The article considers a variant of a lesson in literary reading, in which third-grade students study the story of Konstantin Georgievich Paustovsky "The Thief Cat". The teacher uses active teaching methods, offering third-graders at different stages of the lesson to work in pairs of a permanent composition, to conduct a cognitive research search. In the technology of the lesson, the classic methods of working with such a literary genre as a story are combined with some author's methods.

The article characterizes the difficulties that younger schoolchildren face when studying the theme of the course program "The World Around Us", dedicated to familiarizing students with natural and cultural objects of Russia and other countries included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The article considers the method of consistent and successive acquaintance of students from the first to the fourth grade with the most significant and accessible World Heritage sites, with special attention to the emotional perception of a natural or cultural object, providing awareness of its beauty, uniqueness and significance.

The article analyzes the difficulties in implementing the updated versions of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education and the Federal Educational Program for Primary General Education. The problem of developing the communicative skills of second-graders is considered, the ways of teaching younger students to communicate in the dialogue mode are updated. As a priority, it is proposed to use forms of joint activities that meet the requirements of the updated program documents. It is noted the need for the gradual formation in children of the ability to listen to the interlocutor and perceive information to complete educational tasks. Tasks for second-graders are offered, which help students understand the importance of mastering communication skills in the process of studying the Russian language course.

The main features of teaching mathematics according to the updated standard are: the development of spatial thinking, logical and algorithmic thinking; formation of the ability to work with subject terminology and actively use it in solving educational problems; the formation of mathematical functional literacy, taking into account the age capabilities of children. The article discusses the organization of teaching second-graders, focused on the implementation of the requirements of the current standard for mathematical preparation: analysis of a mathematical text; the use of ready-made and independently compiled models to discuss the problem; commenting on the process of solving, constructing (images), oral calculations; the use of different methods for performing the measurement action.

Formation of Reading Skills in Younger Schoolchildren 低龄学童阅读技能的形成

The article deals with the problem of the formation and development of reading skills in primary schoolchildren as a component of functional literacy. The author presents the existing classifications of the considered skills in the methodological literature. The difficulties faced by schoolchildren in the process of analyzing works of different genres, and the reasons that cause them, are determined. Particular attention in the article is paid to the systematic and parallel use of methodological techniques in the lessons of literary reading that contribute to the formation of each reading skill in schoolchildren. The provisions on which the choice of the appropriate method depends are indicated.

The article deals with the problem of organizing constructive leisure activities of younger schoolchildren in modern conditions of the development of society. As one of the effective means of forming a culture of leisure among primary school students, the use of recreational educational publications both in the system of formal and non-formal education is substantiated. The possibilities and key characteristics of recreational educational publications are analyzed according to the assessments of buyers of this type of benefits on trading Internet platforms. The results of a content analysis of reviews and comments on the author’s recreational educational publication on the largest online trading platforms Ozon and Wildberries are presented.

The article deals with the problem of improving the teaching of mathematics to younger students. The author shares his experience of using modeling in solving text problems, which is a description of a process in mathematical language. The features and methods of work based on the construction of a mathematical model are characterized, which in the case of complex and multifactorial problems is often the best way to study them. Examples of modeling the text problem algorithm are given. The importance of mastering the ability to solve text problems by younger students, which stimulates the development of their mathematical thinking and creative activity, is emphasized.
