This practical study explores the shared challenges faced by individuals managing chronic health conditions and entrepreneurs within the context of post-crisis periods, focusing on diversity, innovation, and individual empowerment. The aim is to develop a theoretical framework elucidating the mechanisms behind these challenges and their implications for fostering diversity, social innovation, and sustainability. Methodologically, an integrative approach was employed, drawing upon insights from psychology, sociology, health management, and entrepreneurship literature to conduct a comprehensive analysis. The research utilized mixed methods, including scoping reviews and qualitative analysis of virtual communities, to uncover the dynamic mechanisms that drive empowerment. This approach not only validated the theoretical framework but also proposed practical strategies to harness diversity, innovation, and entrepreneurship in post-crisis contexts. By drawing on the social exchange theory, this paper suggests a mediation model to examine the role of workplace happiness (i.e., work engagement, job satisfaction, and affective organizational commitment) in the relationship between inclusive leadership and Gen Z employee adaptive performance. Data were collected from 305 Gen Z employees in the Greek telecommunications industry and their supervisors in three sequential phases. The research findings suggest that workplace happiness partially mediates the relationship between inclusive leadership and Gen Z employee adaptive performance. The results indicate that should leaders and managers manage to positively influence Gen Z employees’ work engagement and job satisfaction by employing inclusive strategies and procedures, they will increase their adaptive performance during change. Relevant suggestions are made.

As a discipline with an expansive and intricate landscape, the field of judgment and decision-making (JDM) has evolved significantly since the beginning of the 2020s. The extensive and intricate nature of this field might pose challenges for scholars and researchers in designing course content and curricula as well as in defining research boundaries. Several techniques from a bibliometric study, such as co-word analysis and co-citation analysis, can provide insights into the scopes and directions of the field. Previous bibliometric studies on the psychology of JDM have primarily analyzed published documents restricted either by content areas or by journal outlets. The present study attempts to analyze a collection of published documents with broad search terms (i.e., “judgment*” or “decision mak*”) within the purview of the psychology subject area, separately by years of publication (from 2020 to 2022) using the bibliometrix package in the R environment. The most relevant journals and the most frequent keywords have suggested established areas of study, uncovering common themes, patterns, and trends. Beyond that, two science mapping techniques (i.e., keyword co-occurrence network and reference co-citation network) revealed 12 prominent themes that cut across the three-year period. These themes, alongside other intellectually stimulating issues, were discussed based on a comparison with outstanding book chapters and reviews. Implications for pedagogical purposes were also provided with a handful of notable resources.

The transformation and upgrading of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) need to align with global industrial development trends and can further assist SMEs in sustainable operation. In recent years, major industrial countries, such as Germany, China, and the United States, have promoted policies like Industry 4.0 or advanced manufacturing as part of their national manufacturing transformation strategies. In contrast, how SMEs follow these global industrial development trends and effectively apply new technologies hinges on internal knowledge management and organizational learning. To achieve the benefits of new technology implementation, enterprises must establish an effective knowledge management and organizational learning mechanism and promotion practices. The Taiwanese government has also adopted Industry 4.0 as an essential tool for assisting the transformation and upgrading of SMEs. Therefore, this study surveyed 129 SMEs in the Taiwanese metal industry, using a one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis to explore the impact of the internal promotion of knowledge management and organizational learning on the introduction of Industry 4.0 and the enhancement in competitiveness. The results of this study indicate that the promotion of knowledge management and organizational learning contributes to the effective adoption of Industry 4.0 and the enhancement in competitiveness, showing significant correlations between these factors. Thus, the findings can serve as a reference for other partner countries.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and the resurgence of the Middle East conflict, government measures to support the economy have intervened massively in economic activity and thus influenced the real insolvency situation. This situation creates disruptive conditions in insolvency counselling and requires comprehensive risk management for the strategic safeguarding of internal processes in insolvency counselling companies. Despite a number of academic articles that address a lack of risk awareness in insolvency counselling, there have been no valid statistical surveys on this topic to date. The topic has also been largely ignored in practice. This article presents a study that examines risk management in insolvency advisory companies in the context of government intervention in the global economy from 2020 to 2023. The aim of the research is to assess the necessity and existence of risk management in these companies. A survey of 350 insolvency advisors was conducted between March and April 2024, from which 113 complete data sets could be analysed. The central hypothesis of the research study is that a significant majority of insolvency advisory companies have insufficient risk awareness and do not implement comprehensive risk management strategies. The survey results confirm that risk management is rarely practised and that a well-founded risk awareness is lacking in most consulting companies. It is noteworthy that two-thirds of those surveyed consider the benefits of risk management to be low, although more than half of those surveyed recognise increased risks due to government crisis measures. Ultimately, this study concludes with a recommendation that a standardised EU insolvency regulation could offer the greatest benefits for the insolvency sector, as it would simplify risk management for consultants in all member states.

