon ile Rekreasyon Yönetimi bölümlerini kapsamaktadır. Nitel araştırma deseni olan doküman incelemesi ile gerçekleştirilmiş çalışmada, söz konusu her iki isimdeki bölümlerin web sayfaları üzerinden ulaşılan öğretim programları kapsamında farklı becerilere hizmet eden dersler sekiz başlıkta gruplandırılmış ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi yöntemi ile gruplar arası dağılım farklarına ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre, aynı unvanı alan iki farklı başlıktaki öğretim programları arasında dersler baz alınarak, bilgi ve beceriyi etkileyen oldukça yüksek derecede farklılıklar olduğu saptanmıştır.

The research aims to provide a bibliometric analysis of research in the field of beverage tourism. For this purpose, the document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. The scope of the research consists of articles, conference papers and book chapters about beverage tourism. In this direction, articles, conference papers and book chapters written in the fields of beverage tourism related to beverage tourism, until 2022, were examined. The studies retrieved within the scope of the study were subjected to bibliometric analysis on the basis of various parameters based on the type of study. The results of the analysis show that the first study on beverage tourism was carried out twenty-two years ago, and there has been an increase after 2008. On the other hand, it is observed that the majority of studies in this field are published as articles and book chapters, while conference papers are scarce.

The main aim of this study is to investigate the effect of tourism academicians' perception of social comparison and intra-organizational competition on organizational envy and being envied. The universe of the research includes academicians working in tourism-related departments of higher education public institutions in Turkey. The academics who were reached with the judgmental sampling method and participated in the survey form the sample of the research. Within the scope of the research, an online questionnaire form was prepared on Google Forms and applied between 12-27 April 2022. The questionnaire form was sent to the academicians via e-mail and 283 academicians participated. Explanatory factor analysis was performed to determine the validity of the scales used, correlation analysis was performed to explain the relationships between the variables, and regression analysis was performed to determine the effect levels between the variables. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that there is a positive, significant but weak relationship between both social comparison and intra-organizational competition perception and organizational envy and being envy. In other words, as the perceptions of social comparison and intra-organizational competition of tourism academicians increase, organizational envy or being envy feelings increase.
