This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 4 Merangin, this research was motivated by the problem of empowering Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers towards the acceleration of memorizing short letters of Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Merangin students who were less than optimal. The research approach is a qualitative approach with the research subject of Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers and students. The research location is Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 4 Merangin. Collecting data using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. Based on the results of field research, several research conclusions were obtained as follows: The process of empowering teachers in the field of Al-Qur'an Hadith studies has been carried out, but in practice they still face many problems including the lack of textbooks, lack of student appreciation of memorization, and lack of time in providing teaching material.

In the past, one of the teachers (Kyai) named M. Jeddawi in Jambi was nicknamed by the community as the "Tiger of the City of Jambi," in addition to this nickname there was also another nickname for him, namely "Lion of Jambi" because his behavior bears a resemblance to Umar bin Khath-thab, as it is known that Umar bin Khath-thab was nicknamed the “Lion of the Desert” because of his brave attitude, that is what the “Male Tiger of Jambi City” did. In this research method we use the basis of historical methods, the theory is qualitative theory; the aim is to find out why the community gave the nickname “Male Tiger of Jambi City” to Kiyai M. Jeddawi? If observed, a role like that of Kiyai M. Jeddawi is very much needed, because his attitude is very helpful to the community, because of that the people in the city feel very lost. Hopefully someone like this character will emerge. We must admit, living in this era is much more difficult than conditions in the past.

Islam as a perfect religion and authentic li kulli wal eats (correct at all times and places) can certainly be a solution to all the problems of a nation. one of the problems of a nation is regarding the character of students who are increasingly losing the character that should be implemented in their daily life. Islam exists not only to deal with the vertical relationship between creatures and the Creator, but also in horizontal affairs, namely between fellow creatures. In Islam itself there are various educations, both aqidah, muamalah, morals and so on. An education must also have a mature concept and objectives in order to achieve the desired thing. In this article the focus is on discussing the objectives of Islamic education in the process of character building (character building). Descriptive approach and library research in this study really need to be done to look for facts and realities that exist, especially the purpose of Islamic education in building student character. The primary data source in this study is the Kapita Selekta Book on Islamic Education, and the secondary data are books, journals and scientific papers that are in accordance with the goals of Islamic education. From the results of this study, information was obtained that there were at least five basic methods for achieving the goals of Islamic education in building student character, namely: teaching, exemplary, setting priorities, priority praxis, and reflection.

Teacher certification is one way to ensure that teachers have the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies necessary to provide quality teaching and achieve optimal learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the performance of certified and non-certified teachers and to compare the performance of teachers in both groups. The study used a survey design. Over a period of two months, 115 teachers from two schools in Sungai Penuh City, Jambi Province, participated in the survey. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive and Mann Whitney U Test. The findings of the study revealed that the performance of both certified and non-certified teachers was in the moderate category, but the average score of the certified group was higher than that of the non-certified group. Furthermore, statistical testing indicated that there was a difference in the performance of certified and non-certified teachers in both schools. The results of this study have important implications for improving teacher performance. Education policymakers at the central and regional levels need to develop strategic efforts to create quality teachers. Material rewards and opportunities for career development should be provided, and certification programs should be accompanied by teacher competence tests with accompanying sanctions and rewards.

The purpose of education is inseparable from the purpose of human life. Education is only a tool used by humans to maintain the continuation of their lives both as individuals and as members of society. This research is library research. Data were obtained from two sources, namely (1) primary sources (documents, notes and direct relics of events or eyewitness accounts), and (2) secondary sources (encyclopedia articles and research reviews). The data analysis technique uses the thematic interpretation method which is divided into several interconnected stages. This research focuses on discussing the terms of educational material contained in the verses of the Koran including Al Hasanah, Sa'id, Takwa, Salam and Mardhotillah or Ridwanullah. This study tries to explore the meanings through the interpretations of the scholars and relates to current educational theories thematically. Islam and science are like two sides of a coin which are interrelated and cannot be separated. The results of the study show that there is a relationship between the terms of educational material contained in the Al-Quran and Islamic education and affect the purpose of human life in social life and the pleasure of Allah SWT.

