In response to environmental volatility, uncertainty, and change, seven not-for-profit organizations decided to join forces to deliver more efficient and effective solutions to deeply rooted social and educational challenges in the city of Birmingham, West Midlands, United Kingdom. From the perspective of the change agent, this reflective case history explores the processes involved in developing the network and the successes and challenges associated with its people and their ambitions for the future.

Green Finance and Sustainable Development 绿色金融与可持续发展

Green finance is currently gaining importance with the growing global resistance to climate change. However, there is limited empirical evidence supporting green finance and economic development nexus considering environmental issues. Despite the fastest growing economy in Asia, Bangladesh still has ambiguity about the role of green finance on sustainable economic growth, though it is already initiated in Bangladesh. Therefore, applying correlation matrix and Granger causality test, this chapter aims to overview the present scenario and identify the role of green finance on sustainable development in Bangladesh from 2014-2019. Hence, it considers GDP growth and CO2 emissions for economic development and climate change issues, respectively, and green finance as the proxy of greening. This study finds that renewable energy consumption and power generation from renewable and waste contribute to green growth. Hence, this study suggests green finance for sustainable development not only in Bangladesh but also in other emerging economies.

This reflective case history describes and reflects on an innovative workforce project for specialist health and care practitioners that ran in the northeast of England from 2009 to 2011. It draws on the findings from the project's change and benefit, action research, and realist evaluations to make the case for elevating and engaging more fully with workforce potential to address endemic and pervading complexity, change, and challenge. It identifies a key “diversity-opportunity” dynamic within the project, linked to learning and working differently, and making a difference. This is transferable to other adult learning, development, and change programs that are collaborative and outcome-focused, supporting evidence/experience-based practice.

Performing Enterprise Architectures Through Gamified Business Models 通过游戏化业务模型执行企业架构

The profitability of performance and the reduction of turnover are the main challenges of the big companies of the professional services sector. While it is not always possible to achieve all the goals of the large multinationals in each country, it is necessary to assess their development in order to do so. In this way, the steps are identified, going to the new version of new business models, under an organization perspective that can be accompanied by interesting results with a different structure. However, for the sake of management, in order to ensure the cohesion between the teams, it is necessary to create mechanisms for obtaining high income, in order to support the enterprise architecture and the intended business model, which highlights the use of the concept of gamification as one of these mechanisms. This chapter aims to review the literature on the use of architectures and performance demonstrations. In addition to using the gamification concept, the profitability of capital invested in different business activities and the improvement of employee engagement are used. It is intended to consolidate good practices for the implementation of architectures through business models.

A Comparative Look at Social Housing in Developed and Developing Countries 发达国家和发展中国家社会住房比较研究

Provision of housing is vital to all the members of any country, and even a fundamental right of every person in a society to be housed properly. While the state has a primary role to play in reallocation of resources to meet the needs of the majority and ensure ‘public good', the economic status of developing nations has made this a complex issue. The developing world has increasingly come to rely on voluntary action, especially the social enterprise movements. There are marked differences in the approaches to tackling the social housing issue in the developed and developing world, from the point of view of the role played by social enterprises in this area. This chapter takes a comparative look at the role played by social entrepreneurs and social enterprises in the area of social housing in the developing and developed world by looking at some specific examples and case studies and concludes that in the developing world the social enterprise movement has a stronger role to play.

This chapter offers an updated vision of social entrepreneurship around the world, showing the main advances made in recent years and analyzing the main challenges and opportunities for the near future. It includes a reflection on the concept of social entrepreneurship, since today there's not a single definition of that term, and a review of the evidence on good practices in this field, which could serve as a model for future initiatives.

Raw materials and products are moved and created globally through complex supply chains. Within those supply chains, logistics is what enables the goods to move through distribution and reach the end consumer. Being such a widely used process, this is what motivates the researchers to examine the logistics portion of the supply chain from an analytical perspective and attempt to determine the relationship between various market forces and their impact on the cost of logistics. This will be accomplished with transformative analytics techniques, such as multivariate regression modeling focusing on areas such as directionality and precipitation. That should enable logistics managers, researchers, and others to better understand the factors that go into the cost of logistics services, and thus impact pricing of goods dependent on those services. In a world where logistics managers rely heavily on “gut feel,” utilizing business intelligence and analytics can better enable decision making.

The Use of Employee Financial Participation in Lithuanian Companies 立陶宛公司员工财务参与的使用

The chapter analyses the use of employee financial participation in Lithuanian companies. The methodology of current research is based on the qualitative research method and analysis of the company's documents. In a total of 19 semi-structured individual anonymous interviews and one focus group were conducted with competent representatives of the companies – heads of human resources and finance departments of companies, heads of legal departments or top managers of law firms representing them. According to the research findings, employers set different goals for share and profit-sharing programs or measures. Among the already examined, high, long-term employee motivation dominates. It also includes aspects of employee involvement in management, strengthening loyalty, forming a sense of ownership. The Scandinavian capital corporation, which manages several companies in Lithuania and applies for a share ownership program, has succeeded in achieving its goals by strengthening employee motivation and involvement.
