Information and Communication Technology Approaches and Multimedia Authoring Skills of Public Elementary School Teachers 公立小学教师的信息通信技术途径与多媒体创作技巧

This descriptive-explanatory research determined the extent of utilization of ICT approaches in performing teaching-related tasks and self-assessment of multimedia authoring skills of 162 public elementary school teachers at Tanauan City North District, Philippines. Utilizing a researcher-made questionnaire in gathering the needed data and applying appropriate statistical tools, the results of the study revealed that the respondents highly utilized technology literacy approach, and utilized both knowledge deepening, and knowledge creation approaches in performing teaching-related tasks as they integrate technology into the curriculum, utilize spreadsheet in monitoring pupils’ learning progress, and use available ICT resources to help pupils acquire and demonstrate complex cognitive skills. The respondents were also found to be competent in media literacy, using music and arts, design principles, creativity and novel thinking, and considering audiences as components of multimedia authoring skills that was likely to be influenced by their utilization of ICT approaches as affirmed by the significant relationship identified between the two variables. This study calls for pedagogical innovations by capacitating public elementary school teachers with multi-media authoring skills through ICT-skill enhancement program.

Improving The Students’ Cognitive Aspects In Oxy Acetylene Welding Course 提高学生在氧乙炔焊接课程中的<s:2>认知能力

This study aims at improving learning activities and learning outcomes of cognitive aspects among X grade students of Metal Fabrication Engineering and Manufacturing, Vocational High School (VHS) using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method. This study used classroom action research, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages, i.e. planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study involved one collaborator to assist researchers in implementing PBL and to monitor the learning process. The data collection technique used observation method with checklist and rating scale instrument. The data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the PBL implementation method in ignition system learning improve the students’ learning activities with the percentage of 11.20%, the learning activities, in which 29 students were in very high category and 3 students with high category. Also, the learning outcomes of cognitive aspects getting higher to 5.32% consisting of remembering (86.87%), understanding (77.68%), applying (78.77%), analyzing (79.61%), evaluation (77.97%), and creating (79.16%) respectively. Moreover, the students’ learning outcomes raised of which 29 students (91.31%) achieved above the minimum completeness criteria. It means that the PBL model can be used by vocational high teachers as alternative learning process to improve their outcomes of the cognitive aspects.
本研究旨在运用基于问题的学习(PBL)方法改善职业高中金属加工工程与制造专业X年级学生认知方面的学习活动和学习成果。本研究采用课堂行动研究,分两个周期进行。每个周期由规划、实施、观察、反思四个阶段组成。本研究由一名合作者协助研究人员实施PBL并监控学习过程。数据采集技术采用观察法、检查表法和评定量表法。对数据进行描述性分析。结果表明:点火系统学习中PBL实施方法对学生€™学习活动的改善率为11.20%,学习活动中有29名学生处于非常高的类别,3名学生处于高类别。记忆(86.87%)、理解(77.68%)、应用(78.77%)、分析(79.61%)、评价(77.97%)、创造(79.16%)等认知方面的学习成绩也有所提高,分别达到5.32%。学生的€™学习成果有所提高,其中29名学生(91.31%)达到最低完整性标准以上。这意味着,PBL模式可以作为一种替代学习过程来改善高职教师的认知结果。

This study National Examination data on mathematics subjects from of the Center for Educational Assessment in DKI Jakarta and Tangerang regions. Using the Rasch Model analysis, data obtained for 2135 in the DKI Jakarta (X) and 2271 in the Tangerang area (Y). Results of replication then RMSE value is calculated. The results showed that equal form with normal data distribution, statistically the average RMSE with the Simplified Circle Arc method smaller than the average RMSE result of equalization with the Nominal Weight Mean method which indicates that the Simplified Circle Arc method more accurate than Nominal Weight Mean method. Likewise, with equal equations with positive skeweness and negative skewness data distribution, the average RMSE with the Simplified Circle Arc Method is smaller than average RMSE resulting in equalization of the score with Nominal Weight Mean method. Internet Access and Internet Self-efficacy of High School Students 高中生网络接入与网络自我效能感