This article introduces a new theoretical concept, the “foreign champion”, which attempts to solve the principal–agent problem and improve academic understanding of foreign market entry decisions by analyzing what experts in the field consider to be best practices. Based on empirical research into the determinants of SME internationalization success, semi-structured interviews (n = 12, t = 5 h 10 min.) were conducted with industry experts, including one academic, government officials, chamber and association leaders, a venture capitalist, and several CEOs, and key testimonies were studied using qualitative analysis software. The results shed light on effective internationalization strategies and common market entry mistakes. Despite the perception of saturation, the prominence of the experts, and the large sample, there may be limitations, such as not covering several regions. The originality of this study lies in its conceptual framework, the insights gained from the select interviews, and a new concept of foreign market entry.

Studies on creative accounting date back to the latter part of the 20th century. Creative accounting is still a big challenge in financial accounting. The problem of financial statement manipulation might be investigated, for instance, from an accounting, legal, ethical, or psychological perspective. This research aims to identify the main motives for the use of creative accounting and to find out whether corporate culture has an impact on the motives leading to the use of creative accounting. Data collection took place from 18 November 2023 to 18 December 2022. In the research, we used Pearson’s χ2 test to determine the dependence of the studied variables in contingency tables. Subsequently, correspondence analysis was used. The type of corporate culture does not have an impact on the motives that lead to creative accounting. It was proven that the type of corporate culture has an impact on the performance of creative accounting actions based on the request of a senior employee. The uniqueness of the research lies in the investigation of creative accounting from a psychological and managerial point of view in the territory of the Slovak Republic.

The outcome of this study identifies opportunities for leveraging artificial intelligence in the employee recruitment process within corporate settings. Drawing from an analysis of 681 studies from Scopus and Web of Science databases, a comprehensive dataset was curated using scientometric networks with VOSviewer and Bibliometrix tools. This study emphasizes the evolving nature of ESG integration within banking, emphasizing an interdisciplinary shift encompassing environmental, social, and governance considerations. Keyword analysis reveals emerging trends, including the influence of ESG factors on banks’ financial performance, regional variations in ESG integration within banking, and risk assessment related to ESG factors and credit risk in banks. By offering insights into the evolving topic of ESG integration within banking and identifying promising avenues for further exploration, such as the fundamental connection between ESG and sustainability, particularly in climate change and green finance, this research contributes to ongoing discussions surrounding ESG integration in the banking industry, guiding future research efforts in this vital financial sector.

This study aimed to study the association between organizational attractiveness, intrinsic motivation, perceived novelty, trust in the process, and the intention to apply, engage, and finish an artificial intelligence recruitment and selection process. It was also tested whether having already had the experience of having been involved in a recruitment and selection process using artificial intelligence moderated these relationships. The sample for this study consisted of 299 participants. The results indicate that organizational attractiveness and perceived novelty are positively and significantly associated with applying to, getting involved in, and completing the recruitment and selection process using artificial intelligence for participants aged between 45 and 54. For participants aged between 35 and 44, trust in the process significantly affects their intention to apply to, get involved in, and complete the recruitment and selection process using artificial intelligence. Intrinsic motivation did not prove to be a significant predictor of the intention to apply to, get involved in, and complete the recruitment and selection process using artificial intelligence.
