Work immersion, for lecturers, is a crucial element to the development of a university. Efforts to foster their contributions have to be continuously improved. This research aims to investigate the best way to advance lecturer’s work participation by examining causal relationship between lecturer’s work involvement with leadership variables, organizational justice and organizational trust. This research employs quantitative approach using path analysis, and was conducted in three private universities in Bogor. Total population of this research is 707 lecturers, whereas the sample taken was 130 people. The research found that: (1) there is a significant direct positive impact of leadership toward lecturer’s work involvement; (2) there is a significant positive impact of organizational justice toward lecturer’s work participation; and (3) there is a significant direct impact between trust toward organization and lecturer’s work contribution. Based on that findings, effective leadership, justice, and trust to the organization would improve lecturer’s work involvement in private university.

Demographic is one of the essential factors that may trigger the formation of organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB). This study investigates the level of differentiation of lecturers’ OCB profile at State Islamic College Gajah Putih based on demographic factors. The response is taken from 79 people as research sample. The data was analysed using technical analysis of Non Parametric Statistical Analysis through the Mann Whitney Test and Kruskal Wallis to determine the level of significance of the difference based on independent samples. The results of this study showed that there is a significant differentiation of OCB from several demographic predictors such as gender, employment status, years of service with a significance value of 0.001, 0.008 and 0.034 respectively. While the factors of the degree of education, career position status, and marriage do not have a significant differensiation with the value of 0.147, 0.395 and 0.358 respectively. It can be concluded that there are several predictors of demographic factors that have different and significant levels of OCB, namely gender, employment status and years of service, while predictors of education level, career position status and marital status do not have significant differences.

This research aims to investigate the leadership style of school principle of Tunas Teladan Elementary School Palembang and its’ implications to the quality of students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the data was collected through documentation, interviews, and observation. The study found that: 1) the leadership style of the headmaster in Tunas Teladan Elementary School, Palembang, is democratic combination with family values, but occasionally in certain situations he applies an authoritarian leadership pattern; 2) the leadership style brought about positive implications for the quality of students, both viewed from academic and non-academic aspects. Based on the results of these studies, it is expected that the leadership pattern of the school principals in Tunas Teladan Elementary School Palembang can be learnt as an example model for managers of educational institutions, both formal and non-formal, especially in improving the quality of students.

Abstract There is no doubt that pesantrens have a real contribution to the development of education. Historically, they have extensive experiences in fostering and developing the community. In fact, pesantrens are able to increase their role independently by exploring the potential of the communities around them. Improving the role of pesantren is a strategic step in building national development goals, especially in the education sector. For this reason, to develop their potential, the government drafted pesantren and religious law. On the contrary, the draft of law raises anxiety among pesantrens because it is perceived to disturb their management. In addition, it may become the tool for government intervention in Islamic boarding school system, which in turn may loose their distinctive characteristics as a local genius education institution in Indonesia. This research is an analytical study with a qualitative approach. The study found that the Islamic Boarding School and Religious Education Law aims to form individuals who understand and practice the values of their religion or become religious scholars who are faithful, pious, noble, knowledgeable, independent, ta'awun, tawazun and tawasut. The Islamic boarding school law has the advantage of being able to serve a clearer direction for the boarding school. However, its’ shortcomings are it open wider possibility of government interventions that may interfere household matters of the pesantrens too deeply, even though the pesantren is indeed an independent institution.

This research aims at investigating the role of zakat as an alternative means to fund education. Zakat is God’s command with dual functions, as a means of worship and social responsibility. Zakat could be spent to fund activities for the purpose of following Allah’s path (fi sabilillah). Yusuf Qardawi argues that ‘fi sabilillah’ is a form of jihad in the way of Allah. Whereas jihad in this sense covers struggle for education (tarbawi). This study utilizes Tafsir Ilmy approach to understand the interpretation of zakat for educational fund, while then enrich the data through a qualitative research. The data was gathered using observation, interviews, and documentation. The study begins by examining the interpretation of the Qur’an shura At Taubah (9): 60 according to a number of muffasirs and used it as the bedrock to analyse how zakat could become an alternative source for fund in education implemented in Masjid Darussalam Permatabiru Cinunuk. The research found that in Darussalam mosque, zakat function as scholarship fund namely Darussalam Scholarship (Dharso) which was given to four students to account for their study at university.

This research examines the management of extracurricular education early childhood. It is backed by that implementation of extracurricular activities on early childhood education face varieties of constraints in management. Therefore, extracurricular activities, early childhood education is supposed to be managed thoughtfully. The management of extracurricular activities are good and true will effect positively to the quality of early childhood education. The qualitative research methodology is library research. Method of data collection by collecting reference books the subject matter and book supporters. Data analysis techniques are content analysis. Results of the study show that the extracurricular management, early childhood education is implemented through the following four stages: (1) plan a needs analysis, types, background, goals, budget, materials, assessment tools, schedule, facilities and infrastructure, output criteria instructors, (2) organize the Division of duties, authority and responsibilities of the personnel of extracurricular activities, (3) carry out extracurricular activities appropriate planning and organizing, and (4) evaluate extracurricular activities.

