The article considers twoplot plans in B. Shaw’s one-act and multi-act plays of different periods with a political content. The concepts of “plan of reality” and “plan of irreality” are introduced in B. Shaw’s dramatic legacy. It is shown that extravagance can be present in both plans, as well as the fact that a number of B. Shaw’s dramas contain the same features of extravaganza plays and are extravaganzas in their pure form, unlike the plays that have separate extravaganza elements.
