In this paper, we present an object detection system with a set of weak classifiers and its application to plasma sprayed coatings. In order to improve performance of the classifier, we used combinations of halftone images and gradient images generated by the Sobel operator. Each weak classifier computes its feature value for a detection window. Three hundred positive and 300 negative snapshots were used to train the detector, while 200 positive and 200 negative images were used for its testing. At first a patch is convolved with one of 13 filters, including delta function, Gaussian derivatives, Laplacian, corner detectors and edge detectors. Then, one of 30 spatial templates applies to the filtered patch. This method was implemented in the MATLAB environment.

An overview of the options for building local networks with distributed generation is given. A comparative analysis of the existing solutions for the ingestion of various sources of electrical energy through a circuit of alternating direct current is given. In order to increase efficiency in a local DC network with distributed generation, a three-port converter with a bi-directional power flow is proposed, which will subsequently be combined into a network for energy exchange between a group of consumers.

In this work we perform the study of photocatalytic activity of zinc oxide based heterostructures obtained by the low-temperature wet chemistry method. The structures were studied by atomic-force microscopy and it was found that the size of the particles varies from 50 nm to 150 nm. The photocatalytic activity of the heterostructures was studied using methyl orange organic dye that adsorbs light in visible region. The dye solution with photocatalyst loaded was irradiated with ultra-violet light and the concentration changes of the dye were monitored using UV-Vis spectrophotometer.

The power supply of objects not connected to centralized grids is traditionally carried out on the basis of diesel generators. The main disadvantage of these energy sources is the high fuel consumption. It can be compensated by using renewable energy sources and the creation of hybrid power supply systems. To increase the power supply reliability, it is proposed to perform an operational control of energy sources load capacity and to separate in time the starting regimes of powerful electric receivers. For remote rural areas, a significant non-recurrent cost for the acquisition and installation of generating, conversion and other equipment is a deterrent to the introduction of such power supply systems. One of the ways to solve this problem is to minimize the installed capacity of the hybrid power supply system's equipment due to the operational control of the load capacity of energy sources and the time-sharing of the starting regimes of powerful electrical receivers.

A calculation of autodyne oscillator characteristics is performed with frequency stabilization by the additional high-Q cavity for cases of the strong and weak reflected (from the radar target) emission, when its level is commensurable with the level of own oscillations. At numerical simulation of these characteristics, we take different values of internal oscillator parameters (non-isochronity and non-isodromity), coupling coefficients and a distance to the target. It is shown that at strong coupling of the stabilizing resonator, we can achieve the reduced degree of anharmonic signal distortions and the dynamic range extension of autodyne system. Analysis results of autodyne characteristics are confirmed by experimental data obtained for the stabilized hybrid-intergrated two-meza Gunn diode of 8mm-range.

The report describes the methodology for constructing fuzzy regulators based on the results of numerical experiments with mathematical models of nonlinear control objects. Examples of application of this methodology are considered. Such methodology is useful in the conditions of insufficient expert information in the design of new nonlinear devices, usually used to create fuzzy regulators. The required quality of object control is achieved due to parametric adaptation to the operating conditions of the objects (supply network, load), provided by the introduction of fuzzy regulators.

This report presents the results of 3D modeling of an electron optical system with low perveance electron elliptical beams. The comparison of triple elliptical beams with continuous sheet and elliptical beams has been conducted. The studied systems have a triode design with an anode potential of 20 kV and a grid potential of 950 V. The total current of electron beams is a 93 mA. Results of 3D modeling show that using of electron optical system forming triple elliptical beams in THz devices permits to achieve a high current transmission through a beam tunnel of a slow-wave structure with a dimension of 140×2500 ¼m2 and provide interaction with the higher transverse mode of three RF field variations.

Experimental studies were carried out by two different sources of gamma quanta. Samples were irradiated gamma - quantum radioisotope source 226Ra and electron accelerator braking gamma radiation - betatron Saratov state university. The form of the diffractograms shows the high crystallinity of the samples under study. The effect of gamma rays of radium led to a slight shift of the maximum of the reflex relative to the angle 2θ=29.18° to the left and a decrease in its width. The structure of the samples irradiated with γ-quanta of the bremsstrahlung of the betatron, according to the measurements, has undergone more significant and unexpected changes.

The influence of the irradiation process with helium ions of a matrix from gallium arsenide was revealed experimentally to form isolation regions and re-introduce helium ions in order to obtain electrically isolated resistors of integrated circuits of microwave devices. The empirical dependences of the resistance of epitaxial gallium arsenide on the accelerating voltage of helium ions are analyzed and the regimes of ion-beam (He+) modification of gallium arsenide are determined to create local isolating regions of resistors. The established physical and technical parameters of ion-beam modification have created the prerequisites for the development of an advanced technology for fabricating electrically isolated resistors with increased thermal stability and the necessary breakdown voltage of local insulating layers of epitaxial gallium arsenide, which in turn significantly expands the possibilities for the design of modern microcircuits.

Based on past experience we constructed and analyzed the work of the optical Interdisp display system. The prototype model was used to check the reliability of the original hypothesis of combining frames from different sectors of the screen using an objective lense system, to evaluate the quality of the output image, and to choice the design characteristics of the optical system. Two variants of the scheme of the optical system were investigated using the projector and laptop as the source of images. According to the results of experiments, we choose the last variant. The values of the parameters, angles and distances required for designing the display are determined. The most preferred variant of the working scheme of the optical system is used in the production of the volumetric display prototype called «Interdisp».
