The technical systems installed in the territory show the modernization processes affecting financial activity in Argentina. From the key variables of the time - information, finance and consumer - finance capital transcends the banking sphere and is involved in everyday life of most of society. The territorial divisions of labor that exist in the cities can be understood from the theoretical approach proposed by Santos (1975, 1979) about the circuits of the urban economy in underdeveloped countries. Such circuits are generated by the same process of technological modernization, but are distinguished by three elements: the level of technology, capital employed and the type of organization. The financial system of credit is an activity of the higher circuit that finds new ways to spread in the territory. The aim of this paper is to analyze non-banks that offer consumer credit in the city of Olavarria, to know the characteristics of credit and understand the links that are established primarily with the activities of the lower circuit. The methodology consisted of analysis of secondary information from National Institute of Statistics and Census, the Central Bank of Argentina and Raul Prebisch's Library. Primary sources were based on interviews with representatives of non-bank financial institutions and conducted surveys to the population of the city has requested a personal credit were used.

In the following project, the local festivities of the municipality of Algemesi, celebrated on 7 and 8 September have been investigated, and they have become a centennial celebration thanks to the maintenance, continuity and strengthening of the elements forming it. After a number of awards given by various organizations and institutions that began in 1977 with the Declaration as well tourist attractions, in the last five years, it has received one recognition after another, until in the year 2011 it was declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. This tradition has its roots at medieval times, because in the year 1247 the image of the Virgin was found in a mulberry (this is calle “troballa” in Valencian language), located, according to the most accepted theory where the Capella de la Troballa was built.

Por un lado, la globalizacion tiende a anular el correlato espacial de estos procesos, homogenizando el paisaje geografico; pero, por el otro lado, lo local -en relacion a sus valores y caracteristicas particulares- se posiciona como componente estrategico clave en este contexto. De este modo, el par dialectico local-global, si bien es visto como dicotomia conflictiva, tambien se constituye como articulacion clave para afrontar y comprender las problematicas presentes en nuestros territorios contemporaneos, a fin de mejorar las condiciones de vida de toda la poblacion. EnglishThe changes that are happening, in the last few decades, around the logic of the market, the new modes of production and the flows of capital, have their reciprocal transformation of our territories. On the one hand, globalization tends to cancel the spatial correlation of these processes, homogenizing the geographical landscape, but on the other hand, the local -in relation to their values and characteristics- is positioned as a key strategic component in this context. Thus, the local-global dialectical pair, although it is seen as conflicting dichotomy, also is a key joint to confront and understand the issues present in our contemporary territories, in order to improve the living conditions of the whole population. portuguesAs mudancas que ocorrem nas ultimas decadas, em torno da logica do mercado, os novos modos de producao e fluxos de capital tem a sua transformacao reciproca de nossos territorios. espanolEn este trabajo, presentamos una lectura sobre el uso de las redes sociales por los movimientos socio-espaciales que se destacaron en el mundo en los ultimos anos. Tomando sus bases en los marcos conceptuales de movimientos socio-territoriales, los movimientos socio-territorial, Redes y Redes sociales, avanzamos en la lectura geografica de las recientes manifestaciones que se centran sobre todo en el caso del MPL - Movimento Passe Livre - Sao Paulo. Analizar y comparar estos movimientos y sus manifestaciones nos permitio identificar la conexion entre la difusion de la informacion en las redes sociales y la materializacion de las manifestaciones en el espacio publico. Es de destacar que el uso de estos ha llevado a una nueva dinamica, no solo en la difusion de la manifestacion, sino tambien en la realizacion de trabajo de base, que se caracteriza como un area importante de la socializacion politica en la actualidad. portuguesNeste trabalho apresentamos uma leitura sobre uso das redes sociais pelos movimentos socioespaciais que mais se destacaram no mundo nos ultimos anos. EnglishIn this article, we present a lecture on the use of social networks by socio-spatial movements that attracted the most attention in the world in recent years. With their bases in the conceptual frameworks of socio-spatial movements, socio-territorial movements, Network´s and Social Network´s, we try to advance the geographical contribution on the lecture of the recent manifestations with especially highlights in the case of MPL - Movimento Passe Livre - Sao Paulo. Analyze and compare these movements and their manifestations allowed us to identify the connection between the dinamics of information´s in social networks and the materialization of the manifestations in the public space. It is highlighted that the use of these has led to a new dynamic not only in the dissemination of information, but also in performing work of political consciousness, characterized as an important area of political socialization today.

