The article reveals the educational potential of the subject “Foreign Language”, discusses the educational goals of its study by younger schoolchildren. The problems faced by schoolchildren in the process of mastering a foreign (English) language are analyzed, their causes are established: the inability to perceive a foreign text, to carry out textual activity, insufficient knowledge of semantic reading skills. Examples of exercises are given that help prevent and eliminate the difficulties that younger schoolchildren have when learning English.

The article considers the peculiarities of the use of digital technologies during primary school students’ distance learning, organized under a global pandemic in 2020-2021 on the territory of the Russian Federation. The authors conducted an empirical study among primary school teachers, the purpose of which was to determine their attitude to distance education, in their professional and personal opinions. The methodological basis of the research is an electronic questionnaire about the distance technologies applied, their impact on the educational process and the emotional well-being of young learners, as well as the satisfaction of teachers with the remote form of interaction with students. In conclusion, the authors come to the conclusion about the need for digital adaptation of school children in the modern world of digitalization of the education system.

The article presents the historical and pedagogical experience of training teachers for elementary public schools in the eighth (additional) pedagogical class and in pedagogical courses at the Pskov Mariinsky Womens Gymnasium. In the context of the conditions of Russian reality at the end of the 19th century issues related to the need for teaching staff, the interest of regional authorities in their stable training, supported by appropriate financial policies, are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to aspects related to the content and organization of the theoretical and practical training of trainees, as well as their final certification. Conclusions are drawn about the possibility of using a number of the considered pedagogical traditions in the modern system of training elementary school teachers.

The article provides a theoretical substantiation of the process of formation of regulative universal educational actions of younger schoolchildren on the basis of reflection. The concept of "regulative universal learning activities" is characterized, which are defined in the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary General Education as an essential component of meta-subject learning outcomes. The technique of using the techniques of reflection in the lessons of literary reading is described, which allows to increase the level of mastery of primary schoolchildren by the regulative universal educational actions of goal-setting, control and evaluation.

The article discusses the conditions and means of forming a team in elementary school. As the main aspects, three levels of its development are singled out: a diffuse group, a community, and, in fact, a collective. The criteria for the manifestation of the educational team in the child-adult community are characterized: the general circle, the formation of the class asset, mentoring, the rating system, discipline and self-organization, activity, goal-setting, team building, emotional involvement, the emotional background of the class. Three possible positions of the teacher when working with the class team are identified: authoritarianism, co-management, self-management.

The article emphasizes the urgency of realizing the goal of forming a healthy lifestyle and proper behavior in the environment in primary schoolchildren in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education (FSES PGE). The continuity and prospects of the content of familiarization of students in grades 1-4 with the rules of safe behavior at home, on the streets and roads, playgrounds, in the natural environment are revealed. The features of the organization of lessons are characterized, in which the formation of the skills and abilities of safe behavior in younger students takes place: a motivational block of methods, a visual-information block, an approximate-evaluating and practical blocks. Specific examples of exercises and tasks of the discussed methodology are given

The article discusses the idea of modeling the educational space of a modern elementary school within the framework of the working program of upbringing of an educational organization. A detailed analysis of the main structural components of the Approximate working program of education is given: target, content, organizational. It highlights the targets set out in it, which are formulated in accordance with the updated version of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education. On this basis, the ways of constructing a working program of education for elementary school are determined.

The article highlights the methods of working with primary schoolchildren, which contribute to the formation of their cognitive universal educational activities. The mastery of a set of universal educational activities by younger schoolchildren, in turn, is considered in the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary General Education as the most important requirement - the formation of meta-subject learning outcomes. The article provides interesting examples of tasks offered to students in the lessons of the world around them, which ensure the development of their basic logical operations, initial research activities, the ability to work with information presented in various forms, as well as modeling and design skills.

The ability of a younger schoolchild to show independence in solving practical and educational problems is one of the results of primary education. Obviously, many schoolchildren find it difficult to show independence due to individual differences: personal qualities, attitudes towards learning, purposefulness in cognition, and even the pace of learning activities. However, a teacher who has knowledge of age-related physiology and psychology, using modern teaching methods and technologies, can help a student become more proactive, teach him to plan and control his actions when studying training courses and performing creative tasks. Learning operations that the student masters under the guidance of a teacher and begins to apply first with the help of an adult, and then without outside help, fall into the treasury of his independent actions. The article discusses some approaches to the organization of cooperation between a teacher and a schoolchild, stimulating the development of a student’s independence in learning. Examples of tasks on the mathematical content are given, illustrating these approaches.