This study aimed at determining the availability of the internet facility, access, and internet usage in general as well as in learning physics among high school students in Lampung, Indonesia. The study also assessed students’ internet self-efficacy and perception of the internet in learning physics. A number of 1883 students, which consists of 700 males and 1183 females, participated in this descriptive study. A questionnaire consisted of 30 items was implemented in this study. The results showed that most students have internet facilities and nearly all of them have internet access through mobile phones. The majority of students had used the internet for more than or equal to three years (78.1%). In using the internet, students have two main reasons, for academic purposes (90.3%) and for social media activities (89.5%). Majority of internet service used in physics was to solving homework (78.5%). The study also revealed that students’ internet self-efficacy and perception for learning physics were in “high” and “positive” category, respectively. These results imply that the students’ internet facilities, access, experience, and self-efficacy are categorized high. Therefore, the integration of internet in teaching physics at high school in Lampung is adequately potential.

This study aims to determine: (1) differences in learning activities between students who use MySQL and students who use Ms. Access on subjects in Database Processing with basic competencies in understanding language in class XI of the RPL Department of SMK 2 Surabaya; (2) differences in learning outcomes between students who use MySQL and students using Ms. Access on Database subjects with basic competencies in understanding language in class XI of the RPL Department of SMK 2 Surabaya.The research design used was a "non -equivalent control group design" design which involved two classes, namely XI RPL1as an experimental class with a total sample of 33 students and class XI RPL-2 as a control class with a total sample of 34 students. The place of research was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya. The study found that: (1) learning activities for students who studied using MySQL applications were significantly higher than the learning activities of students who studied using Ms. Access; and (2) learning outcomes for students who learn using MySQL applications are significantly higher than the learning outcomes of students who study using Ms. Access.

Identification Attitudes of Learners on Physics Subjects 学生对物理科目的认同态度

This study aims to determine the attitudes of students in physics learning at the State High School in Batanghari Regency. The type of research used is quantitative which uses a research design survey that is strengthened by the results of interviews to support the results of quantitative data. This study involved 926 students of the Batanghari State High School. The data used by researchers in the form of a questionnaire/questionnaire consisting of 54 item statements using a Likert scale 5. Quantitative data analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of this study the researchers get the results of Good and Good Enough with the following details: The Social Implications of Physics have a Good result, amounting to 51.3%. Attitudes in Physics Investigation have a sufficient result of 44.3%, Enjoyment Learning Physics has Enough results of 55.5%, Career Interest in Physics has Enough result of 45%. This is due to the attitude that is sufficient on the indicator. The adequate attitude of students is a balanced attitude in learning Physics Subjects because subjects are difficult to understand.

The Influence of Interest in Choosing the Mechanical Engineering Vocational Program in Vocational High Schools 兴趣对高职机械工程专业选择的影响

This research aimed to find out the influence of students’ interests in choosing the mechanical engineering vocational program. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all Grade X students in Yogyakarta which total number were 180 respondents. The data collecting technique was using questionnaires which then was analyzed using descriptive analysis and regression. The results of this study were (1) Students’ interests in choosing mechanical engineering vocational program was high. (2) There was a positive and significant influence from students’ own understanding, family, school, and society towards students’ interests in choosing the mechanical engineering vocational program, (3) The four variables, together, have positive and significant influences towards vocational high school students’ interests in choosing the mechanical engineering vocational program in Yogyakarta..
本研究旨在了解学生兴趣对机械工程专业选择的影响。本研究采用描述性定量方法。本研究的人口均为日惹市的十年级学生,总人数为180人。数据收集技术采用问卷调查,然后使用描述性分析和回归分析。本研究结果显示:(1)学生选择机械工程专业的兴趣较高;(2)学生自身认识、家庭、学校和社会对学生选择机械工程职业专业的兴趣有正向显著影响;(3)这四个变量共同对日惹市职业高中学生选择机械工程职业专业的兴趣有正向显著影响。