Construction became a prominent economic activity in Spain during the property bubble years, but especially in the areas of tourism development on the Mediterranean coast. In this context, and taking advantage of the boom of the residential tourism in the pre-coastal areas still outside the overcrowding of the beach-front, the town of Castalla (Alicante, Spain) was immersed in a construction development mainly driven by municipal corporations, and of which three aspects stand out: the construction of a large housing development, the extension of the nucleus of Castalla in several developable areas, and the accentuation of a phenomenon rooted from long ago as it is the scattered settlement. The overtones of illegalities and the suspicions of corruption aren't apart from this process that once the bubble burst, shows the scars of a dismal urban planning in a territory that now shows enormous difficulties facing the management.

Water demand is one of the major problems confronted by present-day society. In regions where the shortage of rainfall remains constant, this problem becomes even more serious. The town of Aguilas, in the Region of Murcia, has been suffering from a great demand for years now due to the incipient growth of population in the summer season and also to the great water demand required to perform the main economic activity in Aguilas: the agriculture. In order to supplement this water demand, desalination plants have been built, and these have had a great influence in the Project for the Modernization of Irrigation.

En el interior septentrional de la provincia de Alicante se encuentra la comarca del Comtat, donde gracias al esfuerzo de una serie de agentes se han puesto en marcha diferentes proyectos cuyo objetivo es recuperar un cultivo historico como el vinedo, que habia desaparecido en la zona y que en la actualidad se ha vuelto a desarrollar con resultados muy positivos. Destaca especialmente el proyecto Microvina del Celler La Muntanya, que ademas de buscar una recuperacion del paisaje y del territorio, pretende sobre todo que la agricultura vuelva a ser una actividad rentable, es decir que los habitantes de los municipios puedan vivir de ella y solucionar asi los problemas que caracterizan a un ambito rural y montanoso, como es el caso del envejecimiento, la despoblacion y el estancamiento socioeconomico.

Immigration is one of the most important phenomena that defined the structure of the population of La Rioja in the past two decades, but particularly since the beginning of the XXI century. The growth experienced by this region is due almost exclusively to this population group. The need for labor in areas of primary activity such as grape, fruit or horticultural products for further processing, has generated an important focus of employment for these people. In addition to this phenomenon, the strong aging is one of the basic features of the Community, granting it specific characteristics that will define the demographic structure of the population of this territory.

espanolEl sector de la pesca en la provincia de Alicante se encuentra en una situacion de retroceso que pone en peligro una actividad economica con una larga tradicion en nuestra sociedad. Una situacion que no siempre ha sido asi pues antes de la adhesion de Espana a la Union Europea, la flota alicantina era considerada una potencia pesquera en el Mediterraneo. A partir de este momento, junto con la falta de rentabilidad que acusa el sector en las ultimas decadas han sido factores determinantes para que cada ano disminuya el censo de embarcaciones de las Cofradias de la provincia. Las ayudas de la Politica Pesquera Comun al cese de la actividad, un sector envejecido y sin mano de obra joven y cualificada son EnglishThe fishery in Alicante Province are in a critical situation. It have an important tradition in our society and now this economic sector is in risk. This situation hasn't always been like at the moment. Before Spain became in member state of the European Union, Ali-cantina fleet was considered the most important in the Mediterranean Sea. From this point on, along with lack of profitability of the sector during the last decades, both had been decisive so that the number of ships in Fisherman's Association had been gone down each year. Rural areas suffer a process of dismantling caused by their subordination to urban environments, European agricultural policy and the aggressive logic of international trade. Currently, these spaces are even more endangered by exclusion risks caused by globalization and the spread of the New Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Through the concept of multifunctionality a lot of initiatives and rural development policies opt for the tourism sector in rural areas. In many cases they leave aside the promotion of traditional agriculture. There are two issues that require efforts to reduce the digital divide between rural and urban areas: the isolated location of tourist accommodation and the features of the Information Society. Therefore, in case strategies for increasing access and use of ICT are not applied and these are used to promote tourism aside the traditional agricultural activity, we will not be helping the rural development.