Indonesia is a country that has many ethnicities, tribes, languages, and cultures. So that this diversity makes Indonesia must be extra in maintaining harmony, spreading conflicts, and being able to appreciate one culture with another. One of the things that can be done is to instill awareness by referring to and making the text of the holy book of Muslims (the Qur'an) the foundation of a religious society. This article is library research, with the Qur'an as a primary source. Compiled based on descriptive methods and applying the theory of munasabat al-ayat (verse relations). From the point of view of the Qur'an, it can be understood that the life of a plural society has existed for a long time, and it is a natural nature (sunnatullah) that should be understood by humans. In addition, in the implementation of the Indonesian context, there are solutions offered by the Qur'an in creating a pluralist society of various elements. The First concept is Shura (dialogical). The second concept is Islah (peace). Sejarah perkembangan dan dinamika pendidikan Islam di Indonesia seirama dengan masuknya Islam ke Nusantara. Menurut catatan sejarah lembaga pendidikan Islam pertama lahir dan berangkat dari Surau, Mushola, Masjid, kemudian menjelma kebentuk pesantren dengan manajemen yang sangat sederhana. Semua system pengelolaan berpusat pada keputusan kiyai yang sangat dihormati oleh para Pembina, guru dan para santri. Dalam perkembangannya pesantren pun mengalami dinamika, dari waktu ke waktu, pada awalnya dalam bentuk lembaga pendidikan tradisional dan sampai saat ini sudah banyak lahir pesantren moderen. Meskipun sebagian pesantren masih bertahan pada posisi tradidisional. Dari dinamika inilah, para peneliti dan pemerhati pesantren mengkategorikan pesantren menjadi tiga macam, yaitu pesantren tradisional, semi moderen, dan pesantren moderen. Pada penelitian ini fokus mengkaji tentang dinamika sistem pendidikan Islam di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar Sulawesi Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan berusaha menemukan serta lebih menekankan pada quality observasi lapangan atau hal yang terpenting pada suatu objek penelitian. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah dinamika yang terjadi pada masing-masing pesantren sangat variatif dan masing-masing institusi memiliki distingsi masing-masing sebagai pencirian lembaga.

A proper understanding of ḥifẓ al-dīn will lead to a moderate mindset. Meanwhile, intolerance occurs due to a complete understanding of religion and considering the truth to only belong to one group. Contemporary scholars interpret ḥifẓ al-dīn as freedom of religion and belief. Through literature study, this article discusses contextualizing the meaning of ḥifẓ al-dīn and its relation to religious moderation in Indonesia. This paper finds that ritualist and radical religious expressions contradict the concepts of harmony and freedom in choosing beliefs as mandated by law.

Through Presidential Decree No. 15 of 2015, students are recorded as history who have played a major role in Indonesian independence. Therefore, October 22 was designated as a santri day led by KH Hasyim Asy'ari for jihad against the Dutch colonialists. It was this spirit that sparked the ferocious resistance on November 10 and the departure of the Dutch from Indonesia. Along with its development, a new term emerged which became the subject of discussion among Islamic boarding schools, namely millennial santri. Millennial Santri is a generation that has jumped far beyond the reach of its predecessors but has not lost its identity as a Santri. With all the characteristics they have, millennial students have occupied a separate point of view in the hearts of Indonesian people. Now the role of millennial students with their predecessors. Millennial students play an active role as promoters and creatively respond to the times. In addition to millennial students who are diligent in reciting the Koran, pursuing Islamic studies, serving teachers, they must also be literate in ICT developments and capable of playing their role (as the author has described above). The learning process that occurs in schools is that students only get material from the teacher after it is finished. One of them is the case studies learning method. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in the material attributes of Allah SWT through the application of the case studies learning method in class VII B MTsN 1 Kerinci. Based on the Aqidah Akhlak test scores, there were 10 students with poor grades, 6 students with moderate scores, 3 students with good grades and 1 student with excellent grades. Based on cycle 1, there were 4 students with low scores, 8 students with moderate scores, 6 students with good scores and 2 students with very good grades. This shows that the learning outcomes of Aqidah Akhlak have not reached 50% of students whose learning outcomes are above the value/number 70, so that action is needed in cycle 2. Based on cycle 2 there were 10 students with sufficient scores, 5 students with good grades and 5 students very good students. This shows that the learning outcomes in this study have reached 50% of students whose learning outcomes are above the value/number 70, so there is no need for further action. The final conclusion in this study, the case studies learning method can improve learning outcomes Aqeedah morals, especially material about the Attributes of Allah SWT for students of class VII B MTsN 1 Kerinci.