This article is a qualitative research that aims to describe the implementation of environmentally sound school management in MAN 1 Samarinda. This school began to focus on becoming a school adiwiyata in 2015 and managed to achieve the achievement as a provincial school adiwiyata in 2017. Implementation of this adiwiyata program as a manifestation of the vision of MAN 1 Samarinda, which is MAN 1 Samarinda as a religious-based school is to realize the human resources has aqidah islam and morality, smart, independent, competitive, able to build partnership and concern for environmental sustainability. The Adiwiyata school program at MAN 1 Samarinda was designed by the Adiwiyata MAN 1 Samarinda program team which includes 4 components, ie environmentally sound policies, environmental-based curriculum implementation, participatory based activities and environmentally friendly use of facilities. Supporting factors in the implementation of the adiwiyata program in MAN 1 Samrinda, which is good cooperation of all components of the school community, environmentally friendly facilities and infrastructure and support from outside parties, one of them Environment Agency (DLH). While the inhibiting factor in the implementation of the adiwiyata program is the cost or budget and students’ awarenees of the environment.

This study is set forth from the existence of pesantren as the oldest educational institution in Indonesia which plays a central role within the socio-cultural environment construction of Indonesian society. In order to exist, today, the pesantren should be able to develop its intitution yet still maintaining its originality as the characteritics of the pesantren itself. The development strategy could be initiated through self-sustaining efforts which in fact bring a positive impact for pesantren. On the other hand, financial problems often threatens the existence of pesantren. The purpose of this research is to investigate the condition of boarding school Ar-Risalah Cijantung IV and economic initiatives developed by the boarding school. This research is a case study by employing qualitative approach. Data collecting techiques are done by interviews, observation and document study. The study found that economic initiatives that is conducted by the pesantren are livestock breeding, fishery, mining, agriculture and waste processing. Those initiatives have a positive impact on pesantren because they serve as other funding sources to support pesantren development without fully depend on government support. Those businesses also brought a positive impact for the community in the surrounding pesantren.

This study aims to describe the management of two types of archive, dynamic and static, in the Library and Archives Office of Magelang, Central Java. This is a case study with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model techniques by Miles and Huberman. The research found that: (1) management of the records consists of dynamic and static archives; (2) the archival storage is carried out independently and used classification system of problems; (3) the management of active dynamic archives consists of receiving of records, indexing, appointing, dispositioning, follow-up, and filing; (4) the management of inactive dynamic archives consist of selection, description, grouping, determination of schedule for archival retention, structuring, pengkamperisasian, and filing; (5) the management of static archives consist of planning, source identification, archival information maneuvering and definitive numbering, arrangement for storage (compiling inventory, labeling, validating inventory lists and binding inventory lists).

This is a case study with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model techniques by Miles and Huberman. The research found that: (1) management of the records consists of dynamic and static archives; (2) the archival storage is carried out independently and used classification system of problems; (3) the management of active dynamic archives consists of receiving of records, indexing, appointing, dispositioning, follow-up, and filing; (4) the management of inactive dynamic archives consist of selection, description, grouping, determination of schedule for archival retention, structuring, pengkamperisasian, and filing; (5) the management of static archives consist of planning, source identification, archival information maneuvering and definitive numbering, arrangement for storage (compiling inventory, labeling, validating inventory lists and binding inventory lists).","PeriodicalId":32146,"journal":{"name":"Manageria Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan Islam","volume":"58 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-17","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75847380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research is a follow-up study from previous research on strategic planning to establish Ma’had Aly Pondok Quran in Bandung. This research focused on the curriculum and facilities in Ma’had Aly Pondok Quran in Bandung. Using descriptive qualitative field research, the data is collected through documentation, observation, and interviews. The data is analyzed utilizing strategic factors analysis summary. The subject of the research is the head of Ma'had Aly Pondok Quran, the Muhafizh, the person in charge of the development of human resources and infrastructure of Ma'had Aly Pondok Quran, also twenty Ma’had Aly students. The results showed that the standard content of the material in Ma'had Aly curriculum still needed to be added and adjusted to support the legality of Ma'had Aly. The material that needs to be added in Ma'had Aly Pondok Quran is Manhaj Da'wah, Tafsir, Ulumul Qur'an and its branches of knowledge, Tauhid, Worship Fiqh, Computers, English, and Research Methodology. Whereas the infrastructure facilities of Ma'had Aly Pondok Quran which are the priority in development are pesantren dormitories for man and classes to support learning.
本研究是对马哈德·阿里·本德古兰经在万隆建立战略规划研究的后续研究。本研究的重点是万隆马哈德阿里本德古兰经的课程和设施。采用描述性定性实地研究,通过文献、观察和访谈收集数据。利用战略因素分析总结对数据进行分析。此次调查的对象是马哈德·阿里·蓬德·古兰经的负责人穆哈菲什、马哈德·阿里·蓬德·古兰经的人力资源和基础设施开发负责人以及20名马哈德·阿里学生。结果表明,马哈德阿里课程中教材的标准内容还需要增加和调整,以支持马哈德阿里的合法性。马哈德阿里庞德古兰经中需要添加的材料是曼哈伊达瓦、塔夫西、乌鲁姆古兰经及其知识分支、塔伊德、礼拜法、计算机、英语和研究方法论。而Ma'had Aly Pondok Quran的基础设施是发展的重点,是为男子提供的学生宿舍和支持学习的班级。
