Disaster is an event or a series of events that threatens and disrupts people's lives and livelihoods, caused by natural and/or non-natural factors and human factors, resulting in human casualties, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. Hydrometeorological disasters are events related to water, atmosphere, and oceans. It is recorded that hydrometeorological disasters occurring in Indonesia reach 86%, including floods, tornadoes, landslides, forest and land fires, and droughts. Specifically, in Central Kalimantan Province, forest and land fires and floods are frequent disasters. Both fall into the category of hydrometeorological disasters, closely related to the climate in Central Kalimantan. In this study, the prediction of rainfall, temperature, and humidity values in Central Kalimantan Province was calculated using the Auto-Regressive Integrated Moving Average method at 5 stations in the province. Subsequently, the prediction analysis of flood events was carried out using the machine learning random forest method based on the rainfall data, temperature, humidity, and event data. According to the calculation results, flood disasters are not predicted to affect almost all areas of Central Kalimantan Province. However, by the end of 2023, it is anticipated that most areas in the province will still be categorized as experiencing a normal level of drought. Notably, there are two areas that must increase awareness of this drought disaster, namely Pulang Pisau and Sampit, especially in October 2023.

Critical thinking includes higher processes, such as analysis, synthesis, evaluation, conclusion, and reflection. This research aims to determine the profile level of students' critical thinking abilities. The research sample consisted of 28 students taken by random sampling consisting of 2 classes. Data was obtained through test and non-test techniques which included a critical thinking ability test using 20 questions. Meanwhile, the non-test uses an observation sheet on students' critical thinking abilities. Analysis of data obtained from the results of students' critical thinking skills tests was then analyzed using analysis items with the Rasch model. The results of the profile analysis of students' critical thinking skills were classified as moderate. This is proven by test results and observations in basic biology courses. Based on the results of tests on students' critical thinking skills, it is known that there are 16 students who have high levels of critical thinking skills, 5 students with moderate critical thinking skills, and 6 students with weak critical thinking skills. Meanwhile, the results of observations of the critical thinking abilities of Bima Muhammadiyah University students in basic biology courses are in the moderate critical thinking ability category with a category score of around 68.06%.

This study investigates potential non-radiation hazards, specifically Ozone (O3) production, during Linear Accelerator (LINAC) electron mode radiotherapy. The research uses experimental measurements to determine Ozone concentration in the LINAC patient waiting room and control room. Measurements are taken assuming a ±2-hour delay in one working day, using 9 MeV and 12 MeV energy, 400 MU dose rate, and illumination angles of 0o, 90o, and 270o. Maximum Ozone concentrations in the LINAC patient waiting room and control room are found to be 6.6 ppb (12 MeV) and 8.3 ppb (12 MeV), respectively. These concentrations fall below the chemical threshold limit and are deemed safe for human exposure. Notably, potentially detectable Ozone levels are observed in the LINAC banker. Overall, this research highlights the importance of monitoring Ozone levels to ensure the safety of both patients and personnel in LINAC facilities.

Overall, this research highlights the importance of monitoring Ozone levels to ensure the safety of both patients and personnel in LINAC facilities.","PeriodicalId":31522,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan IPA","volume":"19 91","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140432894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the level of preparedness of students in facing earthquake disasters in three schools in Bambanglipuro and to provide recommendations for improving student preparedness. This study utilized a quantitative descriptive method involving 124 students as research samples. The research instrument used was an open-ended questionnaire that had been validated by subject matter experts and language experts. The questionnaire consisted of 17 items taken from four parameters of preparedness: attitude (6 items), emergency response planning (5 items), disaster warning systems (1 item), and social mobilization (4 items). The data obtained were analyzed using ANOVA to determine the differences among the three junior high schools. Based on the research findings, it was found that overall, the three schools had similar levels of preparedness, with SMPN 2 Bambanglipuro being classified as "ready" at 80%, while SMP Muh Bambanglipuro and SMPN 1 Bambanglipuro were classified as "almost ready" at 79%. However, there were some parameters of preparedness where the students in all three schools were classified as "almost ready" or "ready," except for the attitude parameter in SMPN 2 Bambanglipuro, which was categorized as "low" at 53%.