The data collecting technique was using questionnaires which then was analyzed using descriptive analysis and regression. The results of this study were (1) Students’ interests in choosing mechanical engineering vocational program was high. Students’ Higher Order Thinking Skills in Environmental Learning: Develop Assessment Based on Green Consumerism 学生在环境学习中的高阶思维技能:基于绿色消费主义的发展评估

21st-century learning emphasizes several important abilities, one of which is the ability of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). This ability can be possessed by students by familiarizing students with HOTS-based questions. The purpose of this study was to develop HOTS-based questions on environmental learning based on green consumerism. The research method used is research and development using Borg and Gall Model. The study was conducted in November 2018 at State Junior High School 1 South Tambun. The validation results show that the assessment on green consumerism-based environmental learning developed has a very valid category according to the experts, and is valid and reliable after measurement. This is because the questions developed are relevant to the current environmental conditions. The results of HOTS male students 44.98 and female students 46.61. The average score of Male and Female 45.79 are still relatively low and need to be improved. The conclusion is that the questions developed have a valid, reliable and appropriate category of use in the process of learning science in junior high school.

The Use Of 3CM (Cool-Critical-Creative-Meaningful) Model In Blended Learning To Improve Creative Thinking Ability In Solving Mathematics Problem 在混合式学习中运用3CM(冷静-批判-创造-有意义)模式提高数学解题的创造性思维能力

This study aims to describe and test the effectiveness of 3CM learning model with blended learning to improve students' creative thinking ability in solving mathematic problems. A pre experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design pattern was applied in this study. Creative thinking ability is measured by test technique and then in triangulation with observation and interview. Students were given a test, observed when solving the problem, and interviewed based on the answers given. To see the effectiveness of 3CM learning with blended learning done with paired T test with assisted with SPSS program then triangulated with observation and interview. Based on the test results, it obtained the average pre-test 60.51 and post-test 75.96. Result of paired T tests, test got sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 means there was a significant difference between pre-test and post-test results. It indicated that 3CM learning with blended learning effectively improves students' creative thinking ability in solving problems. This happened because learning gives students the opportunity to think systematically by beginning by criticizing the interesting contextual problems and ending with meaningful reflection with adequate learning resources both when face-to-face and online.
本研究旨在描述和检验混合学习的3CM学习模式对提高学生解决数学问题的创造性思维能力的有效性。本研究采用一组前测后测设计模式的实验前设计。创造性思维能力的测量首先采用测试法,然后采用观察法和访谈法进行三角测量。学生们进行了测试,观察他们如何解决问题,并根据给出的答案进行访谈。为了观察3CM学习与混合学习的有效性,采用配对T检验,辅以SPSS程序,然后用观察和访谈进行三角测量。根据测试结果,测试前平均60.51分,测试后平均75.96分。配对T检验结果,检验得到sig值。(双尾)0.000表示前测和后测结果有显著差异。结果表明,3CM混合学习能有效提高学生解决问题的创造性思维能力。这是因为学习让学生有机会系统地思考,开始时通过批评有趣的背景问题,结束时通过充分的学习资源进行有意义的反思,无论是面对面的还是在线的。

Performance of Distance Learning Compared with Face to Face Learning 远程学习与面对面学习的绩效比较

This study aims to addresses the gap between the philosophy of distance learning and FTF learning among primary schools. Additionally, this research also aims to compare the student learning outcomes using distance and face-to-face (FTF) in statistics courses. To test the validity of the outcomes, we select three schools in Sulaimani city/ Iraq. The population of the research was selected in the seventh and tenth graders, two groups for each grade were determined for the research.  For the FTF teaching method, direct lectures in the computer lab were presented to the students. While, for the distance learning method, the online course was introduced to via Skype. At the end of each teaching course, a text exam was performed for both groups. The results showed that students passing rate in the exam using FTF was 91% and 83% in Sarchya and Kareem Zand basic school respectively compared to only 67% for online classes in both schools in seventh graders. While for tenth grades in Bakrajo Industrial High School the passing rate for FTF was 81% and for virtual class 60%. This result shows that the students who did not visit classroom performed poorer understanding rate compared to those who attended the class in FTF method
